A política nacional de resíduos sólidos e o plano diretor municipal de Rio Claro/SP: o uso como instrumento para a gestão urbano-ambiental municipal

Due to the large economic development associated with the growing consumerist lifestyle of our capitalist society, the problem of uncontrolled solid waste generation worsens, which one is considered to be one of the main responsible factors for environmental degradation. As a case study and in order to solve the problem of large generation of municipal solid waste, this work aims to study the “plano diretor” of Rio Claro city, São Paulo. The “plano diretor” is a municipal law that provides guidelines for the administration of the city, which include guidelines for the management of solid waste generated in the city. The guidelines required in order to write the “plano diretor” are provided by the national law “estatuto da cidade”, providing information for the planning and development of the cities, as well as the management of the urban environment. However, only the “estatuto da cidade” does not provide enough instructions for creating management plans in order to solve the many problems from the urban environment. Thus, studies have been done about urban and environmental management, to understand how municipal management plans should be structured. As a form of seeking information that can complement the “plano diretor” to the creation of policies for managing solid waste of the city, the “Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos”(PNRS) emerges in 2010 as a document which provides principles, objectives and guidelines to create plans for Solid Waste Management at the national, state, regional and municipal levels. Therefore, it was possible to make a joint analysis of the “plano diretor” of Rio Claro with the PNRS to identify what is already done within the municipality about the solid waste management, and identify which aspects are most significant in the municipal solid waste management that the national policy provides. A fuzzy Lyapunov function approach for stabilization and control of switched TS fuzzy systems

In this work, sufficient conditions for the existence of switching laws for stabilizing switched TS fuzzy systems via a fuzzy Lyapunov function are proposed. The conditions are found by exploring properties of the membership functions and are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Stabilizing switching conditions with bounds on the decay rate solution and H1 performance are also obtained. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design methods.

Nowadays, being prepared for competition is a basic demand for companies to survive and expand their businesses, requiring more and more productivity enhancements and costs reductions without interfering in the products quality. Thus, it is very important to have a solid management system adapted to each specific market and industrial sector. With that, many companies invest in studies to optimize its processes aiming to increase production. This work has the goal to present a deployment plan to Lean Manufacturing principles on a small fast food enterprise. The methodology consisted on a bibliographic research followed by an observation of the daily reality and problems found in loco. The study showed that the Lean principles can be a competitive advantage when applying the plan on new processes and enable changes on old methods already implemented by the organization. Besides that, contribute to a productivity enhancement and consequently the employee's motivation

Estudo comparativo da inclinação do plano oclusal de modelos para cirurgia ortognática montados em dois tipos de articuladores semi-ajustáveis

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare occlusal plane angulation measured in two different types of semi-adjustable articulators with that obtained on the lateral cephalometric radiograph. Materials and Methods: 20 patients due to undergo orthognathic surgery had dental casts mounted in two different types of semi-adjustable articulators through face bow transfer from the position of the maxilla and occlusal recording to the mandible. After mounting, the inclination of the occlusal plane in the articulators was measured and compared with the inclination measured at on both articulators and compared with the inclination measured on the lateral cephalometric radiographs and between the articulators themselves. The results obtained werestatistically analyzed. Results: Mean angulation values for the Bio Art (7.55º) and Kavo (-5.70º) articulators differ by 13.25º, which is statistically significant (p=0.00). When individually compared to the lateral cephalometric radiograph (5.075º), the Bio Art articulator showed more similar angulation values, with a difference of 2.475º, while the Kavo articulator presented a difference of 10.775º. Conclusion: Neither of the models of semi-adjustable articulators accurately reproduced the inclination of the maxillary occlusal plane of patients with dentofacial deformities; the difference between the two articulators tested and the lateral cephalometric radiograph was lower for the Bio Art than for the Kavo articulator.

Influence of nicotine and cotinine impregnation on the first step of periodontal regeneration: clot stabilization

This study analyzes the clot stabilization on root surfaces of teeth impregnated with cotinine and nicotine and the influence of the scaling in the adhesion of blood components, observing the influence of new exposition to nicotine and/or cotinine after scaling. Fifteen human teeth extracted due to periodontal disease of non-smokers patients were selected and manually scaled. Four dentin blocks were obtained from each tooth (n = 60). Samples received blood application or reimpregnation with nicotine and/or cotinine, depending on the groups. Group 1: PBS immersion + root scaling + blood; group 2: nicotine + root scaling + blood; group 3: nicotine + root scaling + nicotine reapplication + blood; group 4: cotinine + root scaling + blood; group 5: cotinine + root scaling + cotinine reapplication+ blood; group 6: nicotine and cotinine + root scaling + nicotine and cotinine + blood. Samples were kept in 2 ml of each substance for 24 hours. Each group received a blood drop and was analyzed by SEM. The higher amount of blood components was present in teeth exposed to cotinine and the groups submitted to scaling and blood application in comparison with groups that received reapplication of toxic substances after scaling. The greater toxic effect on root dentin surface was after the exposure to nicotine and cotinine. Results suggest that periodontal healing may be delayed in smokers due to the direct inhibition of clot stabilization on the root surface when nicotine and cotinine are present concomitantly.

This work of course conclusion has as objective main the development of a plan of marketing for academy of Acquamondo gymnastics. The enterprise has good equipment and training structure, allowing the client a propitious exercise that shows valuables results. However, there's no structured organization of internal and external communication and marketing: the concern with this topics, essential nowadays to the companies' survivor, practically doesn't exists. Expecting the improvement of the relationship between academy and its clients, enlarge the horizons of the mark and make it known at Bauru and region, stablish priority publics and actions and prospect new clients, the main ideas have been used of practices which contribute in an expressive way for the e stablished objective, like planning, strategic planning, marketing, communication and Public Relations, all applied to the reality of a micro and small company. Based on the concepts described above and by means of SWOT Analysis, a model of marketing plan was proposed with the aim of expanding the reach and impact power of Acquamondo gymnastics in the region its operates

The aim of this article is to discuss and compare the goals and objectives for the youth and adult education (EJA) present in the National Education Plan (Law No. 10.17201), whose term ended in January 2011, with the new proposal for a National Education Plan, produced by the brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC), which is in course in Congress. Our discussion if run through by the comparison between what the goals that, in general, were reached, which were partially reached and which ones were not reached, this analysis will result, in a certain way, in a “portrait” of the current situation of youth and adult education (EJA) in Brazil.
