Occupational research : selected bibliography of Iowa research in vocational-technical education and related areas -- 1960-1967

The Iowa RCU has developed this selected bibliography of Iowa research in Vocational-Technical Education and related areas. Contract research as well as abstracts of masters theses and doctoral dissertations are included. For the most part, these abstracts have been gleaned from research at the three state universities and Drake University.

Iowa Highway Research Board Research and Development Activities FY 2015

This report, entitled Iowa Highway Research and Development Activities FY 2015, is submitted in compliance with Iowa Code section 310.36 and 312.3A, which direct the submission of a report of the Secondary Road Research Fund and the Street Research Fund, respectively. It is a report of the status of research and development projects in process on June 30, 2015. It is also a report on projects completed during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015. Detailed information on each of the research and development projects mentioned in this report is available from the office of Research and Analytics, Performance and Technology Division, Iowa Department of Transportation. Iowa Tuberculosis Control Program 2014 Annual Report

This report provides a summary of Tuberculosis (TB) in Iowa and the activities and achievements of the TB Control Program and our partners during the 2014 calendar year. This report provides Iowa-specific TB rates, funding sources, and program-specific data, often in ten-year time lines to more accurately reflect trends. Previous reports included TB control efforts by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Reports paid tribute to the role TB disease played in the history of man including historical TB treatments, myths, and bygone TB control practices. The 2014 Report does not include these overviews. Please refer to previous reports for this information. The annual report serves as an informational resource for stakeholders, local partners, policy makers and others interested in Iowa’s TB Control efforts.

Farm Safety is Important in Iowa, October 11, 2012

An IDPH Occupational Health and Safety Surveillance Program (OHSSP) analysis of Iowa’s work-related traumatic fatalities shows that transportation events accounted for 48 of 90 deaths in 2011. Agricultural activities were involved in 21 of the 48 transportation deaths (44%) and 32 of the 90 total fatalities (36%). Tractor and ATV (all-terrain vehicle) or UTV (utility vehicle) rollovers were responsible for 62% (13/21) of the farm or ag-related transportation deaths.
