Through a detailed study of each component, the structural part and various technologies for highway weighing scales, a project was developed in order to implement a modern system of axle weighing in a company pursuing to expand its cargo door capacity, which was restricted to weighing and inspection of the maximum load of each vehicle, and especially to extinguish the number of notifications that the company has been suffering, by having their transportation logistics vehicles caught traveling with poorly distributed load per axle, what it caused damage to roads and vehicles and denigrated the company image in terms of marketing. To achieve these results, the project went through a study of all relevant national legislation, seeking to put the company always in agreement. Moreover, it had investments and its physical space available for its implementation. The payback of such investments would be about less than three years

A internacionalização da indústria de software: uma avaliação das atividades desenvolvidas offshoring

A indústria de software se destaca por sua transversalidade em diversas cadeias produtivas. Também é de importante relevância para o desenvolvimento de um parque industrial consolidado, uma vez que, apresenta-se como peça chave no desenvolvimento das atividades ligadas a micro-eletrônica. Todavia, é um produto que possui características diferenciadas dos demais produtos manufaturados. Ou seja, é formado por uma seqüência de conhecimentos lógicos que delimitam quais são as funções que o produto irá desempenhar, tal formação concede um caráter de imaterialidade a este. O caráter imaterial e a dificuldade de mensurar o real valor agregado do software, devido a sua transversalidade, instigam a curiosidade para investigar os reais benefícios que o setor pode gerar para a estrutura produtiva de um determinado país. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar as grandes empresas de software e principalmente analisar os tipos de atividades que são desenvolvidas mundialmente por estas. Procura também analisar as atividades offshoring, isto é, aquelas que são realizadas por empresas multinacionais em outros países levando em conta a sua estratégia global. Busca também dar uma ênfase nas atividades realizadas no Brasil, com isto procura mapear o papel dos países em desenvolvimento nestas atividades. A metodologia será desenvolvida a partir de coleta do material bibliográfico, com dois propósitos distintos: entender os tipos de atividades do setor, dinâmica concorrencial, etapas do processo produtivo, evolução histórica e mercado; e também um estudo do processo de internacionalização, focando o fenômeno de offshoring e as estratégias competitivas das empresas do setor. O acompanhamento dos relatórios anuais das empresas da amostra e de notícias veiculadas em periódicos especializados levará a elaboração de “Dossiês Corporativos”... Indústria automobilística brasileira entre os anos 90 e os 2000: uma análise acerca da estratégia de plataformas

Este trabalho faz um estudo comparativo sobre a estratégia de plataformas na indústria automobilística brasileira entre os anos 90 e 2000. Para tanto, definiu-se o conceito de plataformas na indústria automobilística, a intensificação dos estudos sobre sua eficiência ao longo do tempo e o impacto da reutilização e adaptação de plataformas na redução de custos. Os resultados do estudo colaboraram no entendimento dos projetos de desenvolvimento de produto na indústria automotiva nacional, colaborando para a comparação entre a evolução do cenário brasileiro com a de outros cenários como Reino Unido e os BRICs

A indústria cultural brasileira: crescimento e influências

Este presente trabalho relata primeiramente o nascimento e desenvolvimento da indústria cultural brasileira em seu sentido integral, priorizando seu lado econômico, que se deu basicamente em 1930 com tentativas não tão bem sucedidas, mas que em 1960, com ajuda do governo militar (por interesses claros), se destacou e cresceu grandemente. Da mesma forma, pretendeu abordar aspectos que envolvem o amadurecimento e a estabilização deste mercado de bens no Brasil, de forma a descrever a situação atual, do século XXI, das firmas e empresas que integram esta cadeia que acaba por representar a cultura brasileira, principalmente na análise da qualidade de cada mercado de bens culturais inseridos dentro deste ramo da economia brasileira. Assim sendo, devido à complexidade e a profundidade do tema, esta monografia atreveu-se também a expor situações e fatos que levem o leitor à reflexão das influências que esta indústria causa na própria cultura brasileira, sendo capaz de modificar todo um cenário social, político ou econômico

Cogeração em uma indústria automobilística

The search for energy efficiency improvement is a common concern in many companies. Cogeneration is a well known technique but not so spread in Brazil, despite its potential for energy costs reduction through heat recovery from prime movers. In this work, a preliminary technical and economic study is carried out for a cogeneration plant application in an automotive industry of São Paulo. Though mathematics modeling, three 2435 kW internal combustion engines are selected. When compared to the current status (no cogeneration), annual savings of about 2,2 MR$ are obtained, resulting a almost 3 years payback

Avaliação da auto-suficiência energética em reatores anaeróbios aplicados ao tratamento de resíduos da indústria de produção do etanol

