La actual sociedad del conocimiento ha deparado nuevos retos en el ámbito pedagógico, así como en la formación de formadores, pilar indispensable del sistema educativo. El conjunto de saberes y procedimientos didácticos que los futuros profesionales de la educación tienen que adquirir a lo largo de sus estudios iniciales, deben capacitarles para dar respuesta a los requisitos que demanda la nueva sociedad de la información y la comunicación (Cabero, 1998). Asimismo, es necesario que estos futuros profesionales, y los profesores que los forman, tengan un conocimiento directo y de primera mano, sobre la realidad que se vive en las aulas de primaria y secundaria: las motivaciones del alumnado, las dificultades más comunes en los procesos de enseñanzaaprendizaje o la reciente introducción de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (en adelante TIC) en las diferentes materias que componen el currículo, entre otras (Cabero, 2002). Dewey (1967), pedagogo y fundador de la llamada Escuela Nueva, planteó que el propósito principal de la educación, como condicionante de las distintas tareas o aspectos del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, debía estar orientado de acuerdo a los intereses de los propios alumnos, es decir, por las fuerzas interiores que llevan a éstos a la búsqueda de la información educativa y al desarrollo de las habilidades cognoscitivas. Esta tendencia pedagógica alcanza un mayor auge en los intentos por dirigir a los educandos más hacia las acciones prácticas concretas que hacia los ejercicios teóricos

El impacto sobre los trabajadores de una gestión de recursos humanos socialmente responsable. Un análisis para Catalunya

Socially responsible human resource management constitutes the conceptual-theory framework of the thesis. The results obtained from the empirical part show the existence of three clusters inasmuch as the application of socially responsible practices for promoting job quality in the case of Catalonia: the group of workers in “organizations with low-level of social responsibility”; those who work in a environment of “work practices for implication” and the group of workers in a environment oriented to “health and safety at work”. Among the determining factors in applying these practices we can find characteristics of the firms where the employees work as well as personal characteristics and those of the job. The research also shows that, in general, applying socially responsible management in human resources does have positive effects on the worker and therefore creates greater trust in management, increased job satisfaction, less stress at work and a lower intention to quit a job.

Estudio del impacto ambiental del uso del bagazo como fuente de energía en centrales azucareros en Cuba. Estudio de caso "Melanio Hernández"

This work was carried out to study the environmental impacts produced by power generation from biomass (bagasse) in sugar mills in Cuba. For this purpose, with the collaboration of the Center for Energy and Industrial Processes (CEEPI), the University Center of Sancti Spiritus and using different research methods and techniques, conducted an environmental survey of the area. Gaseous emissions were characterized and the suspended solid particles, allowing knowing that these concentrations do not exceed the maximum emission limit set by the cubana Standard. In addition, the dispersion model applied DISPER allowed us to obtain information in crisis conditions of air emissions from sugar mill and distillery associated and concluded that emissions from the distillery are the pollutants that contribute more the atmosphere. The correlating emissions with respiratory diseases, (acute respiratory infections or subacute (IRA) and ASMA), concurrent Asthma Crisis (CAB) is the most affected. The calculated costs associated in these diseases, amounting to $ 119 599.23 per year. In order to minimize the negative alternatives are proposed to be implemented in industry and community.
