Exigências familiares e do trabalho: um equilíbrio necessário para a saúde de trabalhadores e organizações

This article aims, through a theoretical essay, to promote a reflection about the new roles played by people in families, at work and at the society in general. Based on papers and scientific bibliography, it broaches the changes at the contemporary society, linked to changes on world of work and family relationships, focused on the unbalance at family-work relation. Some current organizational initiatives were cited as plans of prevention and improvement of worker health, which affect their relations. It was considered the need of reconstruction of gender stereotypes and reducing the inequality of opportunity between people as focal points for changing a current scenario, which prevails in the lack of balance between requirements that can generate negative consequences both for health the individual and their families and for the organization.

Análise dos riscos físicos e ergonômicos em roçadora transversal motorizada

According to Statistical Yearbook of Social Security (2011), the number of accidents at work recorded in the agricultural sector is quite high, in the year 2010 there are records of thirty-four thousand nine hundred and ninetysix accidents, and in the year of 2011 there were thirty-one thousand and ninety-six accidents in the industry. Among so many diseases and accidents at work hearing loss is one of them. According to the Pan American Health Organization (2011) the Occupational hearing loss is then jury to the worker's health, often in the workplace. Mechanical vibrations are also present in many human activities exposing employees to an extremely aggressive agent. The combined action of these two factors can cause damage to the health of the worker, in this way, noise and vibration are the two major occupational agents present in the brush cutter operator activity. In the case there is another risk factor, the open work, which exposes the employee to the Sun’s rays and the high temperature indices. Studies have shown that: noise exceeds 115 dB (A) vibration 4.0 m/s2 and thermal stress of 29.9 o C. Ergonomic evaluations also demonstrated that the activity cause injury to workers.

A busca por novas fontes de energia é consequência do aumento da demanda de energia consumida no mundo. Com a instabilidade política dos países detentores das maiores reservas de combustíveis fósseis e a eminência do esgotamento dos recursos naturais surge a preocupação de produzir uma energia mais limpa, desta forma, surgem os estudos com a biomassa, no caso, a cana de açúcar. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo entender as relações do cultivo cana e da produção de etanol, caracterizando seus impactos socioambientais. Além disso, procura demonstrar a manifestação de um dos efeitos negativos gerados na fase agrícola. A prática da queima da cana é muito antiga, porém ainda muito utilizada. Esta gera efeitos diretos na saúde do trabalhador e da população, neste sentido, procuramos saber se a população está ciente desta prática e das suas implicações. Portanto, esta pesquisa justifica-se para colaborar com os estudos ligados a produção de energias mais limpas, para alcançar o desenvolvimento sustentável

Vivências anímicas e percepção subjetiva de qualidade de vida: perspectiva de servidores públicos nos âmbitos da saúde e da educação

This study was qualitative in nature and aimed to investigate the possible interference of spiritual experiences with the subjective perception of quality of life. The perspectives of civil servants in education and health services were compared. The study was developed through bibliographic and exploratory research, and the instrument used for data collection for the exploratory research was the WHOQOL-bref, which was applied in two stages: before and after experiences with spiritual activities. The purposive sample used in this study was composed of civil servants working in health and education administrative sectors of the Brazilian Unified Health System and a State University, respectively, with the intention of broadening the understanding about the perception of quality of life in civil servants from different sectors. The exploratory research of the study was carried out in three stages. The first was a two-phase data collection, before and after experiences with spiritual activities offered to civil servants who worked in the health care field, as well as the analysis of the results of this step. The second stage was the collection of data before and after experiences with spiritual activities offered to civil servants who worked in the administrative sector of education in a public university, besides the analysis of the results of this step. The third stage consisted of a comparison of the results obtained in the preceding two steps. The data resulting from the use of the research instrument for both samples were analyzed via Thematic Content Analysis. A questionnaire containing 26 questions based on four main themes was used. The first two questions were related to perceived quality of life and health satisfaction and they were not part of the specific domains. Recently technological resources have been used to facilitate the execution of several laboral activists. In this project it will be shown a device, which will help workers in healthy area to develop their activities, decreasing the wear of themselves and making the patient transfer to bed more efficient. Furthermore, this work will show a device project to transfer patients with motor restrictions. The focus of this device is to avoid fatigue and injury of workers, which will help the patient to decrease their discomfort and the risk of injury.
