Ciência da carne: a linguagem gráfica da anatomia humana

This monograph seeks to provide an exposition and theoretical examination of Ciência da Carne (“Science of the Flesh”), a series of artworks in woodcut printing executed after research into the artistic aspects of Human Anatomy, done throughout the Graduate Course in Visual Arts at UNESP’s Art Institute. Traditional procedures of naturalistic representation of the human figure often adopt the scientific basis of Anatomy as a means of interpreting the surface contours of the body from its inside out. The historical connection between Anatomy and Art, however, is not merely accidental, for it is integral to the development of both disciplines, which find themselves deeply related in the human impulse for self-discovery and reinvention of its own likeness. The series of artworks collected in Ciência da Carne explores, through the particular graphical language provided by woodcut printing, abstract arrangements of isolated anatomical elements, at once removed from the context of traditional figurative representation and from the didactic goals of medical illustration.

Análise da flexibilidade e da postura em jovens atletas praticantes de futebol

there is evidence that sport can trigger the onset of postural patterns specific to each modality, regardless of the geopolitical aspects, social, cultural habits of everyday life and ethnicity. Since changes in flexibility are cited as possible precursors of decreased range of motion, thereby harming the mechanics of the lower limbs and gait. Objetcive: The objective of this study was to analyze changes in posture and flexibility in young soccer players. Methods: were assessed 51 youngsters, aged between 14 and 18 years, soccer players registered in the Municipal Presidente Prudente SP and categories of the base of Gremio of Presidente Prudente. Data were collected from the assessment by the postural software assessment, and flexibility tests the Bench, to jail and later by tests of muscle length to jail earlier proposed by Kendall et al , was also collected anthropometric data were later confronted with the results statistically. The results were organized into spreadsheets for computing, which later could be performed the statistical analysis. Values are expressed by means of central tendency and variability as well as medians and 95% confidence intervals. The comparison for each profile height and BMI was made by means of analysis of variance complemented by Tukey test. Were considered the statistical differences when P <0.05. Results: In the sample studied 64% of the subjects classified as normal posture, the same happened with 70.59% of the athletes for flexibility in relation to the center of gravity of the sample had 100% anterior displacement of the trunk and 86.28% with a deviation of center of gravity to the left, showing a tendency to some postural deviations for the group assessed. Conclusion: from the results we can conclude that there was significant relationship between the postural angle of the right leg and left angle of the pelvis with BMI and also ankle angle... Modelagem em 3D de uma patela humana e análise de esforços utilizando o método dos elementos finitos

Throughout the history of medicine surgeons realized the importance of the patella to the functioning of the knee. The main function of the patella is to increase the mechanical efficiency of the quadriceps tendon and knee extensor mechanism. It was found that 50% to 80% of the fractures without deviation of the patella have the transversal pattern, possibly due to excessive tensile forces applied to the extensor mechanism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the loads to which a patella is submitted during a normal extension movement of knee. This analysis will be done by modeling a 3D patella and subsequent load simulation as, described in medical literature, using the finite element method

Educação em direitos humanos: cidadania ou emancipação humana?

This study aims to identify the horizon of emancipation in Human Rights Education, using the philosophy of praxis as a theoretical framework, basing on authors as Tonet, Losurdo, Marx, and Saviani and Duarte, taking as a privileged locus analysis of the Plan National Human Rights Education (PNEDH, 2007). The discussion about the historical development of the movement of the struggles for human rights was a starting point to indicate how, in general, these struggles have been developing since the context of bourgeois revolutions. From there we tried to discuss how the prospect of citizenship has been treated within the Rights Education, the latter being a reflection of social movements' struggles for rights from the year 1980. Situating this movement within a larger movement on the issue of education in Brazil in the twentieth century, we tried to discuss the flags such as citizenship, the strengthening of civil society and creating a culture of rights as a goal of emancipation. Seeking to differentiate between citizenship as political emancipation and human emancipation, was placed the imperative to take the citizenship as a mediator and not as an endpoint in order to equip a culture of struggle for a classless society without exploitation of man by man

A educação corporativa na Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos

O objetivo deste trabalho é abordar a história dos correios, sua educação corporativa, e analisar os artigos científicos que se relacionam à educação e servirão como fundamentação teórica. A metodologia é um estudo bibliográfico; o principal resultado é a análise e abordagem da educação corporativa da empresa em relação à formação das competências dos funcionários da empresa; a conclusão é a de que a empresa, apesar de ser um órgão público e burocrático, teve que se adaptar aos novos paradigmas do mundo do trabalho, investindo em programas de aperfeiçoamento, visando o lucro, mas acima de tudo valorizando o funcionário, por compreender a complexidade humana, com base nos quatro pilares da educação, segundo a UNESCO. Pois é a partir dessa postura de investimento no ensino e nas pessoas que será desencadeado o processo de mudança e propiciará a competitividade com qualidade no mercado global

