Multicharged dyonic integrable models

We introduce and study new integrable models (IMs) of An (1)-nonabelian Toda type which admit U(1) ⊗ U(1) charged topological solitons. They correspond to the symmetry breaking SU(n + 1) → SU(2) ⊗ SU(2) ⊗ U(1)n-2 and are conjectured to describe charged dyonic domain walls of N = 1 SU(n + 1) SUSY gauge theory in large n limit. It is shown that this family of relativistic IMs corresponds to the first negative grade q = -1 member of a dyonic hierarchy of generalized cKP type. The explicit relation between the 1-soliton solutions (and the conserved charges as well) of the IMs of grades q = -1 and q = 2 is found. The properties of the IMs corresponding to more general symmetry breaking SU(n + 1) → SU(2)⊗p ⊗ U(1)n-p as well as IM with global SU(2) symmetries are discussed. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. Variational method for excited states from supersymmetric techniques

We suggest a method for constructing trial eigenfunctions for excited states to be used in the variational method. This method is a generalization of the one that uses a superpotential to obtain the trial functions for the ground state. The construction of an effective hierarchy of Hamiltonians is used to determine excited variational energies. The first four eigenvalues for a quartic double-well potential are calculated for several values of the potential parameter. The results are in very good agreement with the eigenvalues obtained by numerical integration.

This paper proposes a comparative analysis of cultural critical, articles and reports related to the 28th International Biennial of Art of São Paulo published in the newspapers O Estado de S. Paulo and Jornal Semanal da 28ª Bienal de São Paulo, from October to December 2008. Specific aims of analysis are how an institution devoted, like Biennial, creates mechanisms to defend their choices and hegemonic position within the arts field and also to examine how this dedication can be demystified by critics from diffusion field not linked to the institution. For the study will be used the concepts of field, hierarchy of legitimacy and position of an agent developed by Pierre Bourdieu, as well as historical notions of Cultural Journalism and journalistic criticism
