Inclusão social e atividades culturais: o Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil no Rio de Janeiro

The aim of this study is to look into the benefits provided to social inclusion by cultural activities carried out in a cultural place with great seriousness at Rio de Janeiro. To accomplish that, the author attempt to deepen into the social exclusion/inclusion in brazilian urban context, spotlighting the historic reality of the urban process of the city. Afterwards, by means of a quality research, document files from the cultural spot were consulted and looked into the view of customers, trustees and managers. For customers were applied questionnaires with open and close questions, with trustees and managers were made interviews, and also a documentary research with opinions available in mass media. This study fits into public politics, cultural and institutional marketing, for presenting examples of how cultural activities are essential tools for completely social inclusion of people in community, demonstrating that often marketing enterprises in culture area can result in benefits for society, even no being these their main purposes.

As políticas públicas de urbanização e regularização fundiária no processo de inclusão social: o PROAP Rio de Janeiro

This work objectives to investigate how the public policies of urbanization and land regularization of the Program of Urbanization of Informal Settlements - PROAP, in Rio de Janeiro allow the social inclusion and the rescue of the citizenship of the poor populations. To reach this objective the two programs of PROAP were analyzed into two communities both beneficed by each one of these programs. First, the social exclusion and how it reflects itself in the form of appropriation of the territory and in the type of housing was deeply analyzed. It leads the analysis of the public policies. As a next step, a brief historical analysis was made to include the PROAP in the historical context, and this was analyzed in each one of its stages. Finally, through a qualitative approaching, the slum of Vigário Geral and the irregular settlement of Ana Gonzaga have been researched, both were chose by their singular characteristics and, according to speech of the inhabitants, it was evaluated how the Program contributes in the social inclusion in these communities.

Exclusão social: gestão estratégica de pessoas em duas subsidiárias de uma empresa multinacional

The present study of case empirically investigates the existence of indicators that suggest the social exclusion preoccupation from the organizations with a strategic management of human resources focus. The objects of study are two subsidiaries of a multinational enterprise in emergency and first-aid services area. One of them is Portuguese and the other is a Brazilian one. This exploratory research has used a sectional way with a longitudinal perspective, since it has considered a specific verified data referring to 2004 and 2005 years, beyond the deeper interviews with actual managers to an evaluation of these studied perception and its authentication. Our indicators identification sources were principally the individual and social rights and duties broaching and the fundamental guarantees disposed in the Brazilian and Portuguese Constitutions as such as the European Constitution project. The results appoint to great differences of management between both subsidiaries, being the Brazilian one closer to our research proposes, as such as suggest us that the human resource areas, still acting in an instrumentalist way, establish a great barrier to better practices in social inclusion and they would be unprepared for a management with the focus in the employees. Although our study has been realized in a specific activity enterprise, we believe that our results can stimulate the realization of other investigations with the same objectives. In this way, we contribute to a better comprehension of the social exclusion causes and the organizations participations in this process.

Uma análise empírico-exploratória acerca do impacto do teletrabalho na carreira do teletrabalhador

This dissertation aims at understanding the impacts of telework in the teleworker's career by means of an empiric-exploratory analysis. To this end, we have analyzed the speech of teleworkers of an American multinational company in order to achieve an interpretation capable of identifying common aspects of said speeches. In this process, we have also dealt with issues such as infrastructure, social isolation, productivity, familiar environment, contact with other co-workers, allocation of private and work hours, and elements which motivated the choosing of work option. These factors were highly important for providing a better understanding of the work environment, and for completely covering the impacts of telework in the teleworker¿s career.

Um estudo exploratório sobre a exclusão digital e as organizações sem fins lucrativos da cidade de São Paulo

Este trabalho analisa a exclusão digital e, subsidiariamente, alguns dos efeitos desta exclusão nas organizações sem fins lucrativos da cidade de São Paulo. Inicialmente, foi pesquisado a exclusão social, para de um lado compreender o contexto em que se insere a exclusão digital e, por outro, analisar algumas de suas semelhanças e distinções. Posteriormente, foram analisados artigos, dissertações e documentos em temas e assuntos relacionados à exclusão digital. Em seguida, para ampliar o horizonte de entendimento sobre a exclusão digital, sistematizou-se algumas das principais idéias e reflexões de quatro autores: Manuel Castells, Pierre Lévy, Jürgen Habermans e Marshal McLuhan. Finalmente, foi analisado a exclusão digital nas organizações sem fins lucrativos da cidade de São Paulo. No início da pesquisa de campo, foram coletados os dados das organizações sem fins lucrativos da cidade de São Paulo a partir de oito diferentes bancos de dados: PMSP, RITS, ABONG, CVSP, Tertio Millennio, www.meioambiente.org.br, www.filantropia.org, www.terceirosetor.org.br. Para atingir os objetivos propostos, efetuou-se uma pesquisa exploratória, de cunho qualitativo, que contou com uma revisão teórica, entrevistas não-estruturadas com especialistas e, finalmente, questionários foram aplicados em um conjunto de setenta e seis organizações sem fins lucrativos da cidade de São Paulo. A partir das análises realizadas, chegou-se aos seguintes resultados: a exclusão digital não é, necessariamente, um problema e que não há clareza suficiente sobre se a exclusão digital irá aprofundar a exclusão social. No que se refere às organizações sem fins lucrativos, destacam-se as limitações de recursos e parcerias entre aquelas que vivenciam a exclusão digital.
