The two moments of labor established the confrontation of his positions with the treatment given to the topics studied by historiography in the variety of their views.

O Ensaísmo na Historiografia Brasileira

In this paper we analyze the question of character essayistic the historiography of the first half of the twentieth century. We examined this issue due to the emergence of a new trend on the historiographical colonization (School of Rio) who criticizes, among other things, the essay-like character in historiography. Whereas the criticism expressed how a new trend breaks with the existing historiography, we decided to examine this critical gauge. To promote the overcoming of a certain history is necessary to understand it in its historicity, that is, the motivations that led historians to examine the history of a given way. Of course, criticism is a moment of transcendence. But to be a radical departure is necessary to understand the historiography of historical criticism and not simply point their supposed mistakes, shortcomings and failures.

Um estudo sobre a relação entre Caio Prado Júnior e Fernando A. Novais

In this paper we propose to analyze the relationship established by Fernando Novais with Caio Prado regarding the studies about the colonization. Putting himself as his disciple, Novais exposes his conception of colonization as a deepening means and a way to overcome the way by which the author of Formação do Brasil contemporâneo understood the colonial phenomenon. This way of putting this relationship has been accepted by both the critics and supporters of Novais, thus acquiring certainty of truth. We show in this paper that by rooting his conception of colonization in Prado’s conception, Novais conceived him in a particular way: as an historian of the ‘sense of colonization’. The analysis of Prado’s concept of colonization shows, however, that this is part of his interpretation of the history of Brazil, as a whole. It follows that we can’t isolate one from the other without disturbing the comprehension of Prado’s conception. The result of our text is thus retaking the Prado’s conception in its historicity.

Starting from the set wherein Vidas Secas (1938) stands out, it is possible to establish parameters that make of Graciliano Ramos’ oeuvre the overcoming of realism due to the scope of representation and the quality of formal handling developed by the author, imbibed in the Brazilian and universal literary tradition, and whose result the criticism of Antonio Candido, skilful in taking into account the former critique, points out with precision. Perusing the facts that mark the creation and reception of Vidas Secas (including the production of the movie by Nelson Pereira dos Santos in 1963), the present work is a preamble for analyses that take into account the coherence of Graciliano Ramos with the absorption of expressive resources used by American and European practitioners of a literature engaged in adjusting the expression of contrasts and in reformulating the so-called regionalism

Errâncias e itinerâncias de uma pesquisa avaliativa em saúde: a construção de uma metodologia participativa

The study presents the construction process of research methodology "Training in SUS Humanization: effects evaluation of training processes from institutional supporters on health productionin Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo territories." There was a search for developing an appropriate evaluative practice to the training processes, a methodology that instead of evaluating on something, assessed along with the supporters who attended the training-intervention, a participatory methodology.Therefore, the constitution of the Research Interest Group was an eminent tool. Trained supporters comprised the research team to expand participatory possibilities of a large and dispersed group, producing interferences in the investigative process conduction, described and analyzed in the study.At the same time, their experiences interfered in the understandings they had until then about the intervention-training experiences and effects on their daily lives, after almost four years.Thus, the methodological approach was intrinsically linked to the construction of a subjectivity differentiated plan and necessarily collective, which shifted the position of supporters involved from mere data suppliers to a lateralityposition in relation to other actors.The trial afforded by participatory strategies allowed researchers and supporters to interfere and compose the evaluation scenario with remarkable performances throughout the investigative process.The survey configuration was like a bet on a given methodological architecture that, in seeking to overcome evaluator-evaluated logic produced information for (retro) feedingthe intervention triggered by it. In the formative dimension, it also went through working processes analyzed by supporters rescuing the indissoluble characteristic that health activities mobilize among intervening, training and reviewing.

