No sempre reconhecido realismo euripidiano se inclui um envolvimento político. É notável o elogio a Atenas, seja a seu passado ilustre, seja a seu papel no mundo grego. Entretanto a guerra a que Atenas se atira e que faz enfraquecer a Grécia é condenada, pois a defesa de Atenas, concretizada na defesa de seu regime político, a democracia, não inclui a defesa do imperialismo ateniense. Assim, acima de Eurípides patriota se ergue o Eurípides humanista, preocupado com as responsabilidades do ser humano, não apenas do cidadão. Thus, Euripides the patriot is excelled by Euripides the humanist, who is more concerned with the responsibilities of the human being, than with those of the citizen’s.

Como a busca por vitórias se torna cada vez mais difícil no esporte coletivo, qualquer vantagem é vista como um diferencial em cada partida. Além da vantagem física e tática, que seriam os mais tradicionais, os treinadores buscam outros meios como vantagem psicológica ou jogar com o mando de campo, que para muitos não passa de ter a torcida a favor, mas para os jogadores e treinadores a torcida tem papel importante de incentivar e para os adversários os deixar nervosos, também não se esquecendo da vantagem de conhecer e treinar no local do jogo alem de poupar os atletas do desgaste de viagens. Este trabalho visa verificar como o mando de campo interfere nos atletas de futsal, alem de como as variadas torcidas influenciam os jogadores durante a partida e como os atletas vêem seus companheiros de time. Foi realizado uma pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, pela técnica de questionário fechado, que possibilitou a compreensão do fato em estudo, ampliando nossa visão. No decorrer de nosso estudo constatamos que de maneira geral jogar em casa é fator determinante para o resultado final da partida, o que menos motiva os atletas é a possibilidade do juiz ser influenciado pela torcida local e que o grupo masculino é mais fácil de ser motivado do que o grupo feminino. Com os resultados obtidos o treinador passa a conhecer melhor seus jogadores, podendo assim, talvez, escalar o time melhor em momentos difíceis.

The stream fish fauna from the rio Machado basin, Rondônia State, Brazil

The rio Machado (also known as Ji-Paraná) is a tributary of the rio Madeira in the Amazon basin. Currently, the rio Madeira contains the greatest fish species richness of the world, with approximately 1,000 species. The present study presents the fish inventory from streams of the rio Machado basin. In total, 75 stream reaches, 80 meter-length, randomly selected, were sampled in 2011 (August to October) and 2012 (June to July). Overall, 22,875 fish in eight orders, 32 families, 89 genera, and 140 species were collected. Richness estimators indicate that almost 90% of the expected richness was registered. The great majority of specimens (52.2%) was represented by small sized piabas such as Serrapinnus aff. notomelas, Moenkhausia collettii, Serrapinnus microdon, and Hemigrammus melanochrous. Of the total richness, 25 species were restricted to 9°00’ S and 10°00’ S; among them, 14 were exclusive to the lower portion of the basin, which exhibits the larger proportion of native vegetation covering.

His friend, King Theseus, provides him the support needed to dissuade him from his purpose of annihilation and strengthens him for endurance. The valuation of philia is an important element in shaping the sense of this euripidean text.

Draft genome sequence of shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli Strain D92/09

Escherichia coli is suspected to be involved with Crohn's disease. Adherence and invasion to epithelial cells are properties commonly observed in these bacteria. Here, we present a draft genome sequence of E. coli D92/09, a multidrug-resistant strain, which besides showing these properties produces Shiga cytotoxin-1 and possibly other toxins.
