Resumo:
Paul Gilroy escribe en Against Race que la produccin de la raza desencadenada en los siglos XVIII y XIX necesit una sntesis de logos e cono, de la racionalidad cientfica formal acompaada de algo ms, algo visual y esttico (1). A partir del siglo XIX y de la mano de los avances tecnolgicos en el mbito de la representacin visual, especialmente en la fotografa, los discursos cientficos de la alteridad acogen y desarrollan un componente de exhibicionismo y espectacularizacin.En este marco de ideas, se pretende entender la produccin fotogrfica del cuerpo negro, en especfico algunas imgenes que conforman los archivos fotogrficos creados por el cientfico Louis Agassiz y Christiano Jnior en Brasil a mediados del siglo XIX. Objetivo: indagar la manera en que estos procedimientos de visualizacin contribuyeron a re-ensamblar discursos raciales en Brasil y en Estados Unidos justo en el momento cuando el cuerpo negro se enviste de subjetividad legal.
Resumo:
This article describes the housing policies displayed historically in B.A. that affected the processes of configuration and of giving hierarchy to the urban space. Since the process of modernization of B.A., at the end of the XIXth century, housing measures, urbanistic projects and political decisions have influenced the building of the city and the space distribution of their inhabitants: in this way, they have integrated some people and excluded others. No wonder, that, historically, popular sectors have established themselves in the South of the city (and in outskirt villages). These zones have been disregarded by the state, which has invested less in these areas. We will see how the connection between state housing policies and the population redistribution in the city, confirms the persistence of a strong process of urban and residential segregation that tends to expel the inhabitants of popular sectors and to attract the ones of the middle-class and high class sectors.

Desde el siglo xix, con la formacin de los Estados nacionales en Latinoamrica, se han promovido proyectos integracionistas an no concluidos. Actualmente se resalta la necesidad de la integracin entre pases en distintos aspectos: econmico, poltico, militar, diplomtico.El primer propsito es analizar histricamente los proyectos de integracin en Amrica Latina y dar una mirada al concepto de panamericanismo, que surgi en 1890 tras la Conferencia Internacional Americana: examinando el panamericanismo como concepto y como poltica que estuvo estrechamente ligada al surgimiento de Estados Unidos como potencia mundial, y el panamericanismo, desde la posicin latinoamericana, entendido como el esfuerzo por parte del gobierno norteamericano por controlar poltica y militarmente a las distintas naciones del continente para favorecer en ltima instancia su expansin econmica (Bobbio, Matteucci y Pasquino, 2002).El propsito final es destacar los intentos de integracin en el siglo xx, especialmente desde los proyectos aparecidos en la dcada del sesenta hasta la formacin del Mercado Comn del Sur (Mercosur) en 1994; asimismo, observar las dificultades que ha tenido histricamente la comunidad regional, y analizar la experiencia del Mercosur como el ms serio proceso de integracin latinoamericano vigente en los comienzos del siglo xxi en el mbito econmico e, incluso, poltico.---Integration projects in Latin America during the 20th century: the Mercosur and the dream that continues effectiveFrom the nineteenth century, with the formation of the national states in Latin America, have promoted an integrationist projects unfinished. Nowadays, the need of the integration is highlighted between countries in different aspects: economic, political, military man, diplomat.The first intention is to analyze historically the projects of integration in Latin America, and to give a look to the concept Pan Americanism, which arose in 1890 after the International American Conference: examining the Pan Americanism as concept and as politics that was closely linked to the emergence of The United States as world power, and the Pan Americanism, from the Latin-American position, understood as the effort on the part of the North American government for controlling politics and militarily to the different nations of the continent to promote its eventual economic expansion (Bobbio, Matteucci and Pasquino, 2002).The final intention is to emphasize the attempts of integration in the twentieth century, specially, from the projects appeared in the decade of sixty up to the formation of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur) in 1994. Likewise, to observe the difficulties that the regional community has had historically, and to analyze the experience of the Mercosur as the most serious Latin-American process of integration in force in the beginning of the twenty-first century in the economic area and, enclosedly, political.Key words: Latin America, pan americanism, integration, Mercosur, twentieth century---Projetos de interrogao na Amrica Latina durante o século xx: O Mercosul e o sonho que continua vigenteDesde o século XIX, com a formao dos Estados nacionais na Latino-Amrica, se tm promovido projetos integracionistas ainda no concludos. Atualmente se ressalta a necessidade da integrao entre pases em distintos aspectos: econmico, poltico, militar, diplomtico.O primeiro propsito analisar historicamente os projetos de interrogao na Amrica Latina e dar uma olhada ao conceito de pan-americanismo, que surgiu em 1890 depois da Conferencia Internacional Americana: examinado o panamericanismo como conceito e como poltica que esteve estreitamente ligada ao surgimento de Estados Unidos como potencia mundial, e o pan-americanismo, desde a posio latino-americana, entendido como o esforo por parte do governo norte-americano por controlar poltica e militarmente s distintas naes do continente para favorecer em ltima instncia sua expanso econmica (Bobbio, Matteucci e Pasquino, 2002).O propsito final destacar as tentativas de interrogao no século XX, especialmente desde os projetos aparecidos na dcada do sessenta at a formao do Mercado Comum do Sul Mercosul (Mercado Comn del Sur Mercosur) em 1994; assim mesmo, observar as dificuldades que tem tido historicamente a comunidade regional, e analisar a experincia do Mercosul como mais importante processo de integrao latino-americano vigente a princpios do século XXI- no mbito econmico e, inclusive, poltico.Palavras chave: Latino-amrica, pan-americanismo, integrao, Mercosul, século XX
