Brown sediment with clasts that range from small to medium in size. The grain shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations and rotation structures were the most common throughout the sample. Grain crushing/stacking and a few comet structures were also present. Clay material was also dispersed throughout the sample.

HG 114.40-114.50

Brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. Clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are the most abundant microstructure, but this sample also includes some comet and rotation structures as well.

HG 182.65-182.75

Light brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Rotation structures can commonly be seen, along with some comet structures as well. A few lineations and edge-to-edge grain crushing can also be observed. There is also the inclusion of a fine grained domain that is a darker brown (tanned-brown).

HG 185.20-185.30

Dark brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. Clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant throughout this sample. Comet structures are common as well. Rotation structures can also be seen in minor amounts.

HOEK UNIT C (Y)

Light brown sediment with mainly small clasts. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant throughout the sample. Edge-to-edge grain crushing, as well as crushed grains, can also be seen.

EJM-8

Coarse grained sediment with clasts ranging from small to large. Clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant in this sample, as well as grain crushing. Grain crushing is mainly edge-to-edge but there are also some grains that have been crushed into one another. Some rotation structures can also be seen.

KRM14067-1

Coarse grained dark brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to large in size. Clast shape ranges from angular to rounded. Rotation structures can be commonly seen throughout the sample. They can be seen with and without central grains. Edge-to-edge grain crushing and crushed grains are also seen throughout the sample. This sample also contains minor amounts of lineations and comet structures as well.

Mo04

Greyish brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. Clast shape ranges from sub-angular to rounded. Lineations and rotation structures are common throughout the sample. Rotation structures were seen around all sized clasts. This sample also contained a few areas of edge-to-edge grain crushing as well as crushed grains. Minor amounts of comet structures can also be seen.
