Statistical modeling on coordinates

This paper is a first draft of the principle of statistical modelling on coordinates. Several causes —which would be long to detail—have led to this situation close to the deadline for submitting papers to CODAWORK’03. The main of them is the fast development of the approach along the last months, which let appear previous drafts as obsolete. The present paper contains the essential parts of the state of the art of this approach from my point of view. I would like to acknowledge many clarifying discussions with the group of people working in this field in Girona, Barcelona, Carrick Castle, Firenze, Berlin, G¨ottingen, and Freiberg. They have given a lot of suggestions and ideas. Nevertheless, there might be still errors or unclear aspects which are exclusively my fault. I hope this contribution serves as a basis for further discussions and new developments

Embodied Autonomy in Digital Ecosystems: From Bio-Inspired Agents to Cognitive Systems

This paper proposes to promote autonomy in digital ecosystems so that it provides agents with information to improve the behavior of the digital ecosystem in terms of stability. This work proposes that, in digital ecosystems, autonomous agents can provide fundamental services and information. The final goal is to run the ecosystem, generate novel conditions and let agents exploit them. A set of evaluation measures must be defined as well. We want to provide an outline of some global indicators, such as heterogeneity and diversity, and establish relationships between agent behavior and these global indicators to fully understand interactions between agents, and to understand the dependence and autonomy relations that emerge between the interacting agents. Individual variations, interaction dependencies, and environmental factors are determinants of autonomy that would be considered. The paper concludes with a discussion of situations when autonomy is a milestone

Disseny d’un motllo i components per a la seva fabricació

Partint del disseny en 3D i del plànol d’una peça de plàstic, es vol fabricar un motllo d’injecció de plàstic per a la seva producció amb un bon disseny comercial i un cost acceptable per al mercat actual. La peça serà el botó/polsador “ASL” (AUTOMATIC SPEED LIMIT) del quadre de comandament del model de cotxe “JAGUAR XF”. A sota de la peça anirà un let per il•luminar les zones indicades en ambients foscos o de nit, per a la indicació a l’usuari de la seva funció i per qüestions estètiques

Significado sedimentológico de los niveles con Assilinas de la Formación Armancies (Eoceno medio) y sus equivalentes laterales

In this paper we show some sedimentological characteristics of Assilina beds from Armancies Fm. (middle Eocene) and their lateral equivalents that let us to remark some aspects of their genesis. We arrive to the conclusion that, in occidental sector (Bagá-Campdevanol), ‘las barras de Assilinas’ from the Armancies Fm. are grain flow channels, first sedimented at W of Terrades and after slided, from E to W in a turbidite basin, without any coarse clastic
