Atualmente observa-se uma diminuição no consumo de verduras entre os brasileiros, especialmente na região norte e nordeste do país, entre jovens e aos estratos sociais de baixa escolaridade. Entretanto, o consumo de verduras forma a base de excelência para uma alimentação saudável além de ser indispensável no dia-a-dia. Dentre as verduras de destaque encontram-se a couve-manteiga e o almeirão, que são verduras baratas, amplamente disponíveis no país e que contam com a presença de diferentes tipos de antioxidantes. Antioxidantes são compostos bioativos que possuem múltiplas propriedades, mas que se destacam pelo seu potencial de óxido-redução e por sua capacidade de competir por sítios ativos e receptores de estruturas celulares. Esses mecanismos estão descritos como sendo moduladores da resposta inflamatória, além de serem preventivos de várias condições e doenças. Incluem-se nessa classe os compostos fenólicos, que são produtos do metabolismo secundário dos vegetais e têm sua atividade devido a interação com espécies radicalares, tendo como um dos seus principais componentes os flavonoides, que são metabólitos secundários da classe dos polifenois, tendo seu consumo relacionado a diminuição do risco de doenças coronarianas e alguns tipos de câncer. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de quatro diferentes processos de cozimento (microondas, cozimento a vapor, cozimento em água fervente e fritura a óleo), em duas verduras de grande consumo no Brasil, em relação as quantidades de ácido ascórbico, acidez, compostos fenólicos totais, flavonoides totais e atividade sequestrante de radicais livres e verificar qual melhor método de cozimento que mantenha esses compostos. Currently there are numerous social projects scattered through out the country, including the sport, for the most part, aimed at children and teens considered at social vulnerability. These projects end up having as main guiding sports, these in turn take several purposes, among them, the sport recreation/socialization and professionalization of sport, which often end up being worked disassociated from one of another, forgetting that, in the same place, these different purposes can live therefore are the subjects that give meaning to their practice. In this sense, this research sought to understand the meanings that the participants in a social sports project water polo attribute to the practice. This project happens in a provincial city of São Paulo, serving about 2.300 children and teens and has as main objectives the social inclusion and training of high-performance athlete. The research, qualitative approach was characterized by an exploratory study and used the interview as collection technique. The study included 40 children and adolescents attending the project, as well as two social workers and two physical education teachers that working on the project. The results showed that there is a convergence between participants, teachers and social workers regarding their expectations regarding the project, but we identified another bias that goes against the practice of leisure, in showing that in the same place if can find to the two purposes of the sport, even this

As Ciências Sociais foram constituídas no bojo do processo de conquista colonial da Europa sobre a África no século XIX, isto fez com que muitas reflexões, conceitos, teorias, metodologias fossem inspiradas neste contexto social que vinculou homens de diferentes realidades históricas de maneira antagônica. Este artigo faz uma abordagem analítica e interpretativa deste período de nascedouro das Ciências Sociais e da literatura oitocentista sobre a África e os africanos.

This paper aims to show the beginning of habitus and the bodily hexis construction of male ballet dancer and female player soccer. Firstly, the habitus and the bodily hexis are established by the cultural inheritance of families (advices, likes, choices, prohibitions, and work divisions). After, they are restructured by the most diverse fields where this people act, mainly in the school, specifically at Physical Education classes (in the specialized places where these classes occur). Thus, it is possible to verify the success or the failure of their path lives and the possibility of a social ascent by the choice of these practices as professional career.

Within a broader study of the apparatus governing the establishment of word classes in grammatical tradition, this study is centered on examining the treatment of the (sub)class of pronouns in two grammar guide groups from different periods. The collation was especially oriented by the existing general notion of a very strong link of the first grammarians with logic and, as a counterpart, of an insertion of the most recent works in the universe of a linguistic science and, at the same time, in the universe of a parameterization limiting actions and decisions.

O objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar as representações sociais de professores sobre indisciplina em sala de aula. Adotamos a teoria das Representações Sociais como referencial teórico. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas. Os participantes foram três professores do ensino técnico, três do ensino médio e três de ambos os ensinos, totalizando nove docentes de uma Escola Técnica Estadual (ETEC) do interior paulista, pertencente ao Centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza. Utilizando a análise de conteúdo, definimos três eixos temáticos: causas atribuídas à indisciplina, alternativas para lidar com a questão e concepção de indisciplina, para os quais caracterizamos categorias, em que obtivemos a frequência de respostas. Na análise dos resultados, podemos indicar que a representação social da indisciplina parece estar objetivada, principalmente, nas questões individuais dos alunos. Os professores relataram diferentes causas da indisciplina para os ensinos médio e técnico. Foram indicadas algumas diferenças na maneira de lidar com o aluno adolescente e adulto e entre as causas e as alternativas para lidar com a indisciplina. As representações sociais dos professores sobre a indisciplina ancoraram-se, em sua maioria, num referencial tradicional, associado à responsabilização do aluno e da família.