Ethanol, the main automotive biofuel, has its production based on the fermentation of sugars found in biological materials and on the distillation of the alcoholic media formed during the fermentative process. Stillage is the main residue from ethanol production, containing a high organic loading in addition to acidic and corrosive characteristics. Considering the available technologies to treat stillage, we highlight anaerobic digestion, which allows the reduction of the impacts associated to pollutants loading of this effluent and the generation of energy from the methane gas produced in the process. Based on the high treatment efficiency usually associated to the anaerobic process, this work aimed to assess whether anaerobic systems applied to the treatment of stillage are energetically self-sufficient. First we evaluated the energy recovery capacity in an anaerobic reactor applied to the treatment of stillage resulting from corn-to-ethanol processing. The results indicated the great influence that a correct selection of electrical equipment and their respective operating periods have on the net energy balance of the anaerobic treatment. The high energy consumption of the heater would not allow the system to achieve a positive net energy balance – the maximum energy recovery would reach only 0.68% of the consumption. However, the replacement of the mixture equipment would result in energy gains ranging from 8.5 to 967.9% of the consumption. In this work we also assessed the efficiency of methane yields for a few studies and the correlation between some parameters of the anaerobic process. With respect to the methane yield, we noted that mesophilic systems tend to be more advantageous than the thermophilic ones (efficiency of 76.45 ± 22.51% vs. 69.40 ± 30.36%). Considering the study... Aplicação dos conceitos de RCM e a ferramenta FMEA no aumento de confiabilidade em equipamentos de uma indústria química

The growing demand for quality at competitive prices and fast production process put to the test function in the industrial Maintenance. The need for equipment with high availability to fit this fierce competitiveness makes maintenance becomes essentially reliable. Despite this current context, many companies still have an old view of maintenance, focused only on corrective services, and proposals for change are often neglected due to the sense of urgency day to day. Thus, this study aims to demonstrate through theoretical applicability of simple tool, but of great value in increasing reliability within the maintenance sector of an industry, applying the concepts of Reliability Centered Maintenance – RCM and Analysis tool Failure Modes and Effects – FMEA in equipment of a chemical company directly involved in the manufacturing process of the brake fluid, which this product is used in vehicles around the country. That way, you can identify the types, occurrence and criticality of each failure and evaluate assertively decision making for each device, avoiding unnecessary downtime and potential failures of the same

Previsão de vendas para uma indústria de equipamentos pesados: seleção de técnicas e análise

The continuous advance of the Brazilian economy and increased competition in the heavy equipment market, increasingly point to the need for accurate sales forecasting processes, which allow an optimized strategic planning and therefore better overall results. In this manner, we found that the sales forecasting process deserves to be studied and understood, since it has a key role in corporate strategic planning. Accurate forecasting methods enable direction of companies to circumvent the management difficulties and the variations of finished goods inventory, which make companies more competitive. By analyzing the stages of the sales forecasting it was possible to observe that this process is methodical, bureaucratic and demands a lot of training for their managers and professionals. In this paper we applied the modeling method and the selecting process which has been done for Armstrong to select the most appropriate technique for two products of a heavy equipment industry and it has been through this method that the triple exponential smoothing technique has been chosen for both products. The results obtained by prediction with the triple exponential smoothing technique were better than forecasts prepared by the industry experts

Análise do gerenciamento de projetos de produtos na área de desenvolvimento de motores em uma indústria automotiva

L'un des facteurs nécessaires pour qu’une entreprise reste compétitive sur le marché est la création ou l'amélioration d'un produit afin qu’il réponde aux besoins et aux attentes des clients, ainsi, le Processus de Développement de Produits (PDP) est essentiel. Pour la réussite du PDP, il est souhaitable de suivre un système standard de gestion de projet. L'objectif de cette étude est d'analyser la gestion de projets dans le processus de développement de produits dans l'industrie automobile afin d'identifier les possibilités d’amélioration. Par conséquent, nous avons procédé à une revue de littérature sur le sujet, analysé les lignes directrices et les pratiques du processus de développement de produit dans l’entreprise. Comme résultat, il a été obtenu que le système de développement de produits créé par l’entreprise requiert la clarification des outils utiles à la gestion de projet. Proposta de aproveitamento de resíduos de uma indústria moveleira para produção de chapas de revestimento decorativo

Industrial activity is growing at an increasingly rapid accelerated bringing impacts not very consistent with the preservation of the environment, since it uses its resources to meet its countless demands, making the sources begin to become increasingly scarce. Therefore, this paper proposes the use of waste a furniture industry for the production of panels for the interior decoration. Were used to manufacture them, two different types of materials, where such, the Kraft paper is more efficient for the underpinnings of these panels. Regarding the type of glue used, the contact yielded better results. The initial conditions for the development of such a proposal were based on existing laws for solid waste as well as proposals for environmental agencies

The constant search for improvements and the survival of organizations makes the strategic guidelines are deployed and executed at the operational levels. This work is the approach to critical analysis of the equipment of a chemical industry through a case study based on the classification of each equipment manufactures through qualitative and quantitative analysis on the pillars of maintenance costs, loss of production, MTBF, contribution margin, Health Safety and Environment (SHE). From this study and future data collection, along with the flow diagram show the main equipment that should be special attention. To this can be prepared an action plan with deadlines and responsible. With the results one can measure the maintenance costs, loss of production and technical availability of the plant, with future gains
