Laboratory of Chemical Waste Management programs are being implemented in various universities of the country and the world, in recognition of the urgent need to change the reality of disregard for the environment, together with objective responsibility of the generator, and especially the awareness of sustainability. Analysis and research laboratories involve a range of waste in developing their studies with intrinsic characteristics related to their form of generation. The amount of waste generated in this segment is negligible compared to industrial activities, but the environmental issue is that these residues do not have a standard technique for treatment due to the potential variation of its composition. This research project, aiming their suitability and continuous improvement, aims to diagnose and analyze the current situation of the management and disposal of chemical waste generated by the laboratories IGCE UNESP, Campus Rio Claro / SP. Universities, through their research, teaching and extension, end up generating potentially hazardous chemicals that may contaminate the environment when they are disposed of improperly, with no concern for the environment and / or public health. Aiming to assist in improvements with respect to this issue, the purpose of this study is to understand the management and disposal of chemical waste from the IGCE, laboratories UNESP - Rio Claro / SP, in order to discuss the situation of such waste, and present proposals to reduce generation of the same and minimizing the environmental impact, thereby increasing the local hygiene through proper disposal. Health Care Waste (HCW) represents 1%, and it has presently gained a lot of importance. Adequate management is one of the great challenges to be faced by health care centers. It has gained distinction and been widely discussed by members of the sectors involved with sanitation, public health and environmental issues due to waste physical, chemical biological characteristics, which pose potential risk to the environment and public health. The present study aims at evaluating HCW internal management by following all its phases, determining indicators, classifying and quantifying, establishing production rates (kg /patient/day) for the sector and designing materials to disseminate appropriate HCW disposal in the Emergency Room of the UNESP University Hospital in the city of Botucatu according to the guidelines presently in force. : From June to October 2011, the waste flow was observed from its production to final disposal. Four weight measurements were performed on four consecutive days in the month of August by using a properly calibrated (in grams) digital scale at the times scheduled for collection of the produced waste. Hence, the daily and monthly amounts were estimated according to their classification. All the waste packaged in the bags in garbage cans in the Emergency Room for a 24-hour period was considered to be a sample. Separation was not adequately performed in that sector, and waste from Group A was mixed with that from Group D. The amount of infectious waste produced in the sector corresponded to 87.80 %, common waste to 10.93 % and recyclable waste to 1.27%. The mean daily HCW production was of 123.300 kg/day, and the total monthly production was of 3,822 kg/month, which was distributed as follows: Group A 3,355,750 kg/month; Group D 417,570 kg/month and recyclables 48,670 kg/month. Considering the growing degradation of the urban environmental quality resulting from the progressive sound pollution increase, as well as the consequent harmful effects about the human health, the present study had its central objective the argument and management tools implementation of the urban noise that can be integrated to the environmental planning in the city of Rio Claro (SP). Therefore, normative and bibliographical revisions were developed, that made feasible the directives of control argument and prevention of the urban noise, as well as the technical procedures of sound levels and evaluation’s definition and especially about the criteria applicable for the elaboration of an urban acoustic zoning methodology. Among the main results obtained detach: (1) the applicable legislation to the management of urban noise’s synthesis and argument; (2) the methodology of urban acoustic zoning development and (3) its implementation to determined areas of Rio Claro (SP) with the (4) respective cartography representation; (5) the mapping of sound levels in the central zone of Rio Claro (SP), (6) the obtaining and analysis of noise describers (LAeq, Lmáx, L10, L50, L90, Lmin and TNI) and the subsequent (7) acoustic maps elaboration for the main describers.

