This study presents different approaches to interdisciplinary management-related concepts. It is still a new area that lacks sufficient theoretical basis for library science and information science. The purpose herein is to ponder and raise the awareness about the transposition and applicability possibilities of the theoretical principles that involve this type of management behavior within Brazilian libraries and information services. It has an outstanding influence as a differential for organizations that adopt a strategic stand to overcome challenges and demands posed by contemporary society.

A importância da gestão da comunicação e da informação nas empresas socialmente responsáveis

This paper studies the communication and information management in the perspective of corporate social responsibility. We assume that a company becomes socially responsible when it’s necessary implementing a communication and information policy able to align their business management processes to social responsibility policies, thus creating the necessary, fundamental synergy to their audiences. We raised the hypothesis that corporate social responsibility, in order to be incorporated on a business process management, necessarily involves a transformation in the form of information management and communication - understood as strategic skills which enable the generation of knowledge creation value and the acquisition of awareness of ethical conduct and company's corporate organizational culture as a mirror, reflected to its internal and external audiences. Therefore, this study was supported by a case study in a retail company in Bauru city, regarded as a socially responsible company. Thus, we proceeded to develop a descriptive-exploratory field research, by using the technique of structured interviews which were conducted with the most representative considered leaders of the company - management, store managers, responsible CSR department and advertising agency

Comunicação organizacional, informação e responsabilidade social: uma nova relação

Study on the Organizational Communication and the information from the perspective of the corporate social responsibility (CSR). Presumes that the CSR to be incorporated into a process of business management involves a transformation in the ways of communication and information management. The objective is to think about the essential function of the communication and information as strategic competences of socially responsible companies, in the knowledge generation, in the value creation and in the incorporation of awareness of ethical conduct and company’s corporate, as reflector of its organizational culture, reflected to its stakeholders.

Entre fadas e alienígenas: desenhos animados televisivos, ética e educação física nos primeiros anos do ensino fundamental

This paper seeks to understand the mediation of cultural products devoted to childhood in the children's play culture. This research focused on a dialogue between the TV cartoons, which are foods to playfulness and fantasy that characterize childhood cultures; the ethics, because the questioning of symbolic mediators (ideas, values, norms, rules) are essential to reflect on the society we want to live, and Physical Education as a curriculum component, shall contribute to the critical mediation of the body culture and the sports arising out from the media, which has close relation with the practical and moral problems that arise in the classroom. To analyze the narrative structures of cartoons we have adopted the comprehensive methodology of Joan Ferrés. Such method suggests a hermeneuticphenomenological approach, which allowed to access Paul Ricoeur’s hermeneutics; as one interpretative method, it allows the reflection on our values, and also the values presented by the audiovisual product, and possible changes. Successive readings indicate that the narrative structure of TV cartoons responds to a double moral standard, which are constructed from stereotyped models between good and evil, right and wrong, villain and hero, and propose universal role models of conduct. However, some cartoons, mostly based on animé productions, have broader visions of the human common living experiences. We concluded that the current symbolic production of childhood cultures proposes one challenge to the Physical Education teacher: the critical mediation of values related to the movement body culture. Along with the support of moral philosophy, it can target his/her practice for understanding the different manners of (re)creation of the ways, and the living in society.

Meios de comunicação social de massa e a agressividade do espectador de futebol

The mass media have a decisive function in formation of opinion and conduct of population. Among those, the television is a vehicle with great power of spread of information. The objective this study is to analyze the influence of media on occurrences regarding the aggressiveness some participants involved in event soccer, while spectators. The subject's attitude is determined by predominant factors, among them the influences of social and cultural way in that lives, as well as, of the education and sporting influences that it affects. The problem of violence in the sport, in the case of soccer, it cannot be addressed for total responsibility of media. However, collaboration is indispensable, for aspect positive and/or negative, depending on the interest in subject. The models of behavior in television could influence the spectator's behavior for a learning process, for example, the use of the language. Therefore, it is indispensable to rethink the roads of television, their ethical conducts and to discuss the philosophical sense of the crisis. Because, to reject the mass media is to deny the reality and social transformations. The extent of the Physical education, above all in the school, is a fundamental space for the teacher to intermediate the meaning of the sport, in this case, the soccer-spectacle, in social context and their relationships with the media, enlarging the process civilization, so much inside as out of field.

