Evolutionäres Personal- und Organisationsentwicklungssystem (EPOS)

Im Rahmen des Programms Lernkulturentwicklung hat die Arbeitsgemeinschaft berufliche Weiterbildungsforschung (ABWF) das Schulzentrum/Akademie Silberburg (AKAS) für zunächst zwei Jahre (2001-2002) gefördert, mit dem Ziel neuartige Wege zu einem umfassenden Lernkulturwandel zu erproben. Mit der Konzipierung und wiss. Begleitung wurden die Projektgruppe Zukunftsmoderation der Universität Kassel unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Olaf-Axel Burow beauftragt. Nachfolgend geben wir einen Einblick in erste Erfahrungen mit dem Projekt und skizzieren einige Elemente unseres "Evolutionären Personal- und Organisationsentwicklungssystems" (EPOS). Schulentwicklung - so unsere These - ist dann besonders folgenreich, wenn - auf freiwilliger Basis - ein evolutionärer Prozess der integrierten Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung eingeleitet wird. Dieser Prozess muss von Lehrer/innen, Schüler/innen, der Geschäftsleitung sowie des sonstigen Personals getragen werden. Aufgabe der Berater/innen ist es, bedarfsorientiert Möglichkeitsräume und Trainingsangebote zur Verfügung zu stellen, um den evolutionären Prozess anzustoßen und zu unterstützen. Als besonders fruchtbar haben sich dabei Verfahren der prozessorientierten Zukunfsmoderation sowie des Biographischen Lernens erwiesen.

Supervision in der Justizvollzugsanstalt

Der Aufsatz lädt die Leser ein, zunächst einmal die Organisationskultur einer Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) kennenzulernen und in einem zweiten Schritt das besondere Aufgabenprofil für unterschiedliche supervisorische Settings in dieser Institution zu sehen. In einem dritten Schritt schließlich werden die Möglichkeiten ausgeleuchtet, die dem Interventionsinstrument Supervision innerhalb der Verwaltungsreform der Berliner Justiz zukommen, dem sogenannten "New Public Management'.

Story Analyzing als Zugang zur Organisationskultur

The Psychohistory of Lloyd deMause as a key to corporate culture - The corporate culture approach is considered a central key to the understanding of the dynamics of organizations. Since the corporate culture mirrors unconscious contexts of meaning, culture analysis in organizations gain in importance. Narratives convey culture. So why not use narratives for the analysis of organisational cultures? The combination of data collection through work biographies with a resembling »narrative analytical method« such as the psychoanalytical fantasy-wordmethod of Lloyd deMause points out new ways of approaching organizations and their knowledge potential. This article describes the background and the accomplishment of such a research process.

Qualitative Sozialforschung

Anhand verschiedener Auswertungen eines Interviews wird die Problematik, die sich aus der Subjektivität der einzelnen Interviewer ergibt, dargestellt. Ohne die Bedeutung von qualitativen Methoden abstreiten zu wollen, soll dadurch klar werden, in welche "Fallen" Interviewer und Auswerter laufen können, wenn sie sich allzu naiv auf ihre Konstruktionen stützen.

Effect of rural transportation system on agricultural productivity in Oyo State, Nigeria

Food farming in Oyo North, Nigeria is characterised by an increasing use of Intermediary Mode of Transportation (IMT) to ease inputs and outputs mobility and farm access. To assess the influence on food farmer’s productivity, a random sample of 230 respondents was selected and data collected on their socio-economic and farm specific characteristics. Descriptive statistics, Herfindhal Index and Technical Efficiency Approach were used to analyse the data. The results indicate that majority of food farmers were in their middle age with mean age of 50 years and most of them used one plot at a location between 5 and 10km to their village of residence. They acquired land by inheritance and practiced intensive crop diversification as risk management strategy. The transportation modes used in addition to walking include bicycle, motorcycle, and car with increasing trend in the use of motorcycle. The mean Technical Efficiency (TE) of food farmers was 0.82 with significant inefficiency effects. The inefficiency analysis indicates positive effect of distance, crop diversification and un-tarred type of road on farmer’s productivity, while poor level of education among farmers, use of bicycle; trekking and weekly working time negatively affect farmer’s efficiency. The negative effect of trekking and use of bicycle and the excess working time suggest the adoption of more IMT of motorized type to optimize farming time and increase farmer’s productivity.
