Há sinergia entre o sistema lean manufacturing e a gestão ambiental? mapeando o estado da arte

In recent decades, two research themes have been prominent in the academic and organizational setting: lean manufacturing and green management. Since 1996, when Florida (1996) wrote an article focusing on the synergy between these two areas, the debate if “Lean is Green?” enters in the academic field. It is in this context that this research presents the results of a systematic literature on the topic, focusing on the characteristics, positive and negative impacts, lean paradigms, green paradigms and design of supply chains. To perform this procedure it were followed the methodological footsteps of Lage Junior and Godinho Filho (2010). The research occurred in the database Scopus and it was conducted from June, 2012 to July, 2012.The key word used was “green lean” and as search filter it were included only articles and conference Papers. Their main result is a deep analysis of the accumulated knowledge on the subject, where it is revealed that the majority of studies point to the synergy between some components of the lean manufacturing system in relation to environmental management. The research gap found is related to articles that address the entropy of the union of lean and green systems.

Understanding dance in all its educational aspects, creative and liberating, this of course work completion back motivating information for new studies and reflections. This study did a literature review to contextualize and detail reach the story and how it perpetuates in practice the dance style Waacking, sought the understanding of how the body is inserted in our society, made notes on the Sport Psychology regarding the topic fear and shame, and pledged to address the conflicting issues of gender and sexuality, to then be possible to develop what has been objectified. This study sought to establish whether there are national publications on the Waacking dance style and what their contributions to the Brazilian context, verifying the presence of stereotypes and prejudices to males in it are inserted. As used method, the survey was conducted in online databases having the following sites as a source of scientific academic content to nationwide: Google Scholar (like the filter to search only in Portuguese language - as the focus of the research is to gather national publications); Journals Portal CAPES / MEC; and SciELO - (Scientific Electronic Library Online). Efeitos da desconexão de habitat na diversidade funcional de anfíbios anuros (Amphibia: Anura) na Mata Atlântica

Amphibian populations worldwide have been suffering declines generated by habitat degradation, loss, fragmentation and habitat split. With habitat loss and fragmentation in the landscape comes habitat split, which is the separation between the adult anuran habitat and breeding sites, forcing individuals to move through matrix during breeding seasons. Thus, habitat split increases the chance of extinction of amphibians with aquatic larval development and acts as a filter in the selection of species having great influence on species richness and community structure. The use of functional diversity allows us to consider the identity and characteristics of each species to understand the effects of fragmentation processes. The objective of this study was to estimate the effects of habitat split, as well as habitat loss in the landscape, on amphibians functional diversity (FD) and species richness (S). We selected 26 landscapes from a database with anuran surveys of Brazilian Atlantic Forest. For each landscape we calculated DF, S and landscape metrics at multiple scales. To calculate the DF we considered traits that influenced species use and persistence in the landscape. We refined maps of forest remnants and water bodies for metrics calculation. To relate DF and S (response variables) to landscape variables (explanatory variables), we used a model selection approach, fitting generalized linear models (GLMS) and making your selection with AICc. We compared the effect of model absence and models with habitat split, habitat amount and habitat connectivity effects, as well as their interaction. The most plausible models for S were the sum and interaction between habitat split in 7.5 km scale. For anurans with terrestrial development, habitat amount was the only plausible explanatory variable, in the 5 km scale. O reflexo do espelho não mostra a subalternidade: Drácula sob uma perspectiva pós-colonial

This paper aims to make a Postcolonial Reading of the Gothic novel Dracula, written by Bram Stoker. Most importantly, it is considered how the subaltern is silenced, and that how this silence reflects the characters responsible for the discourse construction in the book. For this purpose, the theories of three important writers of the Post-Colonialism, Edward Said, Homi Bhabha and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, were studied, as well as the enlightening ideas of Stephen Arata in The Occidental Tourist: Dracula and the Anxiety of Reverse Colonization. It also verified the construction of Orientalism in Stoker's work, and its constitutively hybrid and transparent characters due the speech manipulation with the ideological filter of the hegemonic power. This manipulation also characterizes the fragmentation in the work, which is an indication, among others, of modernity in Stoker's novel

Síntese e caracterização de derivados de benzofenona e ácido cinâmico com atividade fotoprotetora

A radiação ultravioleta emitida pela radiação solar pode causar sérios danos à pele humana, sendo essa estratificada em três regiões do espectro de luz: UVA (315-400nm), UVB (280-315nm) e UVC (200-280nm). A incidência da radiação UVA sobre a pele induz a formação de espécies reativas de oxigênio (EROS), afetando indiretamente o DNA humano, podendo provocar câncer de pele. Além disso, a radiação UVB afeta diretamente as bases pirimidínicas das moléculas de DNA, aumentando sua produção e favorecendo processos mutagênicos, produzindo novas células tumorigênicas também. Entre os filtros solares químicos conhecidos estão as benzofenonas e os cinamatos. O objetivo deste trabalho foi sintetizar pró-fármacos derivados de filtros solares químicos baseados nas estruturas das benzofenonas ligadas à derivados do ácido cinâmico, com propriedades antioxidantes para, desta maneira, obter um composto que prevenisse a carcinogênese cutânea por diferentes vertentes. Foram obtidos dois compostos, os quais foram caracterizados estruturalmente por Ressonância Magnética Nuclear de Hidrogênio e sua capacidade fotoprotetora através do método Optometrics, indicando atividade promissora.
