O profissional da informaçao e as habilidades exigidas no mercado de trabalho emergente

Diante de um novo perfil do emprego e do mercado de trabalho - que se transforma marcadamente em face das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) há uma demanda por profissionais munidos de novas habilidades e competências. Assim, objetiva-se, de modo geral, analisar as novas habilidades demandadas pelo mercado de trabalho atual para o profissional da informação. Para tanto, busca-se especificamente, caracterizar os fatores determinantes do contexto atual; verificar o impacto das TIC no mercado de trabalho do profissional da informação; e conhecer as transformações ocorridas no perfil deste profissional frente a estas mudanças. Para alcançar os objetivos propostos recorreu-se à pesquisa bibliográfica, bem como à análise de anúncios de empregos divulgados no website Catho On-line. A análise dos dados se deu de forma comparativa entre os anos de 2003 e 2005 e, permitiu concluir que as habilidades exigidas para o profissional da informação na atualidade dizem respeito, além dos conhecimentos técnicos, a fluência em idioma estrangeiro, ao domínio da informática, aos conhecimentos gerencias e, principalmente, às habilidades interpessoais_____________________________________________________________________________Facing a new profile of the job and the labor market - that changes remarkably regarding to the new technologies of information and communication (TIC), there is a demand for professionals who posses new abilities and competences. To reach the proposed objectives it was realized bibliographical research, as well as to the analysis of advertisements of jobs published in the website Catho On-line, of comparative form between the years of 2003 and 2005. The analysis of the data allowed us to conclude that the abilities demanded for the professional of information at the present time concern, besides the technical knowledge, the fluency in a foreign language, to the domain of the computer science and the managing knowledge

Tratamento técnico informacional de discos sonoros: uma abordagem voltata para a análise, representação e organização de acervos musicais

Aborda o tratamento técnico informacional de discos sonoros na Biblioteca Especializada em Música Pe. Jaime Diniz, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Caracteriza os discos sonoros enquanto suporte informacional. Relata as dificuldades encontradas no processo de tratamento da informação musical em materiais especiais. Objetiva estabelecer diretrizes para a análise, representação e organização do acervo de discos sonoros. Utiliza a pesquisa bibliográfica em fontes impressas e eletrônicas para o suporte teórico, tendo como metodologia o estudo de caso. Conclui que as regras e padrões para o tratamento técnico da informação no campo da Biblioteconomia podem sofrer adaptações para melhor representar o conteúdo musical dos discos sonoros, considerando a necessidade do profissional da informação em aperfeiçoar seus conhecimentos em música.

Educação continuada como parte da formação do profissional bibliotecário: uma ação estruturante

Enfoca a educação continuada e a sua relação com a formação profissional do bibliotecário. Seu objetivo é refletir como integrar a capacitação contínua à formação desse profissional no contexto brasileiro. Pois, aspectos de ordem teórico-práticos apontam para a necessidade de maior incorporação de procedimentos metodológicos no fazer bibliotecário. Isto se dá em função de que as operações empíricas têm se tornado insuficientes para garantir a qualidade da informação gerada no âmbito de sistemas de informação. Assim, com base em ações-reflexões a partir desse contexto, identificou-se que necessário se faz adotar programas que possibilitem a capacitação desse profissional na formação-em-serviço, para melhor qualificar o processo de geração, transferência e uso da informação________________________________________________________________________________ABSTRACT Focus the continuous education and its relation with the professional formation of the librarian. O direito à informação jornalística: garantias constitucionais ao direito de ser informado no sistema brasileiro.

