Sustainability is the ability of human beings interact with the world, preserving the environment to not compromise the natural resources of future generations. This is the main goal of Green Chemistry, which is based on twelve basic principles. One of its branches, the Green Analytical Chemistry, apply these principles in their techniques, such as Green Chromatography. From a theoretical foundation favorable to industrial policies, this paper intends to show the main policies followed by Ireland since the 1950s, with a special emphasis on those directed to Science, Technology and Innovation (S,T&I), FDI and high tech sectors, like software and biotechnology. We compare these policies with those used in Brazil, in a similar period, in order to have some hints for virtual transformations of current Brazilian policies. We conclude that the compromise of the State with the direction of the development and the continu-ity of industrial policies is very important to a solid building of comparative advantages in technologically dynamic sectors.

Inclusão escolar com apoio: uma análise do serviço do ensino itinerante

We investigated the process of inclusion in the school common areas, tracking the performance of a traveling school teacher (teaching support service specialist), type of service in Special Education, as a support to the school's educational proposal. Objectives: To identify, describe and analyze the performance of itinerant school teacher in a school of mainstream school, with students and their teachers, to analyze the perception of two teachers of the common teaching about the process of integration of pupils with special educational needs in their classes; examine the roles and responsibilities of itinerant school teacher through an exploratory qualitative approach. Participants: an itinerant school teacher, two teachers and two of the common teaching students with special educational needs included in mainstream school. Observations were made weekly at the school over a period of six months, semi-structured interviews with teachers and document analysis. The results showed different facets of roaming at the intersection with the common teaching among them may be noted that acts as a parallel system in the common school, creating a gap between them which may compromise or disadvantage of the dynamic performance of service support, but this gap is overcome at critical times facing the mainstream school, where this service benefit the child's learning process and promotes their inclusive education policy.

Hidden caries: a critical review

Hidden caries is a type of lesion visualized in dentin, mainly by means of bitewing radiographs, in which, clinically, the occlusal enamel appears healthy or minimally demineralized and radiographically presents progressive demineralization in dentin, which may progress and compromise the pulp-dentin complex. Although the etiology of hidden caries is unknown, many theories have been studied, including structural and anatomical defects of enamel, their specific microbiota and the use of fluoride, which is most accepted theory. Considering the clinical concern, since these lesions have a silent progression and often are not detected on routine clinical examinations, this study aims to conduct a critical discussion of the etiology, prevalence, diagnostic methods and treatment decision for lesions of hidden caries, alerting professionals about the importance of routine use of bitewing radiographs even in patients considered “cariesfree” or low risk of caries, for more effective diagnosis.

Strategic planning for dairy cattle: SWOT analysis applied to a property of a farmers' association in Dracena, São Paulo state, Brazil

The sector of milk production in Brazil is very heterogeneous (high-tech in large scale X family properties). This study aimed to develop a diagnostic as a basis for a strategic plan to face the challenges inherent in operating a dairy farm in property of a farmers' association in Dracena, São Paulo, Brazil. It was observed that the association needs a more efficient guidance in the marketing, production and finance areas, not to compromise the search for new markets and continued growth in activity.
