A área de estudo deste trabalho engloba as bacias hidrográficas dos rios Aguapeí e Peixe, localizadas a Oeste do Estado de São Paulo. Estas por sua vez estão vinculadas aos Comitês de Bacias Hidrográficas Aguapeí e Peixe (CBH-AP). Diante da iminência da implementação da política de cobrança pelo uso dos recursos hídricos nessa área, o presente trabalho apresenta em linhas gerais o estudo da vazão específica de forma que os resultados possam contribuir com os órgãos públicos de gestão a fim de que se execute uma gestão mais efetiva dos recursos hídricos. Com base em dados hidrológicos das estações fluviométricas inventariadas através do Sistema Integrado de Gestão de Recursos Hídricos do Estado de São Paulo (SIGRH) e da Agência Nacional de Águas (ANA) nas duas bacias hidrográficas, procedeu-se o estudo da vazão específica. Os resultados desses estudos apontam para uma maior variabilidade da vazão específica média na bacia hidrográfica do rio do Peixe, uma vez que ao longo da série histórica essa bacia apresenta maiores valores de vazão, foi possível também observar as mudanças no comportamento da vazão hidrológica nas duas bacias hidrográficas, ou seja, através dos três períodos hidrológicos identificados foi possível depreender que a vazão específica média em um período se mostra bem distribuída em ambas as bacias hidrográficas, em outro período hidrológico essa distribuição já se apresenta mais desigual. Tais informações possibilitam aos órgãos de gestão um planejamento mais refinado e eficiente

O presente trabalho objetivou oferecer subsídios para o Planejamento Territorial, através da caracterização geomorfológica da Bacia do Ribeirão Piracicamirim, caracterização esta que permitiu reconhecer a morfodinâmica dos ambientes pleiteados à ocupação e/ou já ocupados. Através desta caracterização foi possível conhecer as suscetibilidades geomorfológicas da área e, a partir daí, verificou-se algumas especificações da Legislação Ambiental Brasileira referente a estas áreas. Além das características do relevo, foram analisadas também algumas das regulamentações referentes à conservação da vegetação, para assim, apontar sob a forma de registro cartográfico, os setores onde ocorre legalmente a limitação ao uso e ocupação do solo. A fim de se alcançar os objetivos traçados, foi utilizada a abordagem direta e indireta da bacia hidrográfica do Ribeirão Piracicamirim. A primeira foi realizada através de trabalhos de campo e a segunda foi efetuada através da revisão bibliográfica, cartográfica e da elaboração de documentos cartográficos da área. Como orientação metodológica foi adotada a Teoria Geral dos Sistemas aplicada à ciência geográfica. Os documentos cartográficos produzidos mostraram que alguns setores da presente bacia necessitam de uma melhor atenção quanto às questões ambientais. Tratase de áreas onde o conjunto das características físicas do ambiente, juntamente com o uso e ocupação da terra predominante tem ocasionado intensos processos erosivos em diferentes estágios de evolução. Constatou-se que a retirada da mata original para o cultivo da cana-de-açúcar tem ocasionado grandes problemas erosivos que merecem uma melhor atenção dos órgãos responsáveis pelo Planejamento Territorial da bacia.

The São Paulo State has as one of its main rivers the Tietê, which is an extremely important source because of its biodiversity, use in navigation and mainly as direct supplier of water for thousands of people in the region. Currently, the biodiversity of marine and freshwater ecosystems has been threatened, primarily by environmental problems resulting from the degradation of ecosystems, an example is the stretch of the Middle Tietê River, where the Barra Bonita dam (SP) focused virtually the whole load organic effluents from the metropolitan region of São Paulo, leading to eutrophication with the loss of water quality. This basin is located in the Peixe’s River, a tributary of the Barra Bonita whose sources are on the slopes of the Cuesta de Botucatu, presenting an altitudinal gradient in a good state of conservation and water quality. From another perspective, the studies related to parasites and other pathogens of aquatic organisms have considerably increased the relevance, especially those hosts with potential for growing and marketing, given the significant increase these activities in Brazil and worldwide. Among the agents responsible for diseases in fish are the myxosporean, which can cause major economic damage, with high mortality ratios. Based on the above, this study evaluated the biodiversity of myxosporean parasites of two species of fish Acestrorhynchus lacustris and Steindachnerina insculpta. During the period January to November 2012, 40 specimens of Acestrorhynchus lacustris and 33 specimens of Steindachnerina insculpta were collected from the Peoxe’s river at four different points. The necropsies were performed and all organs were analyzed looking for myxosporean. Only the species Steindachnerina insculpta had their gills parasitized by two species of the genus Henneguya

