The high competitiveness and the search for newtechnologies that differentiate the product from the project, require the use of new digital tools. The computer aideddesign - Computed Aided Design (CAD), with electronicmodeling, simulation, structural analysis and production, performed in a virtual environment through the applicationof specific software, are available but their use is stilllimited. There are various software available in languagesand extensions to industrial production which, from 3Dmodeling, they can manage through Computer NumericalControl - Computed Numerical Control (CNC) machiningcenters, laminating, stamping, mold making and otherprocesses productive. This project aims to encouragecreativity and entrepreneurship in the community throughthe provision of technology computer aided design - CAD,with a view to implementation of machining technology.

Art can be understood as a process in which knowledge is used to perform certain skills. From Latin ARS, technical means and / or ability, in Greece, there was the word art, but "Tekne", which originated from the word "technical." So art and technique are present in sculptures, paintings, shoes or ships. In this sense, designers, engineers and all professionals who use technology can be called artists. Considerations must be made regarding the level of energy embedded in the material from its production until its use, even considering recycling, sustainability and life cycle of materials. This study aimed to present the use of scanning technology and 3D virtual modeling and its application in prototyping with CNC (Computed Numerical Control) as a tool in current use cutting-edge courses in arts, design and engineering and their relations with sustainability.

This paper proposes an observation that leads to new ways of thinking regarding to women's in science and technology fields, based on previous researches that report this matter. The first detailed work on the participation and achievement of women in Science was "Women in Science" in 1913, written by HJ Mozans, a Catholic priest. According to Schienbinger (2001), this work used to invite women to develop activities in scientific areas and unleash the energies of half population of the planet. It's also important to consider the role of international organs, such as UNESCO, which since the 1990s develops studies, researches and conferences in order to discuss the inclusion of women in activities which involve science and technology. A survey based on data from literature is necessary to make a assessment on this subject in current times.

This article aims to map the development of the market of digital TV in Brazil, under the aspect of the relation among culture, technology and politics. We start with a history of analog TV, since its inception, showing matrices of Brazilian TV. Then we try to show current conditions of the TV market in the country, its ambiguous relation with the internet and the possible ways for survival of open digital TV: respect for cultural diversity, the observation of the habits acquired from other media, the consistent use of digital language and the modifi cation of public policies in favor of the collective and not protectionism of large private communication companies.

This paper presents some results from a study of undergraduate students from different regions of the State of São Paulo that sought to better understand the relationships between society and perceptions and attitudes towards technological development. Noting that the media, academia and official documents regulating education understand and present the technology in a distinct and often contradictory ways, this paper seeks to review existing literature on the different ways to conceptualize this term, and thereafter, to develop a Likert' scale for mapping the concepts of students. Using the confirmatory analysis of structural equation modeling, this research concludes that the sample studied shows a classical view, but outdated, what means technology, by linking it to science and technology without distinction or critical viewpoints.

In this contribution, we discuss and analyze some aspects of nanoscience and nanotechnology, based on the approach kwon as Science, Technology and Society (STS), as well as the prospects of Philosophy of Technology. In this context, we specify the constitute the nanoscience and nanotechnology analytic research field. I is also reported its genesis and limits, emphasizing the impacts of nanotechnology in the development of the contemporary society, such as the possible benefits and problems associated to the use of nanotechnology, as well as environmental impacts, doubts and uncertainties that permeate this areas, in addition some ethical questions and public policies for the sector are analyzed.

In this contribution, we analyze conceptual approaches to nanotechnology and nanoscience in recent issues of secondary education of Brazilian physics textbooks. We analyzed fifteen collections of Physics textbooks of recent editions, however, only two books, belonging to different collections incorporate considerations about nanotechnology and nanoscience in their approaches. We focus our analysis on three aspects, namely: the place dedicated to approaches to nanoscience and nanotechnology, notions about technology and its contributions to critical scientific education. This is a qualitative research; it was used as conceptual approaches the Philosophy of Technology, The Discourse Analysis (DA) and Science, Technology, Society (STS) concepts. We found that in two examined textbooks the approaches to nanoscience and nanotechnology is a complementary description of modern physics, associated with quantum theory. In this context, the concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology focus superficially in the genesis of the field and some possible areas of applications. It was not identified in all textbooks warnings about the potential risks to human health and the environment from the use of nanotechnology and nanoscience. We understand that textbooks approaches about nanotechnology and nanoscience round a instrumental technological perspective, however keep away from the scientific and technological critical education.

This article is part of the result of the Master's thesis of the author, guided by coauthor, and presents a theoretical and conceptual reflection on the representation of Technology in thematic sections Technology in four Brazilian newspaper sites. The fundamental hypothesis is that these editorials prioritize issues that meet market interests of companies in the sector and may be leaving out important social and cultural issues to the understanding of the relationship between technology and society. The study is itself oriented by prospects of journalistic theming and specialized journalism, from a quantitative analysis involving the websites from newspapers of Technology sections O Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, Gazeta do Povo and Correio Braziliense. The study confirms the hypothesis that representation of Technology in newspapers is primarily the marketing, have not corresponding to an expectation of social and cultural concept. In addition, it is noticed that the editorial in question do not have specialized journalism characteristics, despite of potential generated by thematic segmentation.