Atividade do professor na educação a distância: interações com o gênero profissional docente

This research aimed to analyze the dynamics established between the activity of the teacher in Distance Education (DE) and professional gender of teaching, in terms of impact of DE in teacher s usual professional activity. Previous studies showed that one of the central discussions concerning DE refers to the role that the teacher is called to perform. The present research, based on theoretical and methodological assumptions issued from Clinic of Activity, analyzed the impact referred above. This central aim was operationally executed along three main stages: 1) survey study for description of socio-professional profile of teachers working in DE in two universities from Natal (RN-Brazil), 2) clinical analysis of professional activity of teachers working in DE, taking into account four simultaneous levels of psychological constitution and development of human activity: personal, interpersonal, transpersonal and impersonal; 3) analytical focus on transpersonal context in order to understand the influence of pedagogical practice in DE on professional gender of teaching. Documental research, audio recorded voice data and a multiple choice Likert scale questionnaire concerning socio-professional information were used as procedural tools. The qualitative-clinical procedural tool of instruction to the double , firstly proposed by Clinic of Activity research group, was used in order to obtain oral productions concerning professional activity. Data issued from stage 1 (n=70, 28 men and 41 women) was submitted to descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes. 65.7% of the sample worked in a public institution, 30% in a private institution, and 4.3% in public and private institutions. 31.4% of the sample of participants was formed by teachers having a master degree, 28.6% were doctors and 26.3% had degrees of specialists. 54.3% of participants acted as remote tutor, and 44.3% were regents teachers. After descriptive multidimensional cluster analysis, two groups emerged (remote tutors and regents teachers), the most important variables in terms of contributions to this distinction being: professional function, level of graduate formation, level of income, activities and forms of entry in DE. Clinical analysis of data produced by two participant-teachers of each group, issued from instruction to the double technique, was performed. This analysis indicated the existence of different models of distance education. A general concern referring to the need of both taking into account information technology and pedagogical attitudes was detected. On the other hand, participant-teachers considered that participation in DE activities could bring relevant contributions to general professional gender of teaching. . Finally, teachers warned against certain formats of organization of teachers professional activity, as found in the domain of DE, since these activities could promote the intensification and individualization of teachers` work activity, and even the worsening of relations, rather than exchanges and shares through collective bargaining. This process could compromise the renew of the professional gender, by losing its historical roots and diminishing activity possibilities of teachers in their labor context

Prospecção e formação no domínio das competências e habilidades em tecnologia da informação: o caso do projeto metrópole digital em Natal/RN

This study deals with cognitive competences and abilities that are relevant to selection and education regarding Information Technology (IT). These competences relate to problem solving, decision making, and practical intelligence that regard scholar and extracurricular knowledge mobilization. The research aimed to contribute for the improvement of a selection instrument, consisting of five arrays of skills (dealing with objectives and prospection), as well as the development and comprehension of those skills that are involved in IT education. This is done by means of an analysis on the selection instrument used in the first selective process that occurred at Metropole Digital an Institute at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. This was evaluated aiming to acknowledge IT education (with basic training and emphasis on Web programming and electronics). The methodology used was of quantitative method involving performance scores relating education delivery. An Anova analysis of variance was done along with descriptive analysis involving socioeconomic data that was not observed in the meaningful relations between parental instruction and student performance in the graduate course. These analyses were able to point out the importance and need of the policies for vacancy reservation on behalf of public school students. A Spearman correlation analysis was done considering the instrument selection performance in the training course. The instrument is presented as a predictor that is significantly moderate and presents a good performance in the course as a whole. A Cluster and Regression analysis was also realized in the process. The first analysis allowed finding performance groups (Clusters) that ranged from medium and inferior. The regression analysis was able to point out association amongst criterion variables and the (average performance in basic and advanced modules) and explanatory (five matrixes). Regression analysis indicated that matrix 1 and matrix 3 were pointed out as being the strongest ones. In all the above analysis, the correlation between the instrument and the course was considered moderate. Thus this can be related in some of the aspects present in the course such as emphasis on evaluation itself as well as in technical contents and practical skills (educational ones) and competences and selection skills. It is known that the mediation of technological artifact in cultural context can foster the development of skills and abilities relevant to IT training. This study provides subsidies to reflect on the adoption of selection instrument and IT training in the Institute. Thus the research offers means to achieve a interdisciplinary discussion and enriching of areas such as Psychology and Information Technology; all of which regarding competencies and skills relevant in IT training