Dança: biologia e comunicação no processo de socialização humana

A importância da dança e das artes no geral para a espécie humana é evidenciada pela sua marcante presença em todas as sociedades, primitivas ou civilizadas, aparecendo na maioria de suas atividades.A dança faz parte do mundo da comunicação não verbal, expressando, transmitindo muitas informações e apresentando-se com diferentes significados, geralmente associados à comunicação e à interação entre indivíduos. Como movimento ordenado e rítmico,a dança pode ter por base nossas manifestações biológicas, podendo ser considerada como um evento inato e hereditário.Nesse contexto, apresentou-se uma revisão bibliográficaque trata da dança sob uma perspectiva biológica e evolutiva,caracterizando-a nos processos de comunicação e socialização humana. O panorama traçado baseou-se em diferentes áreas de estudo, tentando organizar as ideias e proposições de diferentes autores a respeito deste tema, ainda não tão discutido e nem tão difundido na literatura. Foram consultadas diferentes áreas, em especial a Etologia e a Psicologia Evolucionista, que fazem uma abordagem evolutiva de aspectos da natureza humana.Não foi possível encontrar na literatura uma definição única de dança que a contemplasse da maneira com a qual se gostaria de trabalhar nesta pesquisa.Por isso, foi proposta uma conceituação para as discussões posteriores, tratando a dança sob os seguintes aspectos: comportamento onipresente nos grupos humanos, desde tempos bastante remotos;comportamento significativo para os grupos que a apresentam, sob diferentes aspectos;comportamento que necessita de especialização e desenvolvimento cognitivo para sua realização; comportamento atrelado à sensação de prazer; comportamento que representa um processo de comunicação altamente complexo e especializado; comportamentoritmado, que possa ser tratado num complexo de musicalidade, que envolva a dança... Análise de casos de identificação humana em situações especiais

A utilização de programas computacionais específicos como ferramentas para análise estatística em identificação humana e de vínculos genéticos tem se tornado imprescindível, principalmente em casos de maior complexidade ou em grande escala. A análise de casos em que há genealogia incompleta gera resultados inconclusivos tornado os cálculos estatísticos mais laboriosos, consumindo tempo e pessoal qualificado. Os objetivos desse estudo são: o estudo simulado de casos reais de identificação humana e vínculos genéticos em situações especiais (meios irmãos na ausência dos pais, reconstrução), utilizando programas computacionais livres de cálculos estatísticos como ferramenta; a verificação do melhor programa livre de análise estatística disponível para utilização nos centros públicos brasileiros; e o levantamento estatístico dos casos reais brasileiros (vínculos genéticos, negatória, exclusão) para se obter uma visão da realidade brasileira em relação às suas relações familiares. Os principais métodos foram: análise das informações contidas nas fichas de registro e documentos anexados aos exames de vínculo genético dos participantes; e inserção nos softwares dos resultados de perfis genéticos obtidos de diferentes casos, de acordo com as especificações de uso. A amostra populacional dos casos analisados nesse trabalho incluiu 3.871 indivíduos. Em relação aos casos reais brasileiros, o exame de vínculo genético mais requisitado foi o de paternidade tipo trio; 68% dos casos incluíram o suposto pai como o pai biológico e 27% dos supostos pais estavam registrados na certidão de nascimento do filho e requisitaram o exame de paternidade para confirmá-la. O discurso publicitário em foco: questões sobre dialogismo e gênero do dicurso

The subject of this research is the publicity discourse, in its configuration as speech genres, according to theoretical-methodological perspective in Bakhtinian Studies. Considering that there are infinite fields of human communication, Bakhtin says that there is also infinity of speech genres. However, according to the author, every sphere of human activity produces, and even requires, certain genres, with theirs thematic, compositional and stylistics aspects defined according to social-ideological values that materialize in that sphere and in the dialogue in which the texts are produced. The objective of this research is to study, according to this theoretical-methodological perspective, a print advertising piece by the Brazilian Federal Government, conveyed in the Língua Portuguesa magazine, with themes concerning the national public education. We analyze how the image of author is built and how the image of the Other is outlined by that author. It is assumed that the gender to which an advertising piece belongs intends to sell a product or idea. One of the specific objectives of this research is to identify what is being sold in the advertising piece that we analyze and what discursive and stylistic resources are utilized to achieve success in what it intends to promote. The results show that the author (in the voice of the Federal Government), while adopting the position of information-holder, also puts himself in the same plane of the reader, where everyone is responsible for the development of education in the country. The advertising piece intends to project a positive image of the Government, and this project of saying is realized, in the analysis, in the compositional aspects of the text as well in the stylistic aspects

O ensino da recepção estético-lierária e a formação humana

In this article are defended the possibility and the necessity of the teaching of the reception of art works in school education. Firstly, some relations between art and the development of both the human species and the individual are analysed in Georg Lukács and Lev Vygotsky’s works. In order to put in question the old assumption that opposes education and instruction, the discussion made by Gramsci on the grammatical teaching of Latin and Greek in the traditional school education is explored. In the article is concluded its path analysing the intentional and systematic formation of the reception of art works provided by school education based on Aleksei N. Leontiev’s works on the appropriation process of culture by the individual.
