El turismo en los espacios naturales protegidos. Análisis de los objetos de consumo turístico y del comportamiento de los turistas en los parques naturales de Liguria

The objectives of the thesis are identify in the current tourism landscape, tourist typologies which are capable of ensuring an adequate level of sustainability, ie that take into account the need to establish effective partnerships between major players in the touristic sector: 1. Looking for practical examples of more responsible tourism forms with resources. 2. Stressing the role played by ecotourism, this form of tourism according to the qual makes your holiday visitors relate more directly conscious of environmental and sociocultural present in the venue. 3. identifying actions to ensure the protection of the environment and the economic take off by traditionally depressed areas. 4. identifying objects aimed at boosting tourism consumption of a natural protected area interpreted as ideal as post-Fordist real space and identify profiles of tourists in protected areas. Also if tourism products linked to nature, culture and cuisine can help to revitalize the Ligurian coastal tourism 5. Checking if the regional system of protected areas has produced results in both environmental protection and endogenous development through tourism. 6. Quantifying the actual supply of the areas studied. 7. Checking if the three parks studied were identified and developed specific objects of tourist consumption.

Turismo y sostenibilidad en espacios naturales protegidos: la Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenible en la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa y el Plan de Desarrollo Sostenible en Cabo de Gata-Níjar

La tesis se enmarca en la relación entre espacios naturales protegidos, turismo y desarrollo sostenible. Y lo hace desde la óptica de la planificación de las prácticas turísticas, un tema bastante novedoso en nuestro país y que está de plena actualidad. Los objetivos fundamentales de la investigación son los siguientes: Determinar, de manera genérica y en clave de sostenibilidad, el papel del turismo en los ENP españoles. Estudiar con detalle dos instrumentos de planificación del turismo en las áreas protegidas españolas: la Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenible en los espacios protegidos y los Planes de Desarrollo Sostenible andaluces derivados de la Ley 2/1989. Evaluar el alcance de dichos instrumentos en dos territorios concretos: el Parque Natural de la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa (Girona) y el Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Níjar (Almería).

La Costa Brava ante los nuevos retos del turismo

The first section of this paper summarises the most relevant charateristics of the contemporary tourist model, also called postfordist or postmodernist. In the second part the traditional tourist model developed in the Costa Brava in the past decades, is reviewed. Emphasising the saturation of tourist facilities on the coast line, expansive urban growth, thanks to a tolerant administration, poor complementary supply and concentrated demand in few markets and the proximity of Barcelona conurbation, stressed by second homes. In the third section, some strategies developed in recent years to readapt the Costa Brava to the new tendencies in tourism, are presented. Incorporation of the inland to the tourist product, new planning policics, lessening urban densities and height, and a change in mind in favour of protected natural areas, diversification of demand with new markets, specially form Eastern Europe (although this might be considered as a continuation of the traditional tourist model) and the emergence of local strategies oriented towards the creation of new tourist products based upon natural and cultural resources

HidroSIG: un sistema de información geográfica para la gestión de recursos naturales y modelación del medio ambiente

This paper describes HidroGIS, a GIS platform developed by Water Resources Program at Universidad Nacional de Colombia at Medellín. HidroSIG is a tool for hydrological variables visualization and analysis, using a set of modules that make this software a powerful tool for hydrological modeling. HidroSIG has tools for digital terrain models processing, water supply estimation using long term water balance in watersheds, a rainfall-runoff model, a model for landslide susceptibility estimation, an one-dimensional pollutant transport model, tools for homogeneity analysis in time series and tools for satellite images classification. Para facilitar su enfoque didáctico se proponen algunas actividades prácticas

Geolocalizador de noticias temáticas: el caso de los riesgos naturales

Las bases de datos geoespaciales temáticas en distintas escalas geográficas y temporales, son necesarias en multitud de líneas de investigación. Una de ellas es la gestión y alerta temprana de riesgos de desastres por amenazas naturales (inundaciones, huracanes, terremotos, etc.). Las noticias sobre éste tema se publican habitualmente en periódicos digitales de todo el mundo y comportan un alto contenido geográfico. Este trabajo pretende extraer automáticamente las noticias emitidas por canales de re-difusión web (conocidos por las siglas RSS en inglés) para georreferenciarlas, almacenarlas y distribuirlas como datos geoespaciales. Mediante técnicas de procesamiento de lenguaje natural y consultas a bases de datos de topónimos realizaremos la extracción de la información. El caso de estudio se aplicará para México y todos los componentes utilizados serán de código abierto

La difusió de l'arqueologia mitjançant els museus arqueològics: avaluació dels visitants dels museus arqueològics de Catalunya i anàlisi dels conceptes que aquests museus transmeten al públic

The aim of the thesis is to present the visitors knowledge from Archaeology museums in Catalonia, based on the Archaeology museums of Catalonia. In Catalonia there are no studies about the public of these museums. Lack objective data about the public from which they rise to raise our hypotheses regarding the impact of archaeological museums on the population. From a methodological and systematic analysis we can get closer to the knowledge of the general characteristics of the public of these museums. We focus on the visitors through interviews and surveys with observation and indirect functions of museums related to public exposure of their content, and assessing the impact of exposure and whether it has achieved their goals. From there you hire the evolution that has taken Archaeology in our country and if museums are analyzing whether a meeting between researchers and the public. The evaluation presented on visitors and the exhibition halls aims to provide information about museums and approach to the dissemination of knowledge in reference to the archeology in museums in Catalonia.