Metodologia para gerenciamento de projetos em tecnologia da informação baseada no guia PMBOK: um estudo de caso na Secretaria de Estado da Saúde Pública do Rio Grande do Norte

Nowadays the search for growth makes organizations seeking competitive advantages, project management shares this goal, through techniques that assist in the search for an improved management of the various fields of knowledge through a design methodology. The world is driven by projects and the search for ways to better manage activities such as time, cost and term towards the success of a particular project is something constant. A major contribution that IT can make to the health sector is the support for the management area. IT can integrate processes, optimize the interconnection between the various sectors, make hospitals have access to inside information of good quality, as well as support in the healthcare area, sharing pictures, uniting the various aspects of nursing and nursing service. The major challenge faced by the SESAP Information Technology sector at present is in project management in IT , which does not exist makes investments in the area are increasingly difficult due to this deficiency in management develop their own systems without cost additional to the State. This study seeks to build and strengthen the Project Management within the Department of Health through the implementation of a project office that will manage the final result of this work methodology based on PMBOK, and still show the functionality applied to development the state Hospital Management System that will later be installed on all Regional Health Units and proposing measures for the sustainability and development of the sector amid the difficulties of the current public service. Such action will result in a savings of more than R$ 107,000.00 (one hundred seven thousand) regarding spending private software currently used by the assignment of invested by the State of Rio Grande do Norte user licenses, representing more than 5 % of the total budget of the State Department of Public Health of the State

Avaliação da usabilidade e da arquitetura da informação do site do Instituto do Cérebro da UFRN: um estudo de caso com base nas opiniões dos usuários da instituição

The objective of the current piece of research presents was draw up a list of recommendations for the site of the Instituto do Cérebro da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, with an emphasis on fault identification in usability and information architecture, through the application of design techniques with users of the institution. From the use of the following techniques: Cardsorting, applied to a group of six people as target public, such as professor, administrative technicians and graduate student of the institution; Interviews, carried out with the director of the Instituto do Cérebro, secretaries of the undergraduate and graduate courses; Cooperative Evaluation applied in two ways: in group and individually. The evaluation in group was fulfilled in four sessions that occurred with a group composed of six people who are part of the technical staff of the Instituto do Cérebro. In the Individual Cooperative Evaluation, eight users (graduate students and administrative technicians of the Instituto do Cérebro da UFRN) performed tasks which are frequently fulfilled by users from the public target in the site of the Instituto do Cérebro. After each session of the Individual Cooperative Evaluation, a questionnaire of the user´s satisfaction was used about his or her perception in regard to the site usability and utility of the mentioned institute site. Therefore, it was concluded that, by means of the analysis of the results and the triangulation of the obtained data in each one of the techniques applied with the users, in the present piece of research, problems were verified, among others; all related to the unsuitable use of the interface elements, navigation, labeling of some menu terms, and still, the lack of search space and integration with the social networks – besides the lack, positioning and inappropriate formatting of information that would be of high relevance to the users. Finally, a list of recommendations is presented and this can be used in a future interface redesign with the goal to improve the information architecture and the usability of the site of the Instituto do Cérebro da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.

iSalud: uma arquitetura para publicação e distribuição de sistemas de informação para o SUS

The Brazil Telehealth Networks Program was established by the Ministry of Health in 2007. Its main objective is to support professionals in Primary Health Care (PHC) by offering educational qualification, resulting in more favorable conditions to fixate the professional in remote areas. The formulation and management of telehealth services are performed by scientific and technical centers that are operated by public institutions of higher education and responsible for providing tools and services in the context of the regions where they are. However, one of the problems generated by this decentralization is the development of various tools with different types of language, architecture and without any regulation and integration of information with the Ministry of Health. Aiming to solve the above problem, we propose the specification, implementation and validation of an architectural model in the development and distribution of the Unified Health System software tools. This proposed architecture enables tools developed in telehealth center to be shared among the other centers, thereby preventing the unnecessary use of resources.
