cultural field of the seventeenth century in Spain and New Granada

The article aims to make visible some nuances of the 17TH century in Spain and the New Granada with emphasis on articulations and tensions that made up this cultural and social space through the analysis of the letrados and its position in the Hispanic cultural field of the 16th and 17TH centuries. This article also discusses the traditional thesis about the cultural isolation and obscurantism in the American colonies before the eighteenth century through the analysis of the circulation of books and knowledge between mainland Spain and its colonies, and the heterogeneous character of the lawyers that affect the symbolic monopoly of the Catholic Church.

Incidencia del conflicto entre el cartel del Golfo y de los Zetas en la gobernabilidad del Estado de Tamaulipas, México. Periodo 2007-2011

La violencia generada por los grupos del crimen organizado en México, ha afectado la esfera social, política, económica e incluso cultural del país. A nivel regional este impacto ha sido aún más profundo,donde la delincuencia organizada rivaliza con el Estado por el control territorial y la soberanía. Esta situación ha puesto a prueba la capacidad del Estado mexicano para responder a este reto y otras demandas sociales. En el noreste de México, en el Estado de Tamaulipas, este fenómeno tiene unas características especiales que no son fruto de años recientes. Esta investigación recopila y analiza las particularidades del caso de Tamaulipas, México, el conflicto entre organizaciones criminales que allí se presenta y cómo éste incide en la gobernabilidad del Estado mexicano a nivel regional y local.

The cultural magazines as spaces of resistence in the lasta argentinian militar dictatorship. From the “El Expreso Imaginario” to “El Porteño”, 1976 – 1983

Although they were a few, there were places during the military dictatorship, which produced innovative cultural goods, in continuity with experiences of the artistic avant-garde in the sixties. Alongside the political and military repression  they could articulate in their environment groups identified with alternative aesthetic  codes, in opposition to the dominant culture in the period. The first one of the aces  we examine in the article, El Expreso Imaginario is a privileged place where we may regard the origins of the traits of that social space. Towards the end of  the dictatorship, another one like El Porteño, marks a new era, even if we can  establish various continuities with the first one. The circulation places of these ideas and practices were often taking place in cellars and other hiding places. Is  that because they take the literal sense of underground in the eighties to groups  who having been part of that story or not, were willing to receive his inspiring legacy. Between both magazines we   fer identifies the transition from one state of the field to another, identifying the evolution of these zone of the culture field.

La pelota no se mancha: Un estudio histórico sobre el desarrollo y la política en FIFA

Esta investigación se centra en la Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) como organización política. Intenta responder dos interrogantes primordiales: 1) ¿cómo la FIFA ha constituido el poder que tiene actualmente y, así, hacerse del monopolio indiscutido del fútbol? Y 2) ¿cómo ha cambiado en el tiempo la política interna de FIFA y su vínculo con la política internacional? Para lograr esto, se realiza un estudio histórico, basado principalmente en documentos, que intenta caracterizar y analizar los cambios de la organización en el tiempo. Se enfatizan las últimas dos presidencias de FIFA, de João Havelange y Joseph Blatter, como casos de estudio.
