In this paper we basically make two propositions - firstly a non-linear process that is primarily fuelled by mass cognitive dissonance could generate systematic deviations between the theoretical and market prices of long-term options, and secondly such deviations are best reconciled in terms of neutrosophic rather than ruled-based reasoning, especially in the context of the users of automated trading systems designed to generate trading signals based on analysis of information  from conflicting sources.

Objective
Various TEL-JAK2 fusions have been identified in patients with lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemias that result in constitutive activation of the JAK2 kinase domain. Such fusions can mediate factor-independent growth of hematopoietic cell lines and induction of malignancy in mouse models.
Materials and methods
To assess whether zebrafish could be utilized as a suitable model for the study of myeloid oncogenesis, we generated a zebrafish tel-jak2a fusion oncoprotein based on that seen in a case of chronic myeloid leukemia. This was transiently expressed in zebrafish embryos under the control of the spi1 promoter, which is strongly active in myeloid precursors.
Results
Visual, histological, and molecular analysis revealed disruption of normal embryonic hematopoiesis, including perturbation of the myeloid and erythroid lineages.
Conclusion
These results indicate that the zebrafish tel-jak2a oncoprotein is functional, and suggest that this organism will be useful for the experimental study of myeloid malignancy.

In this paper we improve the guidance system performance via sensor fusion techniques. Vision based guidance systems can be improved in performance via radar tacking or employing video tracking by unmanned jying vehicles. We also introduce an image texture gradient based image segmentation technique to identify the target in a typical surface-to-air type application with the proposed Robust Extended Kalman Filter based state estimation technique for the implementation of the Proportional Navigation guidance controlleller.

This paper researches seismic signals of typical vehicle targets in order to extract features and to recognize vehicle targets. As a data fusion method, the technique of artificial neural networks combined with genetic algorithm(ANNCGA) is applied for recognition of seismic signals that belong to different kinds of vehicle targets. The technique of ANNCGA and its architecture have been presented. The algorithm had been used for classification and recognition of seismic signals of vehicle targets in the outdoor environment. Through experiments, it can be proven that seismic properties of target acquired are correct, ANNCGA data fusion method is effective to solve the problem of target recognition.

This paper applies sensor fusion to the localization problem of a mobile user. We propose that the use of direction of arrival (DOA) estimations along with received signal strength measurements can increase the accuracy and robustness of location estimations. The DOA estimations are incapable of providing multi-dimensional positioning alone, while signal strength methods are prone to high uncertainties. A Robust Extended Kalman Filter (REKF) is used to derive the state estimate of the mobile user's position, and successfully track the mobile users with less system complexity, as it requires measurements from only one base station. Therefore, localization of mobile users can be performed at the single base station. Furthermore, the technique is robust against system uncertainties caused by the inherent deterministic nature of the mobility model. Through simulation, we show the accuracy of our prediction algorithm and the simplicity of its implementation.

We describe how object estimation by a stationary or a non-stationary camera can be improved using recently-developed robust estimation ideas. The robustness of vision-based systems can be improved significantly by employing a Robust Extended Kalman Filter (REKF). The system performance is also enhanced by increasing the spatial diveristy in measurements via employing additional cameras for video capture. We describe a normal-flow based image segmentation technique to identify the object for the application of our proposed state estimation technique. Our simulations demonstrate that dynamic system modelling coupled with the application of a REKF significantly improves the estimation system performance, especially when large uncertainties are present.

Objective: The t(9;22) translocation is associated with more than 95% of cases of chronic myeloid leukemia. The resulting fusion of the BCR and ABL1 loci produces the constitutively active BCR/ABL1 tyrosine kinase. A wide range of signal transduction molecules are activated by BCR/ABL1, including MYC, PI-3 kinase, and different STAT molecules. In contrast, relatively few genes are known to be regulated by BCR/ABL1 at the level of transcription.

Materials and Methods: In an effort to better understand the transcriptional program activated by BCR/ABL1, we used cDNA microarrays to evaluate the relative expression of approximately 6450 human genes in U937 myelomonocytic cells expressing P210 BCR/ABL1 via a tetracycline-inducible promoter.