Aspectos físicos e fisiológicos de sementes de Fimbristylis dicothoma relacionados à germinação e dormência

In the seeds of pioneer plants, the application of treatments for breaking dormancy, and selection by colour and size, are strategies for obtaining seeds of less dormancy and better germination performance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the physical and physiological aspects of seeds of the tall fringe-rush (Fimbristylis dichotoma) on germination and dormancy. To do this, the seeds were submitted to the following treatments in three studies: (i) control, immersion in H2SO4 (98%, 36N) for 1 minute, immersion in KNO3 (1, 2 and 3%) for 15 minutes, seeding on a substrate moistened with KNO3 (0.2%) and exposure for 5 and 10 hours in a forced air circulation oven at 40 and 70 degrees C; (ii) classification of the seeds by colour (light and dark) and application of the following treatments: control, immersion of the seeds in H2SO4 (98%, 36N) for 1 and 2 minutes, immersion in KNO3 (5% and 10%) for 15 and 30 minutes and seeding on a substrate moistened with KNO3 (0.2%); (iii) classification by size (0.60, 0.50 and 0.40 mm) and germination on a substrate moistened with KNO3 (0.2%) or distilled H2O. The seeds were evaluated by germination test, first count and germination speed index. Moistening the substrate with KNO3 (0.2%), and heat treatment at 40 degrees C for 10 hours improve performance in seeds of the tall fringe-rush. Light-coloured seeds do not display dormancy. Medium-sized seeds of the tall fringe-rush show better performance in terms of percentage and speed of germination.

A percepção dos alunos sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no Curso de Graduação em Ciências Biológicas

A avaliação educacional pode ser compreendida como um campo da educação e, portanto, marcado por tensões, contradições, interesses, concepções de mundo, de homem, de sociedade e educação. Para alguns estudiosos desta temática, a avaliação transpõe as salas de aulas assumindo também uma posição central na organização e gestão do trabalho pedagógico e de políticas públicas para a educação, além de tornar-se um excelente instrumento de controle dos sujeitos que se encontram na tessitura do processo educativo. Este trabalho intentou traçar algumas percepções sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no Curso de Graduação em Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Campus de Rio Claro, através da ótica dos alunos dos anos finais deste Curso. Nesse sentido, buscou-se desenvolver um estudo qualitativo a partir de entrevistas semiestruturada, objetivando identificar as principais concepções e práticas sobre a avaliação da aprendizagem no curso. Os relatos indicam que a prática avaliativa, na maioria dos casos, vem adquirindo fortemente uma função somativa e classificatória, centralizada na memorização e reprodução de informações, ocorrendo quase sempre de maneira externa ao aluno e focada nos resultados da aprendizagem (produto). Pode-se dizer que a nota tem servido ora para ocultar e manter as relações hierárquicas, ora para selecionar aqueles que vão gozar de um incentivo financeiro para o desenvolvimento de outras experiências acadêmicas, resguardando uma lógica meritocrática e seletiva. De modo geral, a prática avaliativa pouco tem contribuído para a (re)organização do trabalho pedagógico pelo professor e para a superação das dificuldades e incompreensões dos alunos. Necessidades atuais para a educação ambiental: serão possibilidades?

This study had two objectives: to build theoretically the hypothetical landmarks of the environmental crisis and to conjecture new horizons or utopias which can fulfill themselves in the future in search of another being of the man in the world. Therefore, a bibliographic research has been done and, as methodology of analysis, a dialectic critical method has been used to understand the reality in its contradictions and in the totality of the history, through some suggestions, going toward the domain of the state of things which we can verify in the world nowadays. It has been observed that the hypothetical landmarks of the environmental crisis had and have its origins in the Jewish-Christian monotheism, in the exacerbation of the reason as the only way of knowledge and in the process of capitalist accumulation. Therefore, these landmarks, in almost their totality, have historically been built even before the advent of the capitalism. From this point, three suggestions were launched as questions, or so, possibilities, to open a discussion about the construction of another paradigm: Is it necessary another sense of religion? Is it necessary another sense of reason? Is it necessary another sense of sustainable development? Thus, these questions which have been launched, were thought as the current necessities for the environmental education and they implicate in another historical condition to the mankind.
