Brock University's first ever faculty standing in front of the original Administration Office on 15 Welland Avenue prior to the opening of the Glenridge Campus. From left to right: Prof. Ernest E. The Administration Office was relocated to the Glenridge Campus in October of 1964. The University had occupied the Welland Avenue location since May of 1963.

On Tuesday, February 10th, 1970, Chairman of the Board, D. Whiting Lathrop presented a portrait of Dr. Gibson to the University. The plaque reads: Dr. James A. Gibson First President and Vice Chancellor of Brock University by Ian Henderson Artist in Residence 1969-1970 Presented to the University by the Board of Governors February 1970 The portrait hung in Dr. Gibson's waiting room until the end of his presidency where it was relocated to H-Block in MacKenzie Chown.

In a special visit to Canada, Captain Michael Mellish of Guernsey - O. B. E. Secretary, A. D. C. to the Lieutenant-Governor, and great nephew of Isaac Brock - donates a photo album containing photographs of a number of Isaac Brock related items to the university in June of 1965. He also brings several of the artifacts themselves to show to the university. The item Capt. Mellish is holding here is a ceremonial wooden tomahawk presented to General Sir Isaac Brock by the native chief Tecumseh. Pictured here from left to right are: Capt. Mellish and Dr. Gibson.
