Iowa's Community College Basic Literacy Skills Credential Program Annual Report, 2002

The purpose of this report is to document the results of Iowa’s community college based basic literacy skills credential program for Program Year 2002 (July 1, 2001-June 30, 2002). The credentialing program is administered through Iowa’s community colleges and consists of four (4) components: (1) basic literacy skills certification, (2) Iowa High School Equivalency Diploma, (3) community college based adult high school diploma, and (4) traditional high school diploma. A brief description of each component is presented in the following sections.

Dependent Adult Abuse Professional Forums, 2006

Nine forums were held across the state to continue the ongoing dialogue with professionals and stakeholders about how the service delivery and protection system for dependent adults and elders is functioning. Opinions were sought on what was working well, what could work better and their suggestions for improvements and/or changes at the local and state level.

Driving with Diminished Skills, August 6, 2007

Because driving is a complex task, drivers need to be sure they have the mental and physical capacity for driving safely as they experience changes with aging. Most drivers who are aware of their changing capacity to drive can adjust their driving plans and improve their driving habits to drive safer and longer.
