CCurrently there are various systems for the evaluation of environmental impacts of buildings, known as tools of environmental certification. Among these, the tool LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations has been the most widely used and accepted worldwide, in assessing the sustainability of buildings. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the tool for LEED certification for construction work in Brazil, which ranks fourth in the world ranking records certification of sustainable buildings. It was found in this analysis that the assumptions of this tool are encouraging the use of more sustainable and less impactful on the environment as it promotes the deployment of innovative projects from a technological standpoint, , as well as the valuation of enterprises certified. Also, very significant results obtained in terms of energy efficiency and environmental quality in occupied buildings

The discussions about the energy rationalization are gaining more and more space on the everyday of engineers and other professionals in the field of energy. A greater focus is being tied to commercial buildings, because they are one of the biggest responsible for the high energetic expenditure according to the National Energetic Balance, especially by the use of air conditioners for the people’s thermal comfort. Such finding made INMETRO to develop a building labeling procedure through th National Program of Electric Energy Conservation in Buildings; by means of this systematic, the built areas are classified by levels that go from A(the best) to E(the worst), taking into account envelopment, illumination system and air conditioning. A bonus process based on water rationalization, use of renewable energy sources, cogeneration systems or technical innovations, allows the classification to be changed up to one level. A study made exactly on a commercial building, the building of Foundation for Technological and Scientific Development located inside of the College of Engineering of Guaratinguetá, sought to identify technical/economic alternatives for the building certification and appealed to the bonus based on water rationalization. The present study is based on analysis of deploying a cogeneration system formed by internal combustion engine and an absorption refrigeration system as bonus alternative, so that the costs are analyzed regarding energy consumption and use of the motor. With the calculations and results, the viability of the building to receive a bonus from INMETRO through its National Program for Energy Conservation in Buildings is studied and concluded from this study whether or not you can get a better level of energy efficiency for the building in question... This conclusion thesis has the objective of produce substrates of Silicon Carbide from the powder of SiC for aerospace use. The powder of SiC was pressed in cylindrical form by the process called “wet way”. For the inicial pressing process was used a uniaxial squeezer and after that was used a isostatic squeezer, after that the samples were synthesized. The next step was the machining and polishing to improve the features of the surface of the sample. Then the roughness was measured, as also the Arquimedes method and optical microscopy and scanning eletron microscopy. Some innovations were done, in one of the lots little vacancys were done with organic material or silicon to reduce the weight of the sample; and the other innovation were the use of a slip film of SiC on the surface of the sample, that were after synthesized with LASER to reduce the roughness, in this samples the roughness were reduce in 50 % if compared with the other samples

O presente trabalho buscou avaliar a trajetória de desenvolvimento dos dois países, mostrando como as trajetórias são diferentes, e como essa diferença culminou na maior capacitação da indústria indiana, em relação a brasileira, embora quarenta anos atrás elas fossem extremamente semelhantes

The automobilist Market is more competitive each day, with new products developed by great technological innovations, daily challenging new concepts of Engineering. This monograph aims to explain the development of a brake system project completely, with emphasis on preliminary calculations made from a worksheet in Excel, for a better understanding of the components, which can be improved further in order to achieve the goals of company. It is through the preliminary calculations that we can have a reasonable first system estimate. The whole set is then analyzed for performance, cost and mass by competitors benchmarking. In terms of confidentiality, all data is fictional, but viable. The motivation for this study is approach an extracurricular topic, which essence is designing, base of engineering. The results obtained in software and field tests prove the validity of the study and assist in the continuous improvement of product development

Modern society is characterized by being in evolution finds, technology strides and every day becomes the setting in which we live. At school, however, we found no features of these changes, the years pass and the methodological tools remain unchanged. In this paper we analyze an object produced by the Learning Network Interactive Virtual Education - RIVED to discuss whether it covers the content and answers to the questions proposed by the National Curricular and Curricular Proposal of the State of Sao Paulo, and may be inserted in the educational environment, both to perform a qualitative analysis, focusing on information retrieval. The results showed that the Learning Objects: Abundance, has most of the proposals relating to the subject of study, prepared by the NCP and the Proposed Structure for the State of Sao Paulo, so it is valid for teachers to use this tool trying that with a new approach, we can give students a better understanding of chemical concepts

