This study investigated the effect of slope and antecedent soil moisture on the water depth stored and percolated on extensive green roofs built in pilot scale. For this purpose, slopes of 10, 20 and 30% were investigated. Moisture was measured before and after each test to determine the differential moisture (ΔU). A rainfall simulator was designed and tested; the best arrangement presents a Christiansen Uniformity Coefficient of 56%. The results yielded that the slopes of 10% presented the highest values of water depth stored (59,88%), water depth percolated (77,15%), the slope of 30% presented the highest water depth drained (48,22%.) and there was no correlation between slope, water depth stored, water depth percolated and ΔU. It was verified the effect of dilution on the modules i10% between water depth percolated and apparent color (0.71%) in i20% between water depth drained and apparent color (-0.748%) and in the module i30% between water depth drained and turbidity (-0.76%) and water depth drained and apparent color (-0.93%). In i10% there was high correlation between pH and water depth percolated (0.94%) and between water depth drained and pH (0.71%). This study aimed to analyze the relationships – some already established and others that are still necessary – between the obligatory curriculum component Physical Education and the textbooks, understood as materials that assist both teachers and students during the teaching and learning process. In this way, we focused the discussion on some topics that have enabled a greater understanding of textbooks for Education in general and for School Physical Education more specifically, taking into account their specific characteristics. There were also some understandings about School Physical Education in Brazilian contemporary society as well as some official regiments about this curriculum component. Finally, it was elaborated some propositions that seek to generate interlacements to a deeper comprehension about textbooks in Physical Education classes. We concluded that although there are (few) textbooks in the area and some curriculum proposals from different Brazilian States that quest new ways of conceiving the teaching and learning process of School Physical Education, it is important to have more understandings about the roles of these materials in the pedagogical practice, as well as studies that can enable ways to treat this curricular component that could contribute to the critical and reflective educational practice during the years of schooling in Basic Education

O valor mágico do olhar no capítulo 35 do livro I do 'Opus agriculturae' de Paládio

Blood is one of the most important and powerful elements in magical and religious symbology. As it is an essential substance for animal survival, it does not sound strange that through the ages blood has been given many significant symbolic values (both positive and negative). It can provide life, protection and prosperity in the same proportion that it can cause calamities, destruction and even death. In Opus agriculturae, a farming treatise written by Palladius (V AD), more specifically in Book I, Chapter 35, the author presents prescriptions to protect farms against scourges and climatic phenomena. He mentions some procedures in which blood is a fundamental component in the success of the prescriptions. The aim of the present article is to identify any magic power associated with these practices, their specific symbolic value, especially when related to menstrual blood and to other feminine elements with some magical or religious value. An evaluation is also made of the extent of these symbologies in the context of other practices and situations linked not only to agricultural magic, but to religion and to the ritual practices of other communities, whether in ancient times or not.

The objective of the research is to map and analyze the investment, strategies of develop and prospects of green chemical industry in Brazil and show the fundamental importance of basic research and applied research in the development of this industry in recent years. The complementary objectives are: (i) to evaluate the role of the Brazilian government as a catalyst, encouraging the development of green chemistry industry through incentives, subsidies and ease in credit lines; ii) mapping of relationships between companies universities and public research institutes in the field of green chemistry; iii) verification of the strategies in the world stage green chemistry, the course of time; iv) the theoretical issues and national plans, and your practicable; v) continued investment in the area, with the worry of them being affected by any matter cyclical such as the discovery of a large deposit of shale gas in the United States and a technological development of oil extraction in Brazil and vi) the pace of R&D for basic and applied in the country with the passage of time
