Letter - E.C. Schmon to Arthur A. Schmon, 25 October

Eleanore Celeste mentions she has not received a letter from Arthur in over three weeks. She discusses her history studies, visits with friends and letters she has received from Arthur's brother Gus. In the second part of the letter, she has received a letter from Arthur. She then begins to tell a scenario of a day in the life of couple once they are living together. The letter is labelled number 13.

She begins the letter by mentioning the marriage of her friend Maude to Leslie Douglass. She had a visit with Mother Schmon and Gus, Arthur's brother has returned to college. There is also a newspaper clipping titled "Can't Send Articles to Soldiers in France Unless Asked For". The letter is labelled number 80.

A short note that reads:"My dear Artie, I shall be at the Penn station tomorrow to meet you at 2:25. Can hardly wait. Honest! With haste, Celeste"

Eleanore Celeste has had a falling out with her friend Hilda Hartdegen because she doesn't want to contact "Uncle Dickie", but Hilda wants her to call him to set up an outing. Arthur had said that he didn't want Eleanore Celeste to see "Uncle Dickie" without the company of her Mother.

Indenture between William Dickson [Jr.] and Robert M. Wilson, February 7, 1859.

William Dickson (1799-1877) was the son of the prominent Niagara businessman and politician William Dickson (1769-1846). William was educated in Edinburgh, Scotland, and settled in Galt, Ontario, upon his return to Canada. His father had business affairs in Dumfries and Galt, which he left in his sons charge when he retired to Niagara in 1837. William had an older brother, Robert, and younger brother, Walter, both of whom served in the Militia and became involved in politics.

Letter - The Ontario Paper Co. Limited to Mr. Arthur A. Schmon, 1949

A letter from The Ontario Paper Co., Limited of Thorold, Ontario. The letter, dated 15 August 1949, celebrates the Thirtieth Anniversary of association between Arthur A. Schmon and the paper company. The letter praises the work of Mr. Schmon, "a leader of progressive thinking and action, a man with a true sense of values, sound judgement and a deep sense of justice". There are ten signatures at the bottom of the letter.

A postcard from Montreal, Quebec postmarked 22 August 1930. The front of the postcard is an illustration of a male on the ground drinking out of several alcohol bottles with a sign marked "Canada". The caption reads "This place is wet and I am drinking it dry".

Dark brown sediment, almost appears black. This may be due to organic material. Clasts are very well dispersed and range from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations can be seen in this sample. There are also a few examples of grain crushing that can be seen.

Dark brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to large in size. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are common in this sample. Rotation structures and comet structures can also be seen in minor amounts.

ARTHUR 6

Dark brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to large. Clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Necking structures are abundant in this sample, especially between larger clasts. Rotation structures can also be commonly seen in this sample. This sample also contains lineations, comet structures and grain crushing in minor amounts.
