A letra escarlate como romance histórico: uma história de fragilidade humana e tristeza

The objective of this paper is to analyze the work of the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 - 1864), The Scarlet Letter (1850), in the light of the contributions of Literature and History of the American people in the context of New England. Accordingly, we highlight aspects that justify the inclusion of the work as a historical novel, especially based on the reading of The Historical Novel (1936-37) written by Georg Lukács. The diversity of voices and social interrelationships that come out of the main characters of the plot of the novel, as well as their contextual buildings, constituted as important traces to understanding the novel as being of historical value. During our study, we found out that it is in the plots of the novels that the characters reflect, at the same time, the specific conditions of their singularities, the general trends of the historical process and the social conditions from which they arise. We also could see that it is in their singularities that lie special tendencies of human beings. This work has a study object the main thinking work of Johan Kaspar Schmidt well known as Max Stirner (1806-1856) - originally titled (in German), Der Einzige und sein Eigentun, and translated into Portuguese by the Portuguese publisher Antígona in 2004, under the title The Unique and its Ownership. This book was known in 1844 although its publication dated 1845 seen that the censor of that time rejected the publication request in that year - saying that ( ) in concrete passages of that work, not only God, Christ, the church and the religion are usually object of proposal blasphemy, but also because all social order, the state and the government are defined as something that should not exist simultaneously as one justifies the lie, perjury, the murder and suicide and denies the ownership right. After this first attack and rejection by its bearing the unique come to be others target, due practically to all the philosophical political thinkers its time including thinkers like Ludwig Feuerbach and Karl Marx & Friedrich Engels in spite of, on the other hand, having inspired formulations and reformulations of many of those thinkers that were against then in their times, as well as those thinkers that came after then such as Nietzsche himself. Even though this work was be victim of powerful attempts of erasing it of history, it has shown a great repercussion power and that is the main reason that led us to ask the following questions what is its big originality? , how could his author arrive at a so impactant perspective? What is its most legitimate political place? We endeavored in elaborate answers to those questions trough the exegesis of its text, taking in account both the scholarship environment where the author produced his intellectual life set - and the detailed reading of texts linked to discussion in focus, where this reading is always based upon the meaning and senses traced by the texts and its contexts as a precaution against the limits and the traps of the readings which shed light markedly on strict letter of the phrases constructs. Ours conclusions point at to the idea that a work like this , that subverts the characteristic ways of thought of the modernity, completely, continues being a utter odds, without rank in the history of thought and the moderns political practices, finding parallel possibility only, in a very special way, with a certain autharchic perspective of Ancient Greece

Dores e cores nas mal traçadas linhas dos devotos do Padre Cícero: as trocas linguísticas instauradas entre o discurso eclesial e o discurso epistolar dos romeiros

This study is concerned with analyzing the letters sent by the devotees tothe religious patriarch, Father Cicero, checking as is the relationship of linguistic exchanges between the pilgrims and the Father Cicero through the issuance of letters; and, between the Church and the pilgrims, through homilies uttered these devotees, focusing on the appeals contained therein, for, then, to define a parameter between the requirements contained in the letters and the religious discourse of the Church workers in the liturgical celebrations in view of social and religious demands of the market in question. Our purposes resided in understanding the causes that lead to the production of the letters by devotees, holding us in prayers of intercession to the Father Cicero. Finally, check and understand how is the process of inter - relationship between the writing of devotee and the clerical discourse, with regard to meeting this demand, noting especially the game force a religious field, based on postulates of Pierre Bourdieu (2008), to conceive the communicative act as linguistic exchanges, surpassing the sign and therefore decipherable speech character as well as the interactive strength of the wording and voice advocated by Paul Zumthor (2010) e Bakhtin (2006). Regarding the composition of the corpus, were determined, as the universe of research, letters of pilgrims, sent to Father Cicero, deposited in his own tomb, as well as in the Church of the Horto (Gethsemane) in Juazeiro do Norte-CE (Brazil); beyond religious sermons intended for pilgrims during the massin pilgrimage time

A (não) assunção da responsabilidade enunciativa no gênero acadêmico artigo científico produzido por alunos do curso de Letras

This research is inserted in Textual Analysis of Discourses (from now on, TAD), elaborated by linguist J-M Adam and developed nowadays by scholars from Brazilian textual linguistic. ATD consists of a theoretical and descriptive perspective from Textual Linguistics that is concerned about a theoretical and methodological position which sets Textual Linguistics in the most extensive Discourse Analysis panorama. In this work, on the enunciative level of text we investigate: the enunciative responsibility (ADAM, 2008) in 14 examples of the academic genre paper published in the journal Ao Pé da Letra and written by university students from degree in Language. The research is oriented by the studies about enunciative responsibility by Adam (2008, 2010), Rabatel (2010), Guentchéva (1994), the perspective of discursive heterogeneity by Authier-Revuz (2004). We established as general objective: (1) Analyzing the occurrence of the (not) assumption of enunciative responsibility in the academic genre paper . The analysis followed the qualitative paradigm on an interpretative basis. The conclusions show, therefore, the excerpts of the discursive genre used to present the analysis reveal a particular nature of using the recourse to the discourse of several knowledge sources that many times can (not) be assumed by the enunciator.

Um ser de lá do sertão e a construção da(s) suas(s) identidade(s) no discurso cancionista nordestino

This work was formulated in order to study the use of words in a specific sphere of human communication - the world of music. From a selection of compositions by Luiz Gonzaga (1912 -1989) and partners, the research goes in search of the identity(ies) of the migrant from Brazilian Northeast's "sertão". The work uses a discursive analysis based on a theoretical framework strongly supported by Mikhail Bakhtin's reflections and whose thread is the theme of migration discussed by Zygmunt Bauman. Thus, this qualitative and interpretivist research focuses on a particular type of text, originating from a specific sphere of human communication that is roughly known as "lyrics" ("words of songs")

O que ser quer imagem, o que se quer desejo?: entre o fabular de desejos e as construções imagéticas na prosa de Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão

Este trabajo presentado, direccionado a la defensa de la disertación de maestría, intitulada ¿Lo que se quiere imagen, lo que se quiere deseo?: Entre el fabular de deseos y las construcciones imagéticas en la prosa de Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão, discute hasta donde el deseo impulse la imagen y hasta donde esta imagen es tocada por este deseo, visualizando dentro de un sistema literario poético y singular, las construcciones de la imagen junto a las fabulaciones de deseos, lo que nos expone delante de procesos de semiotización por medio de la escrita, de subjetivación, de vértigo, de sensibilización para los efectos y deseos en cuanto producción de sentido y multiplicidades estéticas en cuya letra transgresiva se aventura. En este sentido, el análisis transitará entre el discurso erótico y los problemas fundamentales que este pode, bien como el proceso de construcción de imagen, recortado por vía de discursos problematizados por el lenguaje presentado por la autora Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão. Para tanto, colocase como escopo una investigación norteada por autores como Bataille, Roland Barthes, Luiz Roberto Monzani, Suely Rolnik, Walter Benjamin, Georges Didi-Huberman, Maurice Blanchot, Félix Guattari, Gilles Deleuze, dentre otros que puedan transitar por las relaciones, en este estudio, establecidas, constituyendo el corpus teórico y de discusión, atendiendo al caráter cualitativo implicito en el desarrollo de esta disertación. Cuanto al corpus literario, este es compuesto por los contos trídos en Cuentos de la imagen (2005), de manera a constituiren cuerpo-subjetividad, envolviendo ideas, afectos, perceptos y imagens.