There are many approaches and techniques about Administration and Management of Projects in order to provide greater agility, efficiency and transparency during the development process of new products. Simultaneously, a pursuit for a management approach more flexible in its planning and strategic changes during the development campaign, such as, comprehend the project's unpredictability level and deal it by monitoring and estimates tools. These features tend to accentuate itself in manufacturers of complex products, as aircraft and other aerospace technologies. By these conditions thus research aims to describe a case when the Agile Management Processing of Project Development Scrum was used in the Test area of an aircraft manufacturer. Focused on the Scrum implementation over the area, its adaptation, evolution and achievements the research proposes to analyze the improvements, indicate the obstacles and discuss solutions, contributing then to the theoretical basis of the considered theme and futures updates applicable to the area. Salmonella is the etiological agent responsible for one of the most important Food Borne Disease (FBD), Salmonellosis, which generates significant economic consequences in several countries, including Brazil. Poultry meat is one of the most important disseminators of the pathogen. Accordingly, several countries have developed programs trying to reduce the prevalence of Salmonella in poultry meat. Such programs are based on the research of the pathogen in the carcasses, establishing a maximum limit of positive samples at each set of analysis. The Salmonella scans are usually made using the conventional microbiological methods, which tend to be expensive and time consuming. In recent years were developed rapid methods such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which can greatly shorten the results time, showing greater sensitivity and specificity than conventional methodology

Collaborative Systems are designed to support individuals in order to solve a problem together, or cooperatively (or collaboratively). Such systems have the advantage of not requiring the presence in the same location of the participants. The basis of any Collaborative System is communication, where users interact with each other in order to exchange information. Communication among individuals is accomplished through collaborative tools such as chat, email, document repository, etc.. Using these tools, companies can reduce operational costs, saving on travel and accommodation of its employees to attend meetings. The project members only need a computer with internet access to use collaborative tools. Project management is essential to the quality of the nal product. To perform a proper management, methodologies must be applied using methods, tools and procedures. There are some phases that are considered generic for all software process models, they are: de nition, development, maintenance and activity to support the software process. In this paper is described a platform for project management using the concepts and features of Collaborative Systems. The goal of this platform is to unify various collaborative tools (such as chat and document repository) in a project management system. Using the system, it becomes possible to manage projects, and the ability to maintain an active constant communication between members of each project

This paper aims to discuss the system of inventory management in a public university. The present paper shows the definitions, classification of materials and the advantages and disadvantages of storage, besides exposing the public procurement bidding system since the acquisition until receipt of materials to be stored. This paper presents a survey of the items stored in the warehouse and use of control tools such as ABC curve to demand flow prized for verification of critical items and idle items. Displays also a calculation for the minimum value of stock and replacement of an item in inventory and an analysis of the conditions of the warehouse layout. As a result, knowledge is acquired and a revised system of inventory management of the institution was proposed

The work below boards critically the issues involved in the study of the microbiota of milk. It starts with a contextualization of the current dairy chain, in the presence of Normative Instruction - 51. Following are developed the most relevant concepts and definitions about the subject: the emergence of psychrotrophic, mesophilic acidifying metabolism, the injuries of marginal cooling. Next, the main genres that comprise the milky microbiota are described, in front of the following question: from what point the metabolism of these bacteria is no longer beneficial and becomes a deteriorating activity to the product? The paper does not end with classical conclusions or definite answers, but with questions, pointing out lines of research that can improve the quality of Brazilian milk, making it a differentiated and competitive product at the international market

The current problematic of the construction and demolition (C&D) waste faced for the Brazilian cities, is one of the main degradation factors of the environment, over all about the promise of the urban ambient quality. This scenery must mainly to the unsustainable management adopted by the great majority of the Brazilian cities. Therefore, this work aims at to offer subsidies for medium cities, having as study object the city of Rio Claro-SP, (Brazil), in the elaboration of plans and integrated programs of sustainable management of the construction and demolition waste, in accordance with CONAMA Resolution nº 307/2002, that’s set up a sustainable management system of C&D waste. In this direction, the diagnosis of the management was elaborated for the city of Rio Claro, (generation, collects, transport and disposal) and the public administration of the construction and demolition waste, as well as of the study of the related aspects with C&D waste recycling plant. Later, was suggested a plan of improvements for the public manager of C&D waste: areas of temporary disposal to facility the appropriating destination, appropriated areas of final disposal, incentives to the recycling of C&D waste, new legislations, education and orientation programs and adequacy the agents of C&D waste management (generating, transporting, addressee and public manager), directing for an environmental, economic and social sustainability.

