Educação democrática e trabalho associado no contexto político-econômico do movimento dos trabalhadores rurais sem terra

Os objetivos deste trabalho são os de expor os elementos pedagógicos principais presentes nas escolas Construindo o Caminho e Instituto de Educação Josué de Castro, verificar qual a força determinante na organização da proposta educacional do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra e elucidar se essa proposta contém elementos educacionais de interesse para as classes trabalhadoras em geral, do ponto de vista democrático e popular. A investigação revelou que o modo de apropriação do excedente econômico e a luta de classes constituem-se na força determinante na organização da proposta educacional e, também, que as escolas do Movimento, estruturadas e organizadas de forma diferente daquela usualmente encontrada nas escolas oficiais, colocam em epígrafe categorias educacionais como a união do ensino com o trabalho e a gestão democrática compartilhada entre alunos, professores e funcionários.

Contribuição da amplitude de movimento articular do joelho na marcha de crianças com paralisia cerebral espástica

Individuals with spastic cerebral palsy show muscle weakness, difficulties in the control of agonist and antagonist muscles, decreased range of motion and tonus and sensibility alterations, especially in knee joint. These problems can interfere on the performance of functional activities such gait. The aim of this study was to analyze the contribution of knee range of motion on gait of hemiplegic and diplegic children considering their asymmetries. Twelve children, 6 hemiplegics e 6 diplegics from 7 to 12 years of age (age average= 9,5 ± 1,93) took part. Spasticity was assessed by the Ashworth’s Modified Scale and the passive knee range of motion by an eletrogoniometer. The task was to walk on a walkway of 8m long, in their preferred speed, in 6 attempts, been 3 on right and 3 on left sagital planes. Eigth passive markers were bilaterally fixed for the kinematic record. Orthogonally to the walkway, two digital camcorders were assembled on the sagital plane. The fotogrametric procedures were performed by the Dvideow 6.3 software. The Matlab 7.0.1 software was used to filter and to calculate the dependent variables. The U test of Mann- Whitney found differences to the cerebral palsy type for knee extension/hiperextension (U = - 2.943; p= 0.003), knee relative angle at heel contact (U = - 5.992; p= 0.001) and knee range during stride (U = - 4.099; p= 0.001). The Wilcoxon’s test revealed differences according to the asymmetries for the hemiplegics only for the knee relative angle at heel contact (T= - 2.635; p<0.008). Mudanças nos livros didáticos do aluno e do professor: o 1º ano das séries iniciais e o movimento da matemática moderna

Este trabalho visa explorar o ensino da matemática por meio da análise de livros didáticos do aluno e do professor entre as décadas de 1960 e 1980, focando o 1º ano do ensino primário, atual fundamental I. Iniciamos por uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o contexto histórico, desde a introdução do livro na sociedade até a utilização do mesmo para o ensino na área da matemática. A pesquisa tentará retratar brevemente, a história da educação e da educação matemática no Brasil, as diferentes concepções de ensino da época em questão, ou seja, entre as décadas de 1960 e 1980, onde houve o ápice e o declínio do Movimento da Matemática Moderna. Por fim, este trabalho buscará explorar de maneira panorâmica, se ocorreram mudanças nos conteúdos no ensino da matemática por meio da análise de livros didáticos do aluno e do professor no 1º ano das séries iniciais e relatar quais foram essas mudanças. Utilizar-se-á como metodologia a análise de livros didáticos como um objeto pertencente à história cultural, com um enfoque na análise sócio-histórica, na análise formal ou discursiva e, finalmente, interpretação/ reinterpretação.

