Os códigos lingüísticos em Sinhá Secada

Apresentamos, neste trabalho, o resultado do levantamento de vocabulário e expressões para a interpretação da organização dos códigos lingüísticos presentes no conto Sinhá Secada de Guimarães Rosa. Utilizando o conceito de código (campos semânticos) de Barthes, analisam-se os códigos jurídico e religioso, que refletem, fundamentalmente, o universo cultural dos personagens, bem como os códigos do silêncio e do despojamento que funcionam, sobretudo, como elementos de caracterização da personagem. Acima deles, como supracódigo, analisamos o código da água, fundamental na estrutura narrativa.

Conduta do paciente hipertenso frente ao tratamento clínico

The urbanization process established in Brazilian society since the middle of last century brought changes in the population habits and customs, which was responsible for the increased of chronic diseases incidence, such as arterial hypertension, for example. Although this is a common disease nowadays, it is still difficult to establish a significant control in subjects with this disease and its consequences. This is apparently due to lack of interest to the correct plan of care developed for the treatment of this disease. The nursing consultation identifies potential problematic situations and the patient needs, setting actions that are complementary to their benefit in order to promote health. The present work aims to observe how the nursing consultation is being used as strategy for patients with arterial hypertension, and to understand the difficulties faced during treatment of these patients. For this purpose, it was performed qualitative and quantitative studies with patients from Centro Saúde Escola (CSE), Unidade Auxiliar, Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu, UNESP, located in Botucatu, employing as methodology the Discourse of the Collective Subject and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative results. The vast majority of consultations were held by medical professionals and it was observed that the multidisciplinary work still needs to be recognized and valued by users. The lack of knowledge of some individuals in relation to the potential and importance of the nursing consultation occurs not only for the treatment of arterial hypertension, but for the treatment and monitoring of the individual as a whole. Therefore, it is still necessary to clarify the true essence and necessity of the nursing consultation, since so important tool should be used in its entirely. Moreover, the role of the multidisciplinary team should be more discussed

É de pequenino que se torne o pepino: o processo pedagógico de construção das regras de trabalho e de conduta, em duas salas do Proepre

O desenvolvimento da moral na criança inicia-se muito cedo, na medida em que vivencia experiências sociomorais. Piaget observou num jogo infantil fases do desenvolvimento moral relativos à prática e a consciência da regra, a partir das quais é possível fazer uma analogia com toda a sociedade. A escola é um espaço privilegiado para manifestações de caráter eminentemente morais, podendo assim influenciar significativamente no desenvolvimento moral dos sujeitos. Uma prática comum nesse sentido é o estabelecimento de combinados de regras nas classes de Educação Infantil. Assim objetivou-se neste trabalho estudar como essa forma de construção de regras tem se constituído. Para tanto se realizaram observações sistemáticas em duas salas de aula em escolas públicas em um município do interior de São Paulo (em que se implantou o PROEPRE) e se aplicou questionário às professoras a fim de caracterizá-las enquanto sujeitos de pesquisa. Tais observações ocorreram entre fevereiro e maio de 2009, em momentos distintos da rotina de cada classe. Os dados coletados nos permitiram concluir que o tempo de experiência e formação dos sujeitos não se constituíram necessariamente em fatores relevantes para o tipo de trabalho desenvolvido com relação à construção de regras em suas salas de aula. Concluímos também que a maneira com que os professores conduziram a construção de regras com seus alunos não contribuiu significativamente para o desenvolvimento moral das crianças e para a superação da heteronomia e egocentrismo infantil segundo o referencial piagetiano

Corrigindo erros por meio de códigos lineares

Desde os trabalhos de Claude Shannon, em 1948, o avan¸co tecnológico na área das telecomunicações tem sido notável. Um grande problema na transmissão de mensagens por algum canal sempre residiu no fato de que, ao atravessar o canal, o conteúdo transmitido sofre distorções e chega modificado ao destinatário, o que impossibita a sua leitura correta. Graças ao trabalho de Shannon, esse problema obteve uma solução. Para identificar erros na transmissão de uma mensagem e corrigí-los, criaram-se os códigos corretores de erros, dos quais trataremos neste artigo, com destaque à classe dos códigos lineares. Para tanto, serão dados alguns resultados importantes relacionados aos corpos finitos, que são estruturas algébricas importantes sobre as quais se constroem esses códigos.

