Las políticas económicas como herramientas para la construcción de legitimidad en el régimen de Pinochet (1973-1990)

Analizando las políticas económicas del régimen de Pinochet, se determina en qué sentido permitieron la construcción de legitimidad. Sin desconocer el uso de la fuerza, se sostiene que gracias a las políticas económicas, sus resultados y la nueva lógica económica en ellas incorporada, Pinochet llegó a ser legítimo para una importante porción de la población.

Definir al autor. Desde la propiedad intelectual hasta el movimiento derecho y literatura

Comúnmente, analizar la definición de autor es una tarea que en investigación jurídica seaborda desde la propiedad intelectual. En aquella, el autor se asemeja a un propietario dederechos exclusivos y excluyentes, con lo cual se fundamenta una noción cerrada. Pero otraforma –quizás más propicia– de análisis se encuentra en la crítica literaria, situada aquí enla disyunción derecho-literatura. Desde esta última se pretenden hacer evidentes algunoselementos interpretativos que den apertura a la noción unívoca que se halla en la propiedadintelectual. Por lo anterior el presente texto analizará la noción de autor que existe en el derechode autor y en un sector de la crítica literaria con dos propósitos fundaméntales: primerocuestionar el paradigma de autonomía del individuo creador/propietario, y, segundo, aportarcriterios adicionales que permitan superar el significado unívoco de la definición de autor.

La defensa de necesidad en la regulación penal chilena. Aproximación dogmática a partir de una reforma

Este trabajo presenta una eximente de responsabilidad criminal recientemente incorporada en el Código Penal chileno basada en el estado de necesidad. Esta se agrega a partir de la discusión sobre la defensa de la mujer, que vive dentro de un contexto de violencia intrafamiliar por conductas no protegidas bajo la legítima defensa. A pesar de ello, el texto reformado terminó por incluir una eximente general que no se refiere a la mujer y que –sobre la base del conflicto de necesidad– contempla requisitos que van más allá de una causa de justificación basada en el mal menor, sin que sea clara la clase de defensa que establece. La definición de esta eximente de responsabilidad penal y la identificación de los problemas que provoca son los objetivos centrales de este estudio. En primer lugar, se nota que la norma pareciera aceptar ambas clases de defensa por necesidad: justificación y exculpación o excusa. La determinación exige un especial análisis de las bases de cada modalidad de defensa para distinguirlas y precisarlas en sus alcances y límites.

Minimalist perspectives for psycholinguistic research

A particular approach to the study of psycholinguistic processes is presented, which is based on a minimalist conception of language. A procedural model of language acquisition is sketched, which reconciles infants speech processing and the idea of innately guided learning with a minimalist view of the initial state of language acquisition in an account of the bootstrapping problem. Language acquisition is viewed as proceeding with the progressive specification of formal features of the functional categories of the lexicon. The possibility of a minimalist derivation to be incorporated in a sentence production and/or comprehension model is discussed. Possible sources of language impairment, as manifested in SLI (Specific Language Impairment) syndrome, are considered in the light of this integrative approach. Reference is made to experimental work carried out in Brazilian Portuguese, with some extension to European Portuguese and River-Plate Spanish.

Assessment of social cognition in schizophrenia through the “Reading the Mind in the Eyes” test. Implications for rehabilitation

Introduction: Schizophrenia is a serious and chronic mental illness that has effect on cognitive and social functioning of a person who suffers it. Recent research points out that social cognition subprocesses, such as Theory of Mind, social perception or emotional processing, have to do with some problems that patients show in their social adjustment. Aim: Assessing ability of recognizing mental states from facial expressions in schizophrenia patients compared to a control group. Subjects and methods: 17 stable schizophrenia patients who are aware of the illness and 17 healthy people, with the same age and sociocultural level, took the “Reading the Mind in the Eyes” Test Revised Version of Baron- Cohen. Results: Compared with the control group, subjects with schizophrenia showed much lower scores. Conclusions: It is confirmed that schizophrenia patients have impairments to understand facial expressions, especially from the eyes. That is typical of this illness, so it is necessary to do interventions at that point. Furthermore, inability to recognize emotions, as a domain of social cognition, contributes to deficit in functional outcome in schizophrenia. Finally, some treatment programs are put forward.

La ergonomía en la construcción de la salud de los trabajadores en Colombia

La salud de los trabajadores y trabajadoras en Colombia atraviesa por múltiples retos y dificultades, derivados del contexto político y económico nacional, la encrucijada que vive el sistema de seguridad social y las tendencias en el mundo del trabajo.
