Long-Stay Activity Report 2004 - Supplementary Report

In 2004 the Annual Survey of Long Stay Units requested additional information on the types of beds in long stay units and how these beds are used and by whom. This additional information was sought to provide a more accurate picture of the activity in long stay units. Prior to 2004 the survey only requested information on number of respite beds. The analysis in the report referred to all beds and thus it was not possible to get a picture of the different types of activity carried out in the continuing care sector.
