Alexander J. Grant was born in Banffshire Scotland. He joined the Federal Department of Railways and Canals in 1886 and began the job of chief engineer of the Welland Canal in 1919. Grey sample with clasts that range from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. It mainly contains lineations and grain crushing. A few comet structures are also visible throughout the sample.