Uma construção de códigos BCH

Um código BCH C (respectivamente, um código BCH C 0 ) de comprimento n sobre o anel local Zp k (respectivamente, sobre o corpo Zp) é um ideal no anel Zpk [X] (Xn−1) (respectivamente, no anel Zp[X] (Xn−1) ), que ´e gerado por um polinômio mônico que divide Xn−1. Shankar [1] mostrou que as raízes de Xn−1 são as unidades do anel de Galois GR(p k , s) (respectivamente, corpo de Galois GF(p, s)) que é uma extensão do anel Zp k (respectivamente, do corpo Zp), onde s é o grau de um polinômio irredutível f(X) ∈ Zp k [X]. Neste estudo, assumimos que para si = b i , onde b é um primo e i é um inteiro não negativo tal que 0 ≤ i ≤ t, existem extensões de anéis de Galois correspondentes GR(p k , si) (respectivamente, extensões do corpo de Galois GF(p, si)) do anel Zp k (respectivamente, do corpo Zp). Assim, si = b i para i = 2 ou si = b i para i > 2. De modo análogo a [1], neste trabalho, apresentamos uma sequência de códigos BCH C0, C1, · · · , Ct−1C sobre Zp k de comprimentos n0, n1, · · · , nt−1, nt , e uma sequência de códigos BCH C 0 0 , C0 1 , · · · , C0 t−1 , C0 sobre Zp de comprimentos n0, n1, · · · , nt−1, nt , onde cada ni divide p si − 1. Construção de códigos esféricos através do reticulado hexagonal

Códigos esféricos n-dimensionais gerados por grupos comutativos em dimensão par, n = 2m, podem ser determinados pelo quociente de reticulados m-dimensionais, quando os vetores que geram o sub-reticulado são mutuamente ortogonais [4]. Apresentamos a construção de sub-reticulados nestas condições, a partir do reticulado hexagonal, A2. Comparamos a distância mínima do código esfé- rico construído através do quociente destes reticulados com o limitante da distância mínima estabelecido em [5].

Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis is a periodontal disease which suddenly appears and presents an acute clinical course, characterized by patients' pain, discomfort and halitosis. Ulceration on papilla and marginal gingiva can be observed. For this reason, patients presenting this condition may seek dental assistance in Health Units or Graduation Institutions, being the dentist responsible for the adoption of a clinical treatment that minimizes symptomatology. The purpose of this case report is to expose and discuss aspects of clinical treatment for this disease applied to the reality of this service.

Estratégias de leitura: relações entre as concepções do material Linguagens, Códigos e suas tecnologias: língua portuguesa e a prática docente

Diretrizes de conduta e tratamento de síndromes febris periódicas associadas à criopirina (Criopirinopatias–CAPS)

To establish guidelines based on cientific evidences for the management of cryopyrin associated periodic syndromes. The Guideline was prepared from 4 clinical questions that were structured through Pico (Patient, Intervention or indicator, Comparison and Outcome), to search in key primary scientific information databases. After defining the potential studies to support the recommendations, these were graduated considering their strength of evidence and grade of recommendation. 1215 articles were retrieved and evaluated by title and abstract; from these, 42 articles were selected to support the recommendations. 1. The diagnosis of Caps is based on clinical history and clinical manifestations, and later confirmed by genetic study. Caps may manifest itself in three phenotypes: FCAS (mild form), MWS (intermediate form) and Cinca (severe form). Neurological, ophthalmic, otorhinolaryngological and radiological assessments may be highly valuable in distinguishing between syndromes; 2. The genetic diagnosis with NLRP3 gene analysis must be conducted in suspected cases of Caps, i.e., individuals presenting before 20 years of age, recurrent episodes of inflammation expressed by a mild fever and urticaria; 3. Laboratory abnormalities include leukocytosis and elevated serum levels of inflammatory proteins; 4. Targeted therapies directed against interleukin-1 lead to rapid remission of symptoms in most patients. However, there are important limitations on the long-term safety. None of the three anti-IL-1β inhibitors prevents progression of bone lesions.

Diretrizes de conduta e tratamento de síndromes febris periódicas: síndrome de febre periódica, estomatite aftosa, faringite e adenite

To establish guidelines based on scientific evidence for the management of periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome. The Guideline was prepared from 5 clinical questions that were structured through PICO (Patient, Intervention or indicator, Comparison and Outcome), to search in key primary scientific information databases. After defining the potential studies to support the recommendations, these were graduated considering their strength of evidence and grade of recommendation. 806 articles were retrieved and evaluated by title and abstract; from these, 32 articles were selected to support the recommendations. 1. PFAPA is a diagnosis of exclusion established on clinical grounds, and one must suspect of this problem in children with recurrent and periodic febrile episodes of unknown origin, or with recurrent tonsillitis interspersed with asymptomatic periods, especially in children in good general condition and with preservation of weight and height development; 2. Laboratory findings are nonspecific. Additional tests do not reveal pathognomonic changes; 3. The evidence supporting an indication for surgical treatment (tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy), is based on two non-blinded randomized clinical trials with small numbers of patients; 4. The use of prednisone at the onset of fever in patients with PFAPA proved to be an effective strategy. There is still need for more qualified evidence to support its use in patients with PFAPA; 5. Despite promising results obtained in studies with IL-1ß inhibitors, such studies are limited to a few case reports.