Objectives: conduct a systematic review of national and international literature, to classify the types of production, comparing the two literatures and synthesize knowledge in the area. Method: Systematic Review of Literature, in the databases LILACS, CINAHL and MEDLINE for selection of articles in their entirety, the data extracted from the articles selected were: the study of bibliographic information (title, author, journal, place of study and year of publication), and general information (multidisciplinary production or specific area, language, type of study, type of population and contributions of the study). The categories established for classification of publications were: raising the cost of procedures/ interventions, economic evaluation of specific intervention, inclusion of nursing in the economic context, using cost as an important variable in the study. Results: The study included 39 publications, with 31% of national production and the remaining 69%, internationally. Most publications were classified according to category of economic evaluation of specific intervention, followed by the category of raising the cost of procedure / intervention, which fits the majority of national production. Human resources is shaped as an important variable for obtaining cost studies that proposed to make this calculation. Conclusion: The production of literature in nursing cost management is relevant in number of publications within the proposed period and is directed to different areas within this theme. There are significant differences in national and international literature: these last use more accurate methods, have more content theorized, use more the economic evaluation tools and related more costs with a amplified context. The production of such knowledge should continue as far as possible and putting that knowledge relating the current reality, in order to amplify the field of nursing and add value

The civil construction is an industrial sector of great economic importance and that it comes exponentially growing in the country. However, this activity is deficient in its management processes, and in this context that the management of construction as a way of organizing and controlling all the technical and construction of an enterprise. The literature shows that the manager has a key role throughout the process of planning, execution and analysis of the results of the work being of prime importance that all steps have its due attention in order to avoid any technical problems or lack information. The management’s main objective is the transparency of technical and financial information to investors and their assessments of physical and financial performances of the work intervened positively in quality, deadlines and costs. In this sense, this paper aims to present consideration about the proper management of a residential development in vertical construction

Introdução: O adequado gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos domiciliares (RSD) tem se estabelecido nas últimas décadas como um importante instrumento na diminuição do lixo doméstico destinados aos aterros. A compostagem doméstica e a produção de sabão a partir de óleo usado são alternativas para a reciclagem dos RSD que, ao contrário dos lixos recicláveis, não são explorados comercialmente. Assim, o ensino dessas técnicas para a comunidade pode ser uma ferramenta útil na educação ambiental, disseminando práticas que evitam a destinação final de resíduos sólidos em aterros e desenvolvendo valores para a sustentabilidade. Objetivos: Ensinar formas de reciclagem dos RSD através de técnicas de compostagem e produção de sabão a partir de óleo usado, servindo também como instrumento para promover a educação ambiental, e conscientizar a comunidade sobre a importância de um adequado gerenciamento de resíduos. Métodos: As atividades de ensino consistiram em duas partes, unindo teoria e prática, por meio da apresentação de painéis explicativos sobre compostagem, produção de sabão, e sobre as vantagens decorrentes desses processos seguida da realização das técnicas apresentadas, com a produção de sabão em barra e líquido com óleo usado, e pela montagem de pequenas composteiras em garrafões PET de 5 litros de água mineral reaproveitados. Resultados: As atividades foram realizadas em eventos abertos a sociedade de São José do Rio Preto, tais como a Semana da Tecnologia, em outubro de 2010 e a Semana do Meio Ambiente, em junho de 2011, ambas desenvolvidas no SESC (Serviço Social do Comércio) da cidade. O público foi variado, incluindo desde aposentados e donas de casa até estudantes e profissionais de diversos setores. O interesse em anotar as metodologias explicadas culminou na idéia de produzir um material impresso que contivesse as receitas de sabão (líquido e em barra), os procedimentos e dicas de como realizar a compostagem. A convite de uma escola pública, houve também a apresentação das atividades para pais de alunos e funcionários interessados em aprender as práticas para o adequado gerenciamento dos RSD, levando à discussão das possibilidades de implantação de um projeto de compostagem na própria escola.

This paper presents a study of practices in project management of a college team that participates in Baja SAE competitions. The use of management techniques can deliver benefits to the project in terms of meeting customer needs, use of time and resources and minimization of risks, for example. Should be sought methods and techniques in agreement with the project context and the team that leads it. This paper analyzes a specific case of baja vehicle project management, obtaining data by means of literature research, archival research and interviews with students on the team (structured and unstructured). The study allowed to relate the practices used by the team and to identify possible areas for improvement, based on the literature on project management. There was thus obtained a set of recommendations for the current team, in future initiatives, and to other teams responsible for carrying out similar projects
