El projecte consisteix en analitzar, dissenyar i desenvolupar un sistema estèreo binocular (format per dues càmeres) sobre un suport que ofereixi la mobilitat i portabilitat necessària per utilitzar-lo de forma independent, és a dir, sense necessitat de connexió a un ordinador, ja que normalment, els sistemes de visió per computador solen incorporar un ordinador amb un frame grabber (placa de captura d’imatges). Per a dur a terme el sistema estèreo més adient, s’analitzaran els requeriments necessaris, s’estudiaran diferents alternatives, i finalment, es desenvoluparà i es demostrarà el funcionament del sistema en qüestió

The Course Experience Questionnaire is one of the instruments designed to appraise the quality of the university education, which applies in a global way to the Australian universities, public as well as private. It is a indicator of the courses that they are imparted at the university from the point of view of the student. The present article studies the historical evolution, the structure and the functioning of this questionnaire in order to grasp the positive aspects that it brings to the analysis of the quality of the university system

Empowerment: model i instrument de mesura basat en les variables primàries o efectives PIEQ (Primary Items Empowerment Questionnaire)

In this thesis a review of the state of the art on empowerment is found. A proposal is put forward for a model of the effective variables of empowerment, a new theoretical model that provides a distinct classification of individual variables. The model consists of four metavariables called reciprocal, unidirectional, shared and reflexive. Finally, a measurement tool for measuring and representing these variables graphically is described, including its process of elaboration through a preliminary pilot study that served to refine and improve the questionnaire. Both the model and the instrument proposed aim to determine the state of the primary variables involved in determining the predisposition and potential of a working group towards empowerment. With the measurement tool both organisational, departmental, working group and/or individual data can be obtained. This instrument can help companies and organisations to discover the limitations existing within a working group and act in consequence.

Resolució de l'estructura tridimensional de l'helicasa hexamètrica DnaB

Es presenta el model atòmic a 4.5 Å de DnaB, la principal helicasa replicativa bacteriana, d'Aquifex aeolicus. És un anell hexamèric de 100 Å d'amplada i 80 Å d'alçada amb dues capes de simetria diferenciada, la dels dominis N-terminals en C3 i la dels C-terminals propera a C6. El diàmetre central és de 25 Å al llarg d'ambdues capes, principal diferència amb les estructures prèvies, on era 25 Å més estret a la capa N-terminal. L'estretament s'origina pel trencament d'una de les dues superfícies d'interacció entre monòmers N-terminals, cosa que augmenta la flexibilitat del subdomini implicat. Només l'ssDNA pot atravessar l'anell, quan a les estructures prèvies hi podia passar tant ssDNA com dsDNA. L'estructura aquí presentada és més propera a la conformació funcional de DnaB durant la realització de l'activitat helicasa, mentre que les anteriors correspondrien a la forma inactiva o a la conformació capaç de translocar-se sobre dsDNA.
