The school participation is a prerequisite for the construction of knowledge, learning and development. Neurological deficits may affect child's ability to explore the environment and engage in typical activities. Considering the importance of encouraging professionals in the field of education to conduct simple adjustments in school activities of daily life, this study aimed to adapt, with low cost materials, resources of entertainment and educational for children with neuromotor disorders . It was objects of this study eight resources prescribed and designed for three children diagnosed with cerebral palsy: domino, puzzle, memory game, moving magnetized alphabet, crossword, doll body scheme, adaptation of pencils for writing and bracelet sinker.The analysis of these resources occurred in the parameters of conventional design and management skills, followed by identifying the limiting conditions of the motor skills of the cases observed, indicating the materials used in the adaptation and possible uses. This study provides subsidy for implementation of teaching strategies in the care of students with neuromotor disorders.

Estudo fitoquímico e avaliação da atividade antibacteriana de Byrsonima pachyphylla A. Juss

Muitas plantas pertencentes à região do Cerrado têm sido empregadas no tratamento de diversas doenças, como é o caso da Byrsonima pachyphylla A. Juss. Esta espécie é uma árvore conhecida popularmente como murici e que faz parte da família Malpighiaceae. As folhas, raízes e cascas de espécies de Byrsonima são utilizadas pela medicina popular contra infecções intestinais, em feridas crônicas, afecções de boca e garganta e como adstringente. A literatura científica apresenta trabalhos que revelam atividade antibacteriana do gênero Byrsonima contra Staphylococcus aureus. Investigações fitoquímicas do gênero Byrsonima apontam a presença de taninos, flavonoides e catequinas. No estudo realizado, o extrato metanólico de folhas de B. pachyphylla foi fracionado por partição líquido-líquido utilizando água, acetato de etila e n-butanol. O extrato e as frações foram solubilizados em diluentes adequados e testados contra S. aureus, E. coli e H.pylori através da técnica de diluição em microplaca com determinação da concentração inibitória mínima (CIM). Uma das frações ativas (acetato de etila) foi fracionada através de cromatografia em coluna (CC). As frações obtidas foram agrupadas de acordo com a semelhança do perfil em cromatografia em camada delgada (CCD). Seis dessas frações foram testadas contra S. aureus pela mesma metodologia citada. O extrato e as frações acetato de etila, n-butanol e 98 foram submetidos à triagem fitoquímica e análises em CCD empregando fase móvel e reveladores seletivos para taninos. As frações n-butanol e acetato de etila apresentaram atividade antibacteriana contra S.aureus. O fracionamento da fração acetato de etila resultou em 98 frações, agrupadas em 15 pela semelhança em CCD. Das 6 frações testadas, 4 apresentaram atividade contra S. aureus, destacando-se a 98 que apresentou valor de CIM de 125 µg/mL, igual... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo)

Reflexão sobre prevenção de acidentes à criança no âmbito doméstico

The aim was to reflect what action to prevent accidents used by caregivers / participants in the home. This is a prospecive cross-sectional descriptive study conducted at the Pediatric Inpatient Unit, Hospital of the Medical School of Botucatu – Unesp, during the months from May to August 2010.A questionnaire was used in the form of check list (Annex I) on measures to prevent accidents. The participant chose two alternatives taking into consideration the order of priority in the prevention of accidents. This study shows that for the age group from 29 days to 2 years, the companions chose these preventive measures for falls, burns, poisoning and drowning, “do not put near the windows mobile” (27.8%), “no access the match, lighter and appliances (22.2%), leave toxic substances out of reach and sight of children (41.7%) and empty buckets, tubs and pools after use (27.8% ). Regarding the age group 2-6 years, the measures for these types of accidents were not put near the windows mobile (26.5%), do not have access to matches, lighters and household appliances (20.9% ), leave toxic products out of reach and sight of children (27.9%) and maintain tanks, tanks and wells or struck with some protection (20.2%). For ages 6 to 10 years, the measures chosen to more such accidents were dry liquid spilled on the ground (23.5%), do not have access to matches, lighters and household appliances (22.5% ), leave toxic products out of reach and sight of children (31%) and keep tanks, tanks and wells or struck with some protection (23.5%). One fact that attracted our attention was that the preventive measures most frequently used by caregivers, regardless of age, show results that differ in few alternatives. Análise comparativa de ajustamentos de estações de referências por diferentes metodologias

The use of the Global Positioning System technology has brought a real revolution in the surveying and georeferencing techniques, which are the basis for many others relevant studies to the many fields of Geography. In this sense, it was seen a massive growth of the use of GNSS receivers in Brazil from the early 2000s, due the duty of Georreferencing Rural Properties to comply with the 10.267/2001 law. For Georreferencing, it is needed high accuracy receivers, and most of time, it is used two receivers: one static base and one rover. To do the adjustment of the base (in order to correct errors), two ways are utilized: post-processing via the brazilian GNSS network - Rede Brasileira de Monitoramento Contínuo dos Sistemas GNSS (RBMC) or via Precise Point Positioning - Posicionamento por Ponto Preciso, both managed by IBGE. Given the wide range of applications as well as discussions on the accuracy of both methods, this monograph aims to conduct a comparative analysis and prove the effectiveness of both methods considering the INCRA’s Standard for Rural Properties Georreferencing. From the processing of GNSS data collected in Piracicaba, Ituverava, Iperó and São Pedro, it could be seen that the research reached the objectives and shows that both methods are accurate and feasible

This paper presents a technique dubbed WiMAX radio link, the IEEE 802.16 was completed in October 2001 and published on April 8, 2002 and is constantly updated, this technology specifies an interface for wireless metropolitan networks (WMAN) and is under control of the WiMAX Forum, which is a group of companies responsible for the dissipation of this technology in the world, the great benefit of this standard is to offer broadband Internet connection in areas where there is no infrastructure such as fiber optics that has a cost higher. The main purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical and technical characteristics of this technology for both the standard for fixed and mobile standard, regulation of frequency bands by the FCC and description of the physical layer, through to basic concepts are used in many other types of radio link and technologies have been adapted and updated for this little-known standard, allowing a greater range and speed, which are specified and differentiate these advancements is one of the contributions of the work done here.