Como os professores do município focalizado vêem a formação continuada? E ainda: como lidam com essa questão dos cursos para progressão na carreira? Com quais objetivos fazem os cursos? Se é que fazem? Como ficam sabendo? Em que condições eles são oferecidos? O que esses professores acham da qualidade dos cursos? Da duração? O que efetivamente esses cursos mudam em suas práticas? Acham importante fazê-los, não acham? É possível afirmar que para os docentes, a progressão continuada não existe para suprir falhas da formação inicial conforme o discurso político atual, mas ela existe, para acrescentar e atualizar o conhecimento do professor perante as inovações tecnológicas. Por meio da análise do estatuto, verifica-se que ao olhar do município é condição sine qua non a realização dos cursos de progressão continuada na progressão da carreira para atender ao discurso vigente (má formação inicial do professor). Neste sentido, o objetivo desta pesquisa é verificar qual a importância da progressão continuada para os docentes, além disso, analisar, identificar e entender os mecanismos que levaram um município do interior paulista a elaborar um novo Estatuto do Magistério com Plano de Carreira. Para a constatação dos objetivos citados acima foram realizadas entrevistas com profissionais envolvidos na elaboração do Estatuto, bem como com aqueles profissionais que são regidos pelo mesmo, ou seja, os professores do Ensino Fundamental I.

A monoclonal antibody (mAb) is an important tool in medical biotechnology and the production of biopharmaceuticals, especially for disease diagnosis and treatment of infections, because the antibodies have a significant advantage over chemical agents used in conventional therapies . The last thirty years the technology of production of monoclonal antibodies developed mainly the technique of obtaining in vitro, but also of their production is laborious, the cost is high. A major element of the high cost of production is the fact that the long-term culture consumes a large amount of imported inputs with high added value. A major contribution of this work is to promote cell growth more quickly and efficiently. Currently, a great race to discover new technologies and techniques to synthesize new antibodies and significantly increase the production of murine mAbs. New technologies such as laser and LED are innovations and widespread in modern life, so much so that its use has proliferated worldwide, primarily in the medical field. Recent studies show a series of results from the influence of the LED light in biological tissues such as: increasing the rate of cell proliferation, increased production rate of fibroblasts, increasing the rate of synthesis of RNA and DNA synthesis of ATP, etc. To assess the contribution of the LED in the culture of Myeloma NS1murino compared to the standard procedure. - NS1 cells were provided and followed the criteria of culture medium of the Laboratory of Cellular Engineering Center of Botucatu (POPs). The same amount of cells was grown in bottles of 25 cm2 polystyrene Tissue Culture Treated, specifically marked and kept in special medium RPMI 1640 Gibco BRL  supplemented with fetal bovine serum 10%, essential amino acids and non-essential, glucose, insulin and antibiotics. Currently, the competition between organizations in the pursuit of consumer preference has become increasingly fierce. In addition, consumers have become increasingly demanding due to high speed with which innovations occur, leaving the companies meet and sometimes surpass those expectations In this context, there is the necessity to use methods as mathematical models capable of dealing with the optimization of multiple responses simultaneously. In this context, this study presents an application of techniques of Design of Experiment in a machining process of a NIMONIC 80 alloy, a “superalloy” that has thermal and mechanical properties that make its machining difficult and in order to do this, the Desirability Function was used. As they are determining conditions in the machining capability of the alloy, the roughness and the cutting length were considered as variable settings, and the factors that can influence them are cutting speed, feed rate, cutting depth, inserts type and lubrication. The analysis of the result pointed out how was the influence of all factors on each response and also showed the efficiency and reliability of the method

O presente trabalho propõe-se a discutir os determinantes do processo de desenvolvimento de software livre, seus efeitos na indústria de software e as ações do governo em relação a estas iniciativas Impulsionados, principalmente, pelos impactos dos avanços nas tecnologias de informação e comunicação e por inovações de processos relacionados a estes progressos, projetos de desenvolvimento de Software Livre/Código Aberto vêm crescendo em ritmo cada vez mais acelerado e tornando-se alvo de estratégias de empresas e políticas públicas. A partir desta constatação, o trabalho procura relacionar o arcabouço teórico que visa explicar estas iniciativas com dados da indústria brasileira de software e verificar como este modelo de produção pode modificar e agregar às suas feições. Foi realizado também um balanço das intervenções do governo brasileiro relacionadas a software livre/código aberto