This monograph, presented in order to obtain the title of Environmental Engineer, proposes the use of nucleation techniques for the restoration of permanent preservation areas formed by three springs that contribute to the formation of Santo Anastacio river, city of Regent Feijo – São Paulo. Through Mine Water Project, landowners are encouraged to restore and conserve springs that contribute to the public water supply, being paid through the fees for environmental services. Once the simulation of this payment was reached at R$ 630.00 per year. Nucleation techniques will be proposed in order to facilitate the ecological succession, through techniques known as transposition of the soil, transposition of the branches, artificial perches and planting in groups of Anderson, totaling 81 cores covering an area of 208.3 m2 which corresponds to 1.9% of the total area to be restored. Made the survey of forest fragments in the watershed, it was found that only 12.39% of the total area has remnant vegetation

O gênero Astyanax é um dos mais abundantes e diversificados da família Characidae (subfamília Tetragonopterinae), com mais de 100 espécies nominais, estando amplamente distribuído na bacia do Alto rio Paraná. Esse gênero é caracterizado pela similaridade quanto à forma do corpo, além da alta variabilidade citogenética intra e interpopulações, sendo comum a ocorrência de espécies crípticas ou complexos de espécies. Devido à escassez de dados sobre genética molecular referentes a esse gênero, e a dificuldade na identificação taxonômica, fazse necessário um estudo utilizando marcadores moleculares que visem desenvolver métodos rápidos e eficientes para caracterização de espécies de Astyanax com base em análises de DNA. Em vista dessa necessidade, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a eficiência da técnica de PCR-RFLP do gene mitocondrial Citocromo b na identificação e caracterização da variabilidade genética de cinco espécies do gênero Astyanax que ocorrem na bacia do Alto rio Paraná. O mtDNA das espécies alvo foi totalmente amplificado, num total de cerca de 1140 pares de bases (pb). As análises foram obtidas através dos haplótipos gerados com a digestão por três enzimas de restrição que clivam estes genes, sendo estas ALUI, BAMHI, e HPAII. Foram analisadas 2 populações de Astyanax paranae, A. altiparanae, A. fasciatus, A. bockmanni, e uma população de A. biotae, com amostragens variando entre 5 e 10 indivíduos de cada população. Como grupo externo foram analisadas duas populações de Astyanax ribeirae da bacia hidrográfica do rio Ribeira de Iguape. Ao final do trabalho foi possível a identificação de 4 das 6 espécies analisadas, sendo que as espécies mais divergentes são A. altiparanae e A. ribeirae, as espécies A. paranae + A. bockmanni e A. fasciatus + A. ribeirae são as mais fortemente relacionadas...(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo)

The water resources scarceness in world become more evident and worried everyday, because the occurrence of water waste, without consider context of potable water deficit, period of long dryness, resource distribution and population density, urban concentration, industrial and rural areas, pollution process, contamination, beyond aspect related to sanitation and public health affect an entire population. At Itu city, this problem is already real, the population face the lack of water risk in dryness period, damaging their life quality and the city economic development, because Itu is a touristic city that has a mixed economy with activities in business dealing, agriculture and industrial department, all conect to water consumption.

