A trajetória do projeto Teletandem Brasil: da modalidade institucional não-integrada à institucional integrada

The purpose of this paper is to present the road taken by the Teletandem Brasil Project (Telles, 2006) and describe the modifications that have occurred in relation to the implementation of teletandem activities, which implies changes from a non-integrated modality to an integrated one (Brammerts, 1996). In order to do so, a characterization of the initial context assumed by the project is presented – non-integrated institutional teletandem - in contrast with the new environment fostered by a partnership between UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista) and UGA (University of Georgia). This new partnership has allowed the inclusion of teletandem into the foreign language syllabus, characterizing the institutional integrated teletandem. We also show the activities derived from this new modality.

A trajetória das alterações semânticas nas línguas e os seus reflexos no campo do ensino de língua estrangeira e da tradução

The purpose of this study is to reflect on some formally similar lexical units belonging to different foreign languages that although having had the same origin, their meanings today are considerably different from their original meanings. This complex process is understood, however, when a diachronic path of these lexical units is established in order to find justification or probable occurrences for the causes that triggered the semantic changes observed. These reflections aim to foster discussion about the consequences of such changes in the emergence of the so-called “false cognates”.

A Geografia brasileira ainda carece de sua história. Nos anos mais recentes, numerosos artigos têm aparecido, tentando recuperar essa falha, mas nota-se, ainda, a falta de um documento mais abrangente, que recupere os momentos fundamentais, os acertos e os erros, os avanços e as crises no progresso do conhecimento geográfico desenvolvido entre nós. E a lacuna se faz sentir, também, em termos de informações precisas sobre pesquisas, eventos, trabalhos publicados e teses defendidas, sem as quais não se pode reconstruir, de forma segura, a trajetória da Geografia brasileira. Trajetória social de alunos de um curso pré-vestibular popular

The aim of the research that originated this article was the analysis of the social trajectory of students from a public preparatory course and the verification of their expectations about higher education. Data collection was based on a questionnaire with open and closed-ended questions and a semi-structured interview, based on the models used by Muzzetti (1997). Data were analyzed by the elaboration of thematic charts. Based on the researches conducted by Pierre Bourdieu (1997, 2007), this research concluded that the students understand that schooling is, besides being a viable alternative in the search for social ascension, the redeeming of social ills. Profession choice based on natural talent or divine gift generate expectations which attest the lack of knowledge about the school system by students and their parents, which is reinforced by the belief in opportunity equality.

As Ciências Sociais no Brasil: trajetória, história e institucionalização

A trajetória do pensamento social no Brasil remonta à segunda metade do século XIX e envolve muitas correntes, linhagens e famílias intelectuais que enformam as Ciências Sociais no Brasil. Por isso, há controvérsias quanto à fundação das Ciências Sociais, considerada, de um lado, por meio da trajetória histórica, e, de outro, pela institucionalização do trabalho científico. O debate ganha complexidade quando são considerados os marcos fundadores, as características, o significado e as implicações dessa institucionalização que, longe de esclarecer a questão, cria novos problemas para o entendimento e avaliação do processo. Rediscutir as circunstâncias histórico-sociais e as configurações intelectuais de sua fundação e desenvolvimento, entendemos ser pertinente e necessário, sendo esse o propósito deste artigo.

A trajetória política e histórico-normativa do ensino técnico da área de agropecuária no Estado de São Paulo: a história política de transição por decretos de 1882 a 2001

This article presents the historical trajectory of agricultural technical education in the State of São Paulo, 1882-2001, with emphasis on regulatory and policy aspects of transition management agencies and disruption in the construction and consolidation of a pedagogical and curricular design of this area of teaching technical and institutional policies of these technical schools.
