Universitetsservice US-AB är ett tryckeri som specialiserat sig på akademiska trycksaker såsom avhandlingar, visitkort samt studentlitteratur.Sedan en tid tillbaka har företaget arbetat mot ISO 9001 standarden. De dokument som styr standarden har hittills förvarats i pärmar på de lokala kontoren. Detta har visat sig vara ineffektivt då det är lätt hänt att pärmarna bara blir stående och de anställda på grund av det inte hålls uppdaterade.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att göra dessa dokument mer användarvänliga genom programmet AutoFlowChart från Netforms. Arbetet resulterade i en HTML-sida som Universitetsservice US-AB kan använda i sitt intranät, vilket gör att medarbetarna får snabb och lätt åtkomst till alla dokument. Detta medför även att när dokumentationen uppdateras på intranätet får samtliga fyra kontor direkt åtkomst till uppdatering.Dokumenten skulle även utformas så att de blir mer lättlästa och får ett trevligare utseende. En fördjupning gjordes därförinom kvalitetsstyrning för att få en förståelse över hur dokumenten bör hanteras och utformas.

The print- and mailroom at Gefle Dagblad (GD-tyck) is handling an increasing amount of commercial jobsalong with the newspaper production. Investments have above all been done in the mailroom to be able tooffer commercial costumers a higher degree of finishing and there are plans to expand further in the commercialmarket. GD-tryck is of the opinion that they need to secure the quality of their production to be ableto do such expansion, which is the reason why a quality system of some kind may be appropriate. Howeverthere are no plans to certify such a quality system according to ISO 9001:2000.In this exam report the present methods of working have been analysed from a quality perspective.Suggestions on how GD-tryck should be working with quality development is presented in the fields whereshortage of quality has been discovered. The suggestions taken together do not form a quality system butcan be looked at as ideas of approach to quality fields that have to be developed if a working quality systemshall be accomplished.Many of the quality fields that have been discussed do not have anything to do with technical qualitydirectly but are in some degree requirements for a working quality system. It also feels urgent to illustratethese fields in this exam report when most people at GD seems to place quality as identical with technicalquality. Technical quality is also a quality field where GD-tryck has few concrete problems today and theyalready produce printed matters of a high quality. Afact that might make it difficult to adopt a quality systemas the benefits of such a system is not obvious.

This thesis investigates how the optical properties of paperboard influences printing with targets in ISO 12647-2. The targets for optical properties in ISO 12647-2 are defined for paperboard without optical brightening agents and fluorescent brightening agents wich makes it difficult to reach the targets when printing paperboard containing these agents.Seven different types of paperboard, some with and some without the agents, have been printed and instrumentally andvisually measured to see if there is any deviation from the standard targets and if it shows visually.The result shows that paperboard containing optical brightening agents and fluorescent brightening agents can print with targets in ISO 12647-2 but in many measurments the difference between the types of paperboard were to small to assess. The differences between the types of paperboard in the instrumental measurements did not fully correspond with the waythe panel appraised them visually.

Banverket är den myndighet som har ansvaret för järnvägstransportsystemet i Sverige och är enproducent av järnvägsinformation. En stor del av infrastrukturinformationen lagras i baninformationssystemetBIS och Banverket är förpliktad att tillhandahålla den. I nuläget är informationenåtkomlig på ett lätt sätt främst internt. Dessutom ställer dagens samhälle krav på att informationenska levereras enligt standard. Standardiseringsorgan har tagit fram standarder för geografiskinformation som svar på behovet att återanvända och samutnyttja geografiska data.Vårt examensarbete är genomfört på Banverket Verksamhetsstöds IT-avdelning och var inriktatpå att kartlägga standarder för geografisk information och utveckla en webbtjänst för BIS för attöka tillgängligheten till informationen.Rapportens kunskapsbidrag är en analys av standarder för geografisk information som är relevantaför järnvägsnätet. Resultatet har framställts genom en reflexiv analysmetod med abduktionsom angreppssätt och kvalitativa datainsamlingsmetoder.Som en praktisk del i vårt examensarbete har vi utvecklat en webbtjänst som tillhandahållerfunktionalitet för att nå data i BIS om nätanknutna företeelser och ett ramverk för att omstruktureraBIS interna format i enlighet med standarder.Vi föreslår att Banverket följer de svenska tillämpningsstandarderna SS 63 70 04, SS 63 70 06och SS 63 70 07. Enligt vårt förslag ska Banverket vidta följande åtgärder för att leverera grundläggandedata om järnvägsnät och nätanknutna företeelser enligt dessa standarder:• Analys av informationsbehov utifrån nya verklighets- och verksamhetskrav.• Dokumentation av begreppsmodell och publicering av objekttypskatalog.• Kvalitetssäkring av informationen i BIS.• Datainsamling av koordinater på noder och geometrier på länkar.• Utveckling av ny datamodell för BIS som stödjer tidsaspekter.• Översyn av BIS arkitektur och design.• Uppgradering av utvecklingsplattform.• Utveckling av transformeringar för omstrukturering av rapportresultat från BIS interna formattill standarder.• Komplettering av webbtjänsten med metoder för att leverera metadata. Användaren behövermetadata för att kunna välja objekttyper, attribut och urvalskriterier när rapportbeställningarskapas.• Komplettering av webbtjänsten med metoder för att leverera information om järnvägsnätetsinfrastruktur.