The late industrialization, together with other factors, ended up directing much of the rural population to cities, without adequate planning, resulting in high density and irregular settlements in risk areas to low-income population. The man settled in the urban site to break environmental laws that eventually causing an imbalance in the natural environment, causing or exacerbating the shortage in availability of water resources. This situation also happened in Presidente Prudente, especially in the east, the focus of this research. Therefore, this study aims to understand the causes of degradation of waterways in urban areas, focusing on society's relationship with nature and its consequences on environmental quality and quality of life of urban population located in the watershed of stream of Gramado, Presidente Prudente - São Paulo. In this catchment there is the irregular deposition of solid waste in the valley, remnants of old pollution release of domestic sewage and industrial (currently collected and intended for treatment), accelerated processes of erosion in some areas of intensive use of the relief and consequently, the bed siltation of streams that are part of the basin. The quality of urban life was seen through socioeconomic and environmental indicators, which were identified through questionnaires to residents, according to local residence in the landscape, divided into three segments: the tops 60 residents, 90 residents and 112 residents in the areas in valley bottoms. With these data we can relate them to the degradation of the basin and aggregate them to the quality of life of residents. The crescent increasing demand of the electric power in Brazil has stimulated the implantation of Small Central Hydroelectric Power (SCHP) in several regions of the country. However, the silting up of the reservoirs is one of the main problems faced by hydroelectric power plants and SCHP. In this context, this research aimed evaluate the phenomenology and propose the enforcement of appropriate bioengineering techniques to control the intense erosive process of the hydrographical basin of the “Alto Rio Sucuriú,” that cause silting up of the reservoirs of the SCHP Costa Rica, located in the municipal district of Costa Rica (MS). In order to identify the phenomenology of the main falling in of this basin, a diagnosis of the conditions of the physical environment of the region (climate, geology, pedology, hydrology, and use of the ground) was realized. A surveying was also realized to specify the geometric feature of the falling in using the Total Station of the Ruide brand, series RTS 860R and the geodetic GPS of the Ashtech brand and the data obtained was used on the preparation of the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the falling in. Based on this diagnosis an official register of the falling in was done with identification of the different types of present erosion. Due to the advanced erosive stage of the falling in researched, the use of bioengineering techniques could be the best solution considering that the traditional engineering techniques make use of heavy material like concrete, iron and large machines that besides causing higher impact to the natural and esthetic aspects of the environment also require a higher investment of capital. This research establish a great cooperation to the knowledge of the erosive process and of the rehabilitation of the degraded areas with application of bioengineering techniques not only hydrographical basin of “Alto Rio Sucuriú” but also to other basins that show similar situation

Environmental diagnosis fits in analysis social-spatial organization insofar it contributes to understanding past and present aspects of how a territory works as well as enables the creation of statements for future ordainment. In this context, the present study aims at contributing with data for creating recovery and environmental preservation projects for the basin of Macacos‟ stream‟s headwaters, located in the north of Álvares Machado county in São Paulo state. To achieve this purpose, the main characteristics and existing uses in the basin have been analyzed and its main environmental problems were identified in the data and information collected in journals, field work and interviews with dwellers from the interested area and local government authorities. On this way, a diagnosis of the environmental state of the studied area was performed considering its specific issues regarding the natural and physical process as well as human influences. From the analysis carried out it was possible to identify environmental impacts on different levels resulting from the conflictuous relation between uses and occupations and the natural dynamics of the studied basin.

There is a demand to incorporate the nature in the city in order to meet the wishes of the entire population. The valuation of water, a key component of the quality of the landscape, becomes a key element in this context both for its ecological potential because of their potential for recreational activities. The areas that suffer most impacts are the Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) and this paper will be a weighting on the urban interface - PPA. With the study area the basin of the stream of Limoeiro, in the context of the Friendship Fountain Balneary, especially the source contained between residential neighborhoods Maré Mansa and Parque Imperial, the city of Presidente Prudente and Álvares Machado, Sao Paulo, this paper aims to search and use of knowledge about technologies and techniques of environmental restoration, with emphasis on bioengineering, through an environmental characterization of the basin, with a view the incorporation of nature in the lives of the urban population. The methodology includes: literature review priority issues related to the PPAs, linear parks, relevant environmental legislation, environmental characterization of the watershed of the stream Limoeiro; study of technologies and techniques for environmental remediation of soil bioengineering and implementation of parks linear, development of proposals for the environmental recovery of PPA in the basin of the stream Limoeiro, focusing on emerging... This paper aimed to give a contribution to improve water resources management, consists of the analysis of interaction among groundwater and streamflow, by through the analysis of the relationship between basic and total streamflow, based on measured hidrological data from Ribeirão Boa Vista or Córrego Lajeado. watershed. Comparisons among groundwaterflow in this basin with another one in Rio Corumbataí basin were made based on the specific basic flow, in order to verify the possibility of the utilization of measured hydrological data in other basins with similar geological characteristics and soil use and occupation. Based upon the comparisons that were made, specific basic flow does not represent a good tool for extrapolation of measured data, indicating that this comparison shall be weighted by others characteristics as permeability and thickness of geological formations. Finally, it was possible to conclude that basic flow may be considered as an additional parameter for analysis of hydrological and hydrogeological characteristics of a basin and to provide subsidies to release legal licenses for water resources uses. related to surface water as well as for groundwater and may also be used as a tool for consolidation of integrated management of water resources, that is considered as a necessary and essential practice to avoid conflicts between users of water resources in a river basin.