The objective of this paper is to present the relationship between higher education with other levels of education. In Brazil, some challenges were launched to fulfill improvement in teaching / learning covering a scientific development with the involvement of several bodies, among them the science and society. Therefore, according to the National Postgraduate-PNPG, the close relationship between science and society requires a scientific-cultural training that should start in higher education, teacher training, and that this knowledge can follow the company, traversing all levels of education prior to higher education. Thus, we analyze the formation of teachers as one of the pillars of our discussion, trying to understand that at different times, men have paid attention to the re/organization of society, to masters/teachers have the knowledge that enabled individuals to convey an apprenticeship favoring the theoretical reflection on practice. So, we have considered some classics, as Bonaventure of Bagnoregio, that dealt on the training of teachers (as) in different periods, expressing concern about the quality of teaching and documents dealing with the situation of education in Brazil

O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso propõe a discussão sobre o processo de construção da identidade do idoso levando em consideração as representações sociais veiculadas pela mídia e as expectativas e sentimentos dos idosos. A pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar as representações sociais sobre a terceira idade que circulam nos variados meios de comunicação; analisar as representações sociais sobre o idoso, os estereótipos, tanto os antigos (onde o idoso era considerado apenas um peso para as famílias) como os novos (o idoso atleta e descolado que busca a eterna juventude); compreender o significado do conceito de 'terceira idade' e o significado que essa expressão tenta ocultar; compreender os mecanismos de inclusão e exclusão do idoso nas ações da sociedade cível e pública; entender o quanto a convivência entre diferentes origens e diferentes gerações pode ser benéfico pra ambos os lados usando como base minha experiência no PEJA, assim como a busca do ideal do ser idoso, o idoso real, humano, referência de experiência, que ensina e também aprende, respeitado como pessoa sem mais ser considerado como apenas um número de estatística. A pesquisa também contará com uma revisão bibliográfica sobre os processos de construção identitária, representações sociais, influência dos meios de comunicação e terceira idade, com ênfase nas representações expressas na publicidade

The entering at the University requires new social skills and their deficits may bring to students academic and interpersonal diffi culties. Few studies have addressed the infl uence of undergraduate periods and gender diff erences regarding social skills shown by college students, including frequency and quality which they occur and previous and consequent interaction variables. The main objective of this article is to describe the social skills shown by college students over undergraduate years. For specifi c objectives this study intends (a) the comparison of student groups in diff erent years (fi rst/second; fi rst/third; second/third) of full-time and nocturne periods, of men and women and (b) the presentation of functional analysis of interactions, considering the most frequent behaviors and contexts. For that, 85 students of Design course were analyzed through the following instruments: the Social Skills Questionnaire to College Students, Behaviors and Contexts; and the Social Skills Inventory (SSI). The results indicate diff erences between men and women and between full-time students and nocturne ones, and the greatest diff erences were in comparison between years, indicating that the fi rst and second years require greater investments in interventions, because they present greater diffi culties in communication behaviors, expressiveness and confl ict resolution. Furthermore, implications, limitations and suggestions for research are discussed.

This paper relates some considerations resulting from a thesis study in Biological Sciences held at Universidade Estadual Paulista - Unesp, Bauru Campus. Considering the perceptual act endowed with simultaneous actions of the cognitive apparatus and the individual's life history as the merleau-pontyana phenmomenon tells us, the work aimed to identify how boys and girls in elementary school realize a natural savanna. The study was realized with the extension project "Walking and learning at the cerrado” in the Center for Memory and Dissemination of Science and Technology (CDMCT) of Postgraduate Education for Science in the same institution. Classes were held in these practical activities, monitored by undergraduate and graduate students, and, the project focuses on students from public and private schools in Bauru and region, and other visiting groups. Data collection was performed using the representations in the form of free drawings of students of their environment after the activity. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the results allowed us to highlight differences in the way in which genders perceived and thus represented the fragment of cerrado vegetation. The male drawings contained a larger amount of non-living elements, whereas the representations by women, besides their botanical details, often drew on animals and people. The framework of the drawings by the boys took the nearest way, whereas by the girls more often considered the representations and the entire context of the site visited. So, we emphasize the need for further discussions within the perception of the environment to consider differences in the representations of boys and girls within the context of the teaching of natural sciences, seeking, however, to avoid unsubstantiated preconceptions that may cause any degree of discrimination.

One tool that has been in evidence, especially among young people, is Facebook. It can be classified as a synchronous communication tool that allows communities of people with similar interests to discuss and exchange experiences in real time, promoting the sharing of information and the creation of collective knowledge, even if they being in different parts of the globe. In this paper we show that Facebook can be used as an educational tool to aid the work done in the classroom and the impact of creating closed groups in online social networking for educational purposes. The survey was conducted with a group of students at a private school in Bauru/SP. We investigated the interaction profile of students with a closed group created on Facebook and through a questionnaire analyzed whether students use virtual environments for personal or educational. The survey reveals students perceptions about relevant aspects and the potential use of this tool as teaching-learning strategy