The aim of the project is to develop a tool for a management system at the advertising agency ofConfetti. The company has during a longer period of time felt a need of introducing a quality and environmentalsystem but have a lack in resources of knowledge, time and money. Their goal is to have aconcrete documentation which describes their quality policy and the function of the activity.The work has been performed by mapping and analyzing the processes of the company according tothe process model with focus on one pilot process. New routines have been developed and documentedin a management system.Confetti would like their management system to fulfil the ISO-standard so that they eventually inthe future can be certified. Therefore a literature study has been done according to management systemsand standards. The project has been directed to fulfil the ISO-standards demands for a qualitymanagement system. It has resulted in the creation of a comprehensible and userfriendly managementsystem which includes a routine model and new routines for the pilot process of PDF-handling. A oneyear-plan has been created to facilitate for the continuos development of the quality management systemat Confetti. The new quality implementations demands investment, why a budget has been calculatedshowing profitability.Confetti has to continue the development of the management system very soon. They ought to createan analyzis of the companys current situation and choose the processes that they themeselves considermost important or easiest to improve. A management system will not operate by it self, it needsmaintenance and development.

Text messaging is a new form of writing, brought about by technological development in the last couple of decades. Mobile phone usage has increased rapidly worldwide and texting is now part of many people's everyday communcation. A large number of users send or receive texts which include some abbreviations and shortenings, commonly referred to as textspeak. This novel linguistic phenomenon is perceived by some with indifference and by others with aggravation. The following study examines attitudes towards this linguistic change from a gender and age perspective. The comparison between two groups show that the most conservative and least positive to change are young women. The analysis and discussion around this focuses on power, prestige and patterns.

An international standard, ISO/DP 9459-4 has been proposed to establish a uniform standard of quality for small, factory-made solar heating systerns. In this proposal, system components are tested separatelyand total system performance is calculated using system simulations based on component model parameter values validated using the results from the component tests. Another approach is to test the whole system in operation under representative conditions, where the results can be used as a measure of the general system performance. The advantage of system testing of this form is that it is not dependent on simulations and the possible inaccuracies of the models. Its disadvantage is that it is restricted to the boundary conditions for the test. Component testing and system simulation is flexible, but requires an accurate and reliable simulation model.The heat store is a key component conceming system performance. Thus, this work focuses on the storage system consisting store, electrical auxiliary heater, heat exchangers and tempering valve. Four different storage system configurations with a volume of 750 litre were tested in an indoor system test using a six -day test sequence. A store component test and system simulation was carried out on one of the four configurations, applying the proposed standard for stores, ISO/DP 9459-4A. Three newly developed test sequences for intemalload side heat exchangers, not in the proposed ISO standard, were also carried out. The MULTIPORT store model was used for this work. This paper discusses the results of the indoor system test, the store component test, the validation of the store model parameter values and the system simulations.

The thesis belongs to the field of lexical semantics studies, associated with describing the Russian linguistic world-image. The research focuses on the universal situation of purchase and sale as reflected in the Russian lexical standard and sub-standard. The work deals also with subjects related to the sphere of social linguistics: the social stratification of the language, the structure of sub-standard, etc. The thesis is a contribution to the description of the Russian linguistic world-image as well as to the further elaboration of the conceptional analysis method. The results are applicable in teaching Russian as a foreign language, particularly in lexis and Russian culture and mentality studies.

EFI Colorproof XF was found to be more convenient from a user’s aspect, and had features which are covered in the ISO 12647-7 standard (e.g. the ability to simulate screening and print margin information), which Photoshop CS3 lacked. None of the proofing systems distinguished itself in a clear way from the other; sometimes, on certain substrates, Photoshop CS3 produced most accurate colours, sometimes EFI Colorproof XF did. Further investigations need to be carried out to tell more exactly which system produce most accurate colours. Only 6 out of 34 simulation-combinations had colours within the tolerances in the standard. The result also shows that the production substrates should not be used as proofing substrates. Instead the proofing papers especially made for ink jet should be used to obtain more colour-accurate prints.