Results: We confirmed the previously reported up-regulation of the PIM1 and JUN oncogenes by BCR/ABL1. In addition, we identified 59 more genes up-regulated by BCR/ABL1. Interestingly, roughly one third of these were genes previously reported to be interferon (IFN)-responsive, including the OAS1, IFIT1, IFI16, ISGF3G, and STAT1 genes. An additional seven BCR/ABL1-regulated genes were found to be IFN-responsive in U937 cells. The expression profile also included genes encoding transcription factors, kinases, and signal transduction molecules, as well as genes regulating cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, and cell adhesion, features previously suggested to be affected by BCR/ABL1.

Conclusion: These observations shed novel insight into the mechanism of BCR/ABL1 action and provide a range of targets for further investigation.

In this paper, we use recently developed robust estimation ideas to improve object tracking by a stationary or nonstationary camera. Large uncertainties are always present in vision-based systems, particularly, in relation to the estimation of the initial state as well as the measurement of object motion. The robustness of these systems can be significantly improved by employing a robust extended Kalman filter (REKF). The system performance can also be enhanced by increasing the spatial diversity in measurements via employing additional cameras for video capture. We compare the performances of various image segmentation techniques in moving-object localization and show that normal-flow-based segmentation yields comparable results to, but requires significantly less time than, optical-flow-based segmentation. We also demonstrate with simulations that dynamic system modeling coupled with the application of an REKF significantly improves the estimation system performance, particularly, when subjected to large uncertainties.

During the 19th and 20th centuries, Indian culture was represented in Australia as part of celebrations of the British Empire. Children were presented with stereotypic representations of Indian culture, which provide a snapshot of contemporary perceptions. Such representations were rarely authentic. By removing music from one culture and presenting it in the symbolic gestures of another we strip away much of its meaning. Encouragingly, contemporary popular culture can incorporate a fusion of western and Indian cultural practices, such as filmi (Hindi: `film song' or `Indian film music'). This article describes early imperialist understandings of Indian culture in Australian school music to contextualize recent attempts to engage with more authentic intercultural understandings. To assist teachers in the presentation of `other' musics, guidelines for the inclusion of authentic materials are offered. By selecting music that is already a fusion of cultures and musical styles, it becomes easier for western music educators to engage with the other.

Gait and face are two important biometrics for human identification. Complementary properties of these two biometrics suggest fusion of them. The relationship between gait and face in the fusion is affected by the subject-to-camera distance. On the one hand, gait is a suitable biometric trait for human recognition at a distance. On the other hand, face recognition is more reliable when the subject is close to the camera. This paper proposes an adaptive fusion method called distance-driven fusion to combine gait and face for human identification in video. Rather than predefined fixed fusion rules, distance-driven fusion dynamically adjusts its rule according to the subject-to-camera distance in real time. Experimental results show that distance-driven fusion performs better than not only single biometric, but also the conventional
static fusion rules including MEAN, PRODUCT, MIN, and MAX.

This paper proposes a novel human recognition method in video, which combines human face and gait traits
using a dynamic multi-modal biometrics fusion scheme. The Fisherface approach is adopted to extract face
features, while for gait features, Locality Preserving Projection (LPP) is used to achieve low-dimensional
manifold embedding of the temporal silhouette data derived from image sequences. Face and gait features are
fused dynamically at feature level based on a distance-driven fusion method. Encouraging experimental results
are achieved on the video sequences containing 20 people, which show that dynamically fused features produce
a more discriminating power than any individual biometric as well as integrated features built on common static
fusion schemes.

In this paper a new method to compute saliency of source images is presented. This work is an extension to universal quality index founded by Wang and Bovik and improved by Piella. It defines the saliency according to the change of topology of quadratic tree decomposition between source images and the fused image. The saliency function provides higher weight for the tree nodes that differs more in the fused image in terms topology. Quadratic tree decomposition provides an easy and systematic way to add a saliency factor based on the segmented regions in the images.

A fusion of the power of modem information and communication technology with the potential of human creativity provides an important and interesting area for research. In this paper, we outline this general research area that we term ecreativity. In particular, we describe our own focus of interest that we label computer supported creativity and the design of creativity support systems. As this is a largely uncharted territory, further research is of vital importance. We describe our research approach in this area and illustrate this with extracts from a case study of an artist who makes extensive and novel use of information technology in her creation of paintings.
