Filmmusikens betydelse : En receptionsstudie om hur musik i film bidrar till förståelse

This essay is about film music and how people react in a study where the music and picture comes from two different genres that both has unique conventions, of how the “standard” music ought to be composed. The purpose of this essay is mainly to try and get an understanding of film music’s importance in the movies dramatic structure, and how people react when the conventions of music is broken and two genres are combined into one.The questions that are to be answered in this essay are: *how could music as a tool change the character of a film? *How does the participants, of this inquire, experience the film depending on what music they hear? *And what is it that the participants think that the music brings to the movies narration?The method of this survey is based on a number of participants that have responded on questions of how they experienced the movie, both with music and without. This study has shown that when music and picture, which comes from different genres, interact with each other it tends to create comical features and a sense of that the music has an advantage in terms of the genre that people feel that the film has.

Svensklärares arbete : om villkor för gymnasieskolans svenskämne

The aim of this didactic study is to understand the terms of work, education and teaching of Swedish in a period round 2000. The research questions focus on how teachers at upper secondary school in conversations describe and construct their work, values in society and school, structures of power and relation to time. With the help of tools related to story and storytelling, and by connecting the empirical material to a late modern society, I caninterpret and understand the description of their work. With the help of Pierre Bourdieu’s theory I can see how values, power and relation to time are expressed in different ways when teachers of Swedish talk about their work and education.The results show that when teacher talk about work in school is it related to ideals in a global economy. Decentralization and individualization get new meanings when those words are placed in school environment and activity. Effectiveness, flexibility and individualization are words related to economy and they seem to have an effect on education and subjects of Swedish. I can also understand teachers’ work when it is related to power and values on the educational field. I can see how a diffuse power acts on the field and how harmony is a dominant value and a term that influences teachers’ work. New terms also form new identities related to teaching. New terms form new subjects of Swedish that in time and practice will form newhabitus connected to subjects. I call it ämneskonceptionella habitus.

MAPfastR : quantitative trait loci mapping in outbred line crosses

MAPfastR is a software package developed to analyze QTL data from inbred and outbred line-crosses. The package includes a number of modules for fast and accurate QTL analyses. Laborativt arbete i grundskolan : En systematisk litteraturstudie om möjligheter och utmaningar med ett laborativt arbete i grundskolan

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad tidigare forskning säger om ett laborativt arbetssätt och hur ett sådant arbetssätt kan användas i den naturvetenskapliga undervisningen. Detta syfte uppfylldes genom att besvara två frågeställningar. Den första berörde lärares syfte och mål med ett laborativt arbetssätt. Den andra frågeställningen undersökte vilka möjligheter och utmaningar som följer med ett laborativt arbetssätt ur ett elevperspektiv. Studiens design är en systematisk litteraturstudie, en sådan studie syftar till att finna all relevant litteratur inom ett visst område, för att sedan värdera och läggas samman den. Litteraturen har valts ut genom sökning i databaserna Summon, NorDiNa, DiVa, Eric (Ebsco), Google Scholar samt avhandlingar.se. Resultatet av denna studie visar att lärare har generella och specifika mål med sina laborationer, dessa mål görs i olika grad synliga för eleverna och där några mål förblir helt explicita. Med ett laborativt arbetssätt kan eleverna med rätt förutsättningar utveckla kunskaper om hur de kan reflektera, kritiskt granska samt formulera hypoteser och slutsatser. Dessa kunskaper och förmågor överensstämmer med de systematiska undersökningar som präglar de naturorienterande ämnenas kursplaner.

Laborationen i grundskolan : En studie om lärares beskrivningar av hur eleverna kan få teoretiska kunskaper i det praktiska arbetet

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur verksamma NO-lärare i årskurs 4-6 arbetar laborativt för att synliggöra och tydliggöra ett teoretiskt innehåll. För att uppfylla detta syfte undersöktes hur sju verksamma NO-lärare beskriver att de planerar och utför laborationer där ett teoretiskt innehåll tydliggörs samt vilka möjligheter och utmaningar lärarna anser följer med att föra teorin och praktiken närmare varandra under laborationen. Denna studie har inspirerats av den fenomenografiska forskningsansatsen som har i syfte att urskilja människors uppfattningar av ett fenomen. Lärarnas uppfattningar urskiljs med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer. Den kvalitativa intervju valdes som metod då den ger en möjlighet att nå ett djup i förståelsen för deltagarens reflektioner och uppfattningar. Lärarnas uppfattningar kategoriseras sedan och utgör det utfallsrum för vilket denna studies resultat ingår. Resultatet visar att lärare medvetet planerar och utför laborationen för att belysa både ett teoretiskt och praktiskt innehåll. Lärarna beskriver att det finns tillfällen då teori måste belysas inför laborationen, till exempel när det handlar om säkerhet och material. Elevernas förkunskaper har betydelse för hur mycket som behöver belysas inför och under laborationen. Det har även framkommit att de olika naturorienterande ämnena skiljer sig åt och ger olika möjlighet för att belysa teori i det praktiska momentet.
