This study is to provide parameters from theoretical and exploratory research in the creation and institutionalization of information science to establish a link with Information Literacy. Approaches are presented in which contributions allow us to understand the relationships and kinds of science in general and their applicability to the population studied, since these theories have a big relationship with the deepening of the area and their social, cultural and economic relationships. We hope to contribute with selective reference to assist the understanding of the issues arising from information science and the knowledge generated by its researchers. This requires developing new skills of access and use of information, providing an interaction between information literacy and knowledge building in Information Science.

The sports activities occupy a growing space in people's lives, especially children and youth. Taking into consideration that this practice is of paramount importance, especially in childhood, where the acquired habits influence in adulthood, this work aims to investigate the role of physical education classes in adherence of children to the practice of some activity sports. These are a dynamic process, and to realize it is necessary planning, making the practice is a pleasurable activity. Thus, an important point to note is the motivation, which depends on extrinsic and intrinsic factors. Another factor that may interfere in the sporting practices is the influence of parents on children. In this context, the contact sports can be used to gain the approval of parents and not for self-gratification, this being a way to get closer to distant parents. A point worth mentioning is the physical education, as this introduces and integrates the child's body / movement culture. Often child's first contact with the sport happens at school, leading us to the assumption that the physical education teachers at the school are responsible for the athletic student motivation, and we emphasize that the school motivational factors are very dependent on students' aspirations for that a particular motivational element can take effect. The technical and / or professional outside of school physical education also influence the child, as these can provide pleasure for the sport, being a connoisseur of motivational strategies. An important motivational aspect is friendship, as children use sports activities to make new friends and find your friends. Toxoplasmosis is an important zoonosis and one of the most common parasitic infections throughout the world, which may cause among other problems several fetal pathologic alterations. Congenital toxoplasmosis is a result of transplacental transmission of Toxoplasma gondii due to a prime infection of the mother during pregnancy. Several studies have determined that the main risk factor for infection in pregnant women is the consumption of uncooked meat, which contributed from 30 to 63% of cases; other 6% to 17% of infections were related to contaminated soil. The relationship between pregnant women and their cats constitutes nothing more than a healthy experience when main transmission mechanisms and risk factors related to the disease are known.

Empresas muitas vezes tem seu consumo de energia elétrica descontrolados por possuírem motores elétricos muitas vezes super-dimensionados, trabalhando em vazio ou em horário de pico. Sendo este tipo de atividade responsável por grande parte do gasto energético da empresa. Existem dois fatores que avaliam o modo de utilização desta energia, denominados fator de potência (fp) e fator de carga (fc), que indicam a eficiência e racionalidade da forma de utilização da energia elétrica, respectivamente. A necessidade de uma avaliação global da utilização da energia, levando em consideração os dois fatores citados, é realizada por especialistas da área energética para a determinação da situação real da empresa. Podendo ser uma tarefa árdua muitas vezes demorada. Para isto é necessária uma análise estatística descritiva dos dados. Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar esta analise de dados de uma empresa de refino de óleo vegetal.

Comportamento do fator de potência de uma serra de fita vertical e de um picador em uma serraria

This work aims to present the electrical behavior of two mechanical processing equipment of wood, the saw vertical tape and the wood chipper. Their characteristics in real operating conditions and the electrical behavior of devices in terms of energy efficiency is shown through the study of individual power factor are presented in this study. It was observed that both devices operate unloaded for some intervals of time and this contributes to a low power factor. It is concluded that improved production planning and better preparation of the operators in the operations of sawing wood, in order to improve the power factor in sawmills is necessary.

O lodo de esgoto como fator de supressão de fitopatógenos

O descarte ideal para um resíduo altamente poluente somado à necessidade de se diminuir o uso do agrotóxico nas plantações, faz com que estudos sejam direcionados para a utilização do lodo de esgoto como fator de supressão de fitopatógenos. Alguns pesquisadores já encontraram resultados bastante animadores, atribuindo aos resíduos das estações de tratamento de esgoto, a diminuição dos sintomas ou até mesmo o total controle dos organismos fitopatogênicos. O trabalho teve como objetivo sintetizar os resultados, com ênfase em artigos científicos e trabalhos acadêmicos dos últimos 15 anos, da aplicação do lodo de esgoto, fornecendo subsídio para estudos posteriores e para o público em geral interessado no assunto. O foco principal foram os mecanismos envolvidos na supressão de micro-organismos causadores de doenças em plantas, mas foram abordados os métodos de obtenção e aplicação, a problemática de substâncias e micro-organismos potencialmente perigosos presentes no lodo de esgoto, bem como os principais pontos relevantes da utilização florestal e agrícola do resíduo

Fatores ergonômicos críticos de mochos odontológicos e sua relação com a produtividade e satisfação de cirurgiões dentistas

The purpose of the ergonomics is to generate adequate working conditions, by the correct use of equipment and appropriate anatomic positions. Ergonomics has become essential in the dentist's life while in the dental practice. The misuse of equipment in performing tasks or the wrong choice of equipment can initiate various problems like back pain, bursitis, repetitive strain injury (RSI), limitation of movement, and stress. Using a survey that was implemented with professional dentists linked to Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons (APCD) and graduate students at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in the São José dos Campos (SP) region, this study intends to propose an adequate research instrument to identify ergonomic critical factors of dental stools and their relation to productivity and satisfaction of dentists. The survey was developed with Google Docs Forms tool and was designed by analysis of other studies, existing surveys and other papers in this area. Relevant content were discussed and developed questions about the stool used by dentists in their activities, the occurrence of any problems arising from the exercise of their profession and the views of respondents about the influence of using the dental stool in these cited problems as well as their productivity. Due to obstacles encountered during the project, particularly bureaucratic issues, the survey cannot be implemented as needed, resulting in a test with reduced number of answers. The users' opinion varies according to the stool used, bringing some difficulty to generalizing the answers, but if treated properly, it is possible to obtain relevant conclusions about the main aspects perceived by users in relation to the stool and the needs pointed as most important

Influência da cultura organizacional na implementação de um programa de melhoria contínua de uma empresa de grande porte

The objective of this study was to identify the facilitators and restrictive factors promoted by the organizational culture on the implementation of a continuous improvement program in a company. The influence of organizational culture on tools used to improve processes and results demonstrate critical factors for international competitiveness, reflecting a company's strategy. Depending on how new working methods are implemented, organizational changes to reduce variation and waste, such as lean production, can affect the employee experience in the workplace and their learning conditions. Changes and formalization of the work process can be coercive, characterized by forced compliance, introduction of rules, and focus on technical and financial methods; or may be favorable, encouraging employee involvement in problem solving and stressing learning and innovation. The basis of the analysis lies with two models for assessing organizational culture - Denison Model and Competing Values Framework. The methodology used was: conducting interviews, a questionnaire, literature review and documentary analysis of a large company equipment industry. Results suggest that organizational culture plays an important role in the adoption of Lean practices. It can contribute to its effectiveness and job satisfaction, but it is not decisive feature of their success. The conclusion is that the organizational culture becomes a driving factor when aligned to the proposed practices and when taken into consideration for planning, acting as a limitation when it does not promote development and a participative environment