Indução de morte celular por apoptose decorrente da irradiação com Raios-X: um ensaio com células mamárias humanas tumorais

Apoptosis is a form of programmed cell death selectively removes abnormal cells, and thus contributes to maintaining the balance of the dynamics of cell reproduction. Therefore the verification of the occurrence of apoptotic cell death after a pathological stimulus is crucial for the analysis of the maintenance of normal cell cycle of a given tissue or organ. In this experiment were used cells lines human mammary tumor MDAMB231, T47, MCF7, which were irradiated with X-rays at a dose of 5 Gy in a time interval of 15 seconds, and filtration of 1mm aluminum. Samples containing the cells were grown in a specific culture medium, containing fetal bovine serum and growth factor, and two samples were prepared with each of the cell lines, one to be irradiated, and another that has not been irradiated, which denoted by negative control of the irradiation. The primary goal of the experiment was to verify and compare the rates of apoptosis in each cell lines, in which were irradiated and that were not irradiated, using flow cytometry as a method for detecting apoptotic cell death in together with specific markers annexin V and propidium iodide. Data from the readings made by flow cytometry were analyzed and interpreted using the software WinMDI statistical graph. A aglomeração urbana de Piracicaba: uma análise da integração funcional entre os municípios sob a ótica do movimento pendular

The growth area of cities has resulted in a phenomenon of conurbation (or expressing tendency). This correspond to a combine of two or more urban cores, there are formations of conurbations. In this way, there are the formations of urban concentrations and can achieve the step metropolitan or not metropolitan. Besides, this kind of expansion generates many social and environmental problems related about habitation, rubbish, drain, and others. Piracicaba, a city in expansion, recently, shows evidences of conurbation not metropolitan around itself. Like this, the paulista government, at June, 26 of 2012, institutionalized the Urban Concentration of Piracicaba, a regional unity, intending the administration along with 22 cities. However, for this fact, must be taken into account functional integration among urban centers, because the number of municipalities are presented to compose a urban concentration of level not metropolitan. It has checked along this research, according with proposition about 22 cities. Thus, the objective of this research is identify and analyze the functional integration among participating municipalities through the commuting, in other words, the spatial displacement of people, important factor to be taken into account when defining urban concentration. Considering the displacement routine people, the commuting, also aimed identify the flow of public transport intercity travel among the cities of Piracicaba Regional Unity. Then, analyze the criteria used for establish the Piracicaba Regional Unity, if it was considered technical character or if it was prioritized the political character. To conduct this research, it was done the literature review related to the theme and data collection related lines of intercity transportation and often travel with ARTESP and companies responsible for it service

O movimento Escola Nova e o discurso sobre a autonomia do professor

This research has the objective of identifying the possible influences of the Movement entitled “New School” on discussions of the autonomy of the teacher. Understanding the importance of the Movement in relation to changes of concepts about teaching and the work of the teacher, this study seeks to identify, through bibliographic research, the beginnings of the idea of teacher autonomy in the discussions of “new school” education, especially in reference to the possibility of teachers choosing their work methods. This work will also identify connections between those discussions and more recent discussions about teacher professionalism, which emphasize teacher autonomy. In this sense, it was possible to identify the development of this issue of professional competencies. The study also analyzes the application of the concept of autonomy on Brazilian soil between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century as well as its current use. The research thus explores the concept of Teacher Autonomy in various historical settings

Análise da expressão protéica de moléculas de adesão celular em melanomas cutâneos

Cutaneous melanoma is a malignancy caused by the uncontrolled proliferation of melanocytes. Has been increasing in incidence and mortality over the years. This type of tumor may arise in the skin or any other place where there was migration of neural crest cells. Melanocytes are located in the basal layer of the epidermis forming the epidermal melanin unit, involving a melanocyte to 36 keratinocytes. The proliferation of melanocytes depends on this relationship with the keratinocytes, gap junctions, E-cadherin and desmoglein. The basal membrane is responsible for promoting the integrity of the skin, their adhesion structures shown to be altered in several skin diseases. Some molecules that play the role of adherence in this membrane are the laminins, type IV collagen and type XVII and perlecan. Analysis of protein expression of cell adhesion molecules in melanoma by immunohistochemistry on tissue microarray (TMA). We selected paraffin blocks of patients who were diagnosed with cutaneous melanoma in the period 1995 to 2010, reaching a sample of 124 cases. All these have gone through review of preparation for subsequent histological analysis of tissue microarray (TMA). The protein expression will be analyzed by immunohistochemistry, using markers anti-laminin, anti-collagen type IV and type XVII and anti-perlecan. There was a predominance of female patients, Caucasians and southeastern Brazil. There were frequent in type of extensive superficial ulcers with Breslow depth greater than 4 mm, Clark level IV and mitotic index greater than 6 mitoses per cga. The patients, most of them were female with mean age of 57.13 years and Caucasian. The most frequent histological type was extensive superficial followed by acral lentiginous. Predominated cases very deep, with Breslow thickness greater than 4 mm, Clark IV, ulcerated and on average by 9 cga mitosis, leading to worse prognosis in this sample. Movimento bandeirante e desenvolvimento moral: uma relação possível ?