As crianças protagonistas dos contos de fadas dos Irmãos Grimm

The origins of the fairy tales are lost in the past but these tales are, even today, great teaching instruments because they relate to language development, creativity, social relations, and especially with the internalization of values and behavior patterns. According to Bettelheim (1980), fairy tales assure the children that the difficulties can be overcome, no matter how insignificant they feel. In this sense, these tales are power tools. We understand that fairy tales - and their characters - have the power to influence their readers/listeners. Therefore, this study considered four fairy tales in which the protagonists are children and remain as children all though the narratives: Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel Snow White and Rose Red and Thumbling, from Grimm Tales, translated into Portuguese by David Jardim Junior and published in 2008 by Itatiaia. We sought investigate how the children characters of these stories act, leveraging a reflection grounded on the image of children that emerge from the selected tales - images that have been registered in the first decades of the nineteenth century by the Brothers Grimm in their Children's and Household Tales - enabling the identification of the kinds of behavior that they perform and the values they embody, thus contributing to a better understanding of the models that these characters offer to the twenty-first century's children. Our research has a qualitative approach of bibliographic nature, mainly grounded in the ideas of Bettelheim (1980) and Ariès (1981). We found that there is a shortage of studies on the tales collected/maintained by the Brothers Grimm, although these stories have become classics of universal children's literature and continue, cradling the imagination of Western children in the twenty-first century. Motivação e personal trainning

Currently, health is one of the issues of concern of society. Health can be understood as a direct link between the practice of regular exercise and quality of life. Within this course of reasoning, comes the role of physical education professional. In this perspective, we have the Personal Trainer. Personal Trainer is the professional who makes exercise prescription, individually, with improvement goals fitness and others. This professional is someone trained in Physical Education and has qualification and training for that function. Thus, the aim of this study is to identify the reasons why the practitioners of physical exercise to train under the supervision of a Personal Trainer. To achieve the above goal was accomplished, a review of major studies on the subject. Thus, this work it is a research bibliography. On the literature review it is evident the professional demand due to a cultural change and, moreover, the need for and accessibility of this professional, the Personal Trainer. In addition, the adhesion of reasons in class Personal Trainer to give the competence of the professional in achieving goals and objectives of the student, respecting the individuality and motivation of each student, reasons that may be intrinsic or extrinsic. Kasabach-Merritt syndrome: clinical vs. surgical treatment

Kassabach-Merritt syndrome is a combination of capillary hemangioma and thrombocytopenia that predisposes to bleeding with petechiae, ecchymosis and spontaneous bruising. Treatment is generally started with corticosteroids, interferon alpha or chemotherapy. We present the case of a child (aged 1 year and 9 months) with a giant hemangioma, from the root of the thigh to the knee, and thrombocytopenia. Treatment was started with corticosteroids, without improvement, and then intra-tumor and cutaneous bleeding appeared spontaneously. The patient’s clinical condition precluded prescription of vincristine and interferon and emergency tumor resection was conducted because of extreme thrombocytopenia and bleeding. The child then began to develop sepsis with hypotension and ischemia of remnant tissues. This case presented a therapeutic challenge, which is the subject of this article.

O seguimento da sífilis congênita em crianças tratadas ao nascer

Purpose: Describe the initial clinical management and therapeutic monitoring dispensed for newborns diagnosed with congenital syphilis at birth and as of the high public hospitals in the Federal District, Brazil. Methods: Collected informations from the initial clinical management and continuity of care accorded to 81 newborns diagnosed with congenital syphilis reported to the National System of Diseases of Notification in 2008. Results: The hemogram occurred in 46.9%, and radiological long bone in 81.4%. Four children (4.9%) followed up according to the protocol of the Ministry of Health in relation to bi-monthly follow- -up until 12 months of age was 93.8% of cases ignored and found no record of complete follow-up at 18 months old of age. Conclusions: The initial clinical management and therapeutic follow-up of newborns with congenital syphilis in the Federal District is not carried out adequately and does not accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.

Pólipos endometriais e seu risco de malignização: aspectos epidemiológicos, clínicos e imunoistoquímicos

Endometrial polyps are neoformations that result from focal hyperplasia of the endometrial basal layer associated with hormonal hyperstimulation. Their pathogenesis is still unclear, and there is no consensus on their natural history, actual relevance as pathologic entities, and relationship with endometrial neoplasia. Endometrial polyps are the most frequent indication of surgical hysteroscopy, but their optimal management remains controversial. Therefore, an overview of this condition may help choosing the most adequate treatment strategies.
