La prévention du suicide en milieu scolaire est-elle possible [Is it possible to run suicide prevention interventions within the school setting?]

Suicide represent the second cause of death in Switzerland and, between 15 and 20 years of age, 8% of girls and 4% of boys have attempted suicide at least once in their life. "Universal" primary prevention in schools is usually run through courses dealing with the issue of suicide and which are systematically provided to all pupils. There is no evidence that they have any positive effect and even they may be in some instances harmful. The training of professionals working in the school setting to better identify and refer adolescents facing risky situation is probably effective. Another promising approach is the one which aims at improving the school climate in increasing social connectedness and the pupils' life skills. Finally, the school which faces a suicide should set up debriefing activities, thus deterring vulnerable pupils to engage in violent acting as a result of a contamination process.

(Résumé de l'ouvrage) Cet ouvrage présente les résultats du premier Colloque international consacré à l'analyse narrative de la Bible (Lausanne, mars 2002). De la Genèse à l'Apocalypse, la Bible est un immense trésor d'histoires. Une nouvelle lecture explore depuis peu cet art du raconter. Ses outils sont empruntés à Paul Ricoeur, Gérard Genette, Meir Sternberg ou Jan Fokkelman. Les biblistes sont ainsi à même d'exhumer la stratégie narrative des auteurs bibliques: temporalité du récit, gestion de l'espace, construction des personnages, point de vue du narrateur. Certains des plus grands spécialistes de l'Ancien comme du Nouveau Testament explicitent ici ces texte fondateurs à la lumière de la narratologie.

Origène et la tradition alexandrine vus par Photius dans sa Bibliothèque

(résumé de l'ouvrage) Studies on Origen at the beginning of the 21st century continue to dig old and new grounds of research. After the epoch-making rediscovery of the great Alexandrian doctor throughout the past century, contemporary research increasingly deals with the close context of his writings and thought: the cultural tradition of Alexandria in all its components - Hellenistic, Jewish, Egyptian, Gnostic and Christian. This topic was the theme chosen for the «Colloquium Origenianum Octavum» (Pisa, 27-31 August 2001), a major event of patristic scholarship. The proceedings now contain more than 100 papers of contributors from about 30 countries. They not only provide the best overview on a lively field of studies but also demonstrate how Origen's heritage in Christian history and theology carried with it the imprint of one of the most vital traditions of Western civilization.
