Aiming to investigate in vitro the behavior of esthetic veneers placed in crows and made of the laboratory resins Artglass and Targis when submitted to insertion and removal of circunferential cobalt-chromium clasps, 24 veneer crowns were made (twelve with Artglass (Heraeus Kulzer) and twelve with Targis (Ivoclar Vivadent)), as well as the respective cobalt-chromium clasps. The crowns were then submitted to five thousand cycles of clasps insertion and removal, using a proper device. Using the verification of the force necessary to remove the clasps over the crowns during the experiment, the clasps and crowns mass variation, and the macroscopic inspection of the veneers, one may conclude that the veneers did not show a significant variation of the force required to remove the clasps over the crowns; they show a little amount of abrasion, possible to detect using a visual inspection and they show a little and variable amount of mass loss, less for that made with Artglass (average of 0,002g) and greater for that made with Targis (average of 0,006g)

In the present work it was studied the behavior of four water bath curing cycles of heat activated acrylic resin considered as long duration (I – 65ºC for 30 min;50ºC for 23h and 30min; and 100º C for 1h; II- 50ºC for 24h and the rapid cycle), compared to the known long time curing cycle (9 hours for 72ºC) and short curing cycle (1 h for 65ºC; 30 min to elevate at 100º C and 1:00 to 100º C). Analysis consisted of observations and verification of the residual monomer, weight alterations, dimensional, dimensional lineal, porosity and hardness to determine material performance. The results pointed out that residual monomer presented statistical significant differences in the factor storage and interaction among the factors cycle X storage for weight alteration; statistical significant differences for the factor storage for lineal dimensional alterations, without significant differences for hardness. Porosity was verified in minimum degree in the cycle III and in appreciable amount in the cycle IV

Seleção recorrente é um dos métodos mais eficientes para o melhoramento de espécies alógamas, especialmente quando progênies S1 são utilizadas. Considerando-se que abobrinha geralmente não apresenta perda de vigor pela endogamia, este método pode ser adequado para o melhoramento desta espécie. Neste trabalho foram realizados experimentos com o objetivo de avaliar a eficiência da seleção recorrente em abobrinha 'Piramoita'. Foram realizados três ciclos de seleção recorrente a partir da cultivar Piramoita (população P0), com avaliação e seleção de progênies S1. Novas populações foram obtidas com a recombinação de plantas das progênies selecionadas, utilizando-se sementes remanescentes. No primeiro ciclo foram avaliadas 74 progênies e selecionadas 14, no segundo foram avaliadas 60 e selecionadas 10 progênies e no terceiro ciclo foram avaliadas 77 e selecionadas 12 progênies. Foram obtidas populações melhoradas após um (PI), dois (PII) e três (PIII) ciclos de seleção recorrente. Quatro populações (P0, PI, PII e PIII) foram avaliadas em um delineamento em blocos ao acaso, com oito repetições e cinco plantas por parcela. Em todos os experimentos foram avaliadas as seguintes características: número de frutos total e comercial por planta, % de frutos comerciais, produção, em massa, de frutos total e comercial por planta e a massa média de fruto comercial. Foram observados aumentos de produção lineares significativos ao longo dos ciclos de seleção. Para número de frutos total e comercial e produção, em massa, total e comercial foram obtidos aumentos com a população PIII, comparativamente a população inicial, de 32, 63, 24 e 57%, respectivamente. A massa média de fruto comercial não foi afetada pela seleção recorrente. Conclui-se que a seleção recorrente foi eficiente para melhorar a abobrinha 'Piramoita'... A wedge facies cycle it‟s a body of sedimentary rock, bounded above and below by unconformity and which represents a transgressive-regressive cycle of deposition. This cycle is formed by the following succession of facies: non-marine (N), transitional-coarse texture, and marine-fine texture; The objective of this study have been members of the sandstones and Triumph Siderópolis, seconded by rare calcareous sandstones and very thin limb Paraguaçu. Through analysis of facies in wells testified by CPRM, it was possible to group on facies successions and set the standard stacking. The Triunfo Member consists of three cycles of facies, lithology whose standard indicates a vertical arrangement ''type'' tuning up, other words, a component sandy bottom in the form of '' box'', followed by components sandy-clayey and clayey-carbonaceous (1st and 2nd cycle) and / or shale and limestone (3rd cycle), represented by the base member Paraguaçu. The first cycle only occurs on NF-5 wells and NF-6 in the form of Onlap channel dug in post-Itararé group. The cycle II also reaches wells NF-4 and NF-3 to the north, while the cycle III reaches the southern area, well NF-9. The member Paraguaçu, well PP-25 is predominantly clay-síltico, also stand out limestones and sandstones. The limestones are not coastal marine organisms probably connected with the algae and cyanobacteria, the sandstones are fine-textured, very thin and coastal deposition environment. The member Siderópolis, well NF-2 consists of a sandstone fluvial-estuarine deployed in the valley section, and succeeded by sandstones and siltstones bioturbed, they have linked the transgression of the Fm. The lubricant oil used in engines of internal combustion must be, periodically, changed. Its mainly function in the engines is to reduce the friction between the pieces, but its presence also promotes the cleanness and the refrigeration of the equipment. These attributions, at the end of some cycles of operation, make the oil to be dirty, that is, full of contaminating substances such as water, gasoline, diesel, additives, oxidized hydro-carbons and rests of metals, not being recommended, therefore, its discarding in the environment. Thus, all the used lubricant oil that leaves the automobiles engine has been thrust, waiting for a solution. The pollution generated by the discarding of a ton of used oil per day in the soil or in the rivers is equivalent to a domestic sewer of 40 thousand of people. The indiscriminate burning of the used lubricant oil generates significant emissions of metallic oxides, besides other toxic gases, like the dioxin and sulphur oxides. In this context, the mean objective of this essay was to effectuate the rerrefine of the used lubricant oil, aiming the increase of its life cycle and consequently contributing for the reduction of the environmental pollution. According to the used process, it was possible to get a rerrefine oil, of good quality, which physicistchemistries properties are in compliance with the norms of NBR and ASTM

The study of movements of ideals fluids is more simple that the viscous fluids because do not have the presence of tension of shear. The normal tensions are the one that must be considered in this analysis. The theory corresponding to these flows is the same used in other fields of the physics called Theory of Potentials Fields, which the vector identity is fundamental. Any flow into irrotational (null vorticity) physically possibly has a current function and a potential of velocity that satisfied the equation of Laplace. Reciprocally, any solution of equation of Laplace represents a current function or a potential of velocity of a flow into physically possible. Once the equation of Laplace is linear, the addiction of any numbers of solutions is also a solution. So, several potentials flows into can be constructed superposing configurations of elementary flows into. The purpose of the superposition of elementary flows into is a production of similar configurations to those of practical interest. The combination of mathematical elegancy with utility in the potential flow into attracted many for its study.