A Federação de Bandeirantes do Brasil, ou Movimento Bandeirante, é uma instituição de educação não formal criada na Inglaterra, em 1909 por Robert Baden-Powell que chegou ao Brasil em 1919, onde foi expandida por Jerônima Mesquita, sendo adaptada a realidade brasileira. A instituição tem como missão “Ajudar crianças, adolescentes e jovens a desenvolverem seu potencial máximo como responsáveis cidadãos do mundo” (FEDERAÇÃO DE BANDEIRANTES DO BRASIL, 2001, p. 4) através de atividades baseadas na metodologia desenvolvida pelo fundador onde o “aprender fazendo” é base estrutural das mesmas, com regras e valores próprios, além do material didático criado por seus membros voluntários. Nesta perspectiva, este trabalho pretende analisar um dos grandes objetivos gerais, ou Áreas do Programa, que servem como apoio às ações Bandeirantes, com a finalidade de verificar se os princípios e virtudes subjacentes ao Movimento Bandeirante proporcionam a construção da autonomia moral, comparando com o referencial teórico de Jean Piaget e sua teoria do desenvolvimento moral. O estudo será realizado através de uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando como ferramenta a análise de conteúdo. Para tanto será necessário analisar o material bibliográfico da Federação de Bandeirantes do Brasil e textos do fundador do Bandeirantismo e Escotismo, Baden-Powell, para relacioná-los com teóricos de educação moral

Desenvolvimento de equipamento LED para aplicação em cultura celular

O estágio realizado em parceria entre o Departamento de Física e Biofísica do IBB-UNESP e o Hemocentro de Botucatu da FMB-UNESP teve como objetivo desenvolver um novo equipamento de luz LED capaz de interagir com culturas celulares. Desta forma foi desenvolvido um equipamento com luz azul e luz vermelha. A luz azul é responsável por inibir o crescimento celular, a luz vermelha é responsável por aumentar o crescimento celular. O equipamento consiste de uma fonte, e dois conjuntos com três LEDs cada. A cultura celular escolhida foi a de Miemola Murino (NS1), uma linhagem que possui alta taxa de crescimento e que foi mantida em estufa e meio de cultura, (simulando condições normais de sobrevivência), sendo irradiada três vezes ao dia. As amostras foram coletadas e contadas em câmara de Neubauer. Os resultados obtidos, quando comparados com o controle, não apresentaram significativa diferença de crescimento quando irradiados com luz LED vermelho. Porém quando comparados o grupo controle com o grupo irradiado com LED azul, notou-se uma significativa redução da quantidade de células a partir do sétimo dia de irradiação. Acredita-se que a ineficácia dos LEDs vermelhos ocorreram pois utilizamos células com metabolismo bastante elevado, dificultando um aumento ainda maior da taxa de crescimento. A redução da população de células azuis ocorre pois a radiação interage com a membrana celular, causando a quebra dessa membrana e conseqüente morte da célula. Outra via para a morte é a lesão causada no DNA das células, que ocorre quando a luz azul é absorvida pela molécula

O movimento de inclinação lateral associado ao uso de calços na escoliose idiopática

INTRODUCTION: Scoliosis is a three-dimensional deformity and it can be influenced by the use of shoe lifts and lateral inclination in order to correct postural asymmetries. OBJECTIVE: To verify the effect of the use of the shoe lifts (lower and high) unilateral (right and left) during the movement of lateral inclination (right and left) for an evaluation of the postural angles in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. METHODS: A control group with ten participants without scoliosis and an experimental group with 10 participants with idiopathic scoliosis of double curves (thoracic right and lumbar to the left).
