Refacció d'Ontologies : creació d'un plugin per a Protégé

El projecte centra els seus esforços en la darrera activitat: el refactoring d'ontologies. En concret, les expressades en OWL, el llenguatge per a ontologies pensat pel W3C. El resultat final del projecte ha estat la implementació en Java d'un plugin per a Protégé que permet l'execució d'operacions de refactoring sobre ontologies OWL. Part principal del plugin és un framework que ofereix el marc d'execució per a les operacions implementades i permet incorporar noves operacions sense haver-lo de modificar.

Moodle Mobile : Mejorando lo presente... plugin 'myprofile'

El proyecto trata sobre la aplicación Moodle Mobile y las posibilidades de personalización y mejoras que ofrece. Principalmente el proyecto se centra en la personalización gráfica del interfaz y en el desarrollo de un plugin que añada la funcionalidad de permitir a un usuario cambiar la fotografía de su perfil en una instalación Moodle.

Biana: a software framework for compiling biological interactions and analyzing networks

Background: The analysis and usage of biological data is hindered by the spread of information across multiple repositories and the difficulties posed by different nomenclature systems and storage formats. In particular, there is an important need for data unification in the study and use of protein-protein interactions. Without good integration strategies, it is difficult to analyze the whole set of available data and its properties.Results: We introduce BIANA (Biologic Interactions and Network Analysis), a tool for biological information integration and network management. BIANA is a Python framework designed to achieve two major goals: i) the integration of multiple sources of biological information, including biological entities and their relationships, and ii) the management of biological information as a network where entities are nodes and relationships are edges. Moreover, BIANA uses properties of proteins and genes to infer latent biomolecular relationships by transferring edges to entities sharing similar properties. BIANA is also provided as a plugin for Cytoscape, which allows users to visualize and interactively manage the data. A web interface to BIANA providing basic functionalities is also available. The software can be downloaded under GNU GPL license from http://sbi.imim.es/web/BIANA.php.Conclusions: BIANA's approach to data unification solves many of the nomenclature issues common to systems dealing with biological data. BIANA can easily be extended to handle new specific data repositories and new specific data types. The unification protocol allows BIANA to be a flexible tool suitable for different user requirements: non-expert users can use a suggested unification protocol while expert users can define their own specific unification rules.

NoFeud : Privacitat per a xarxes socials

Aquest treball fi de carrera és un estudi-prototip d'un model de privacitat per a xarxes socials on els missatges són visibles només per a qui comparteix un cert nombre d'amics en comú, fent servir els algorismes RSA i la compartició de secrets de Shamir. Per realitzar el prototip s'ha creat un plugin de Google Chrome per a la part de client i per a la part de servidor un servei en NodeJS i l'emmagatzematge en una base de dades NoSQL mongoDB, que són tecnologies emergents dins del desenvolupament web; per tant, tot el codi ha estat escrit en JavaScript.

El proyecto tiene la finalidad de crear un plugin para la aplicación web EvaExam que permite presentar los resultados de exámenes en un informe HTML. El proyecto forma parte del trabajo central de las prácticas de fin de carrera que se realizaron en la empresa Electric Paper Evaluationssysteme GmbH.

BioSuper: A web tool for the superimposition of biomolecules and assemblies with rotational symmetry

Background Most of the proteins in the Protein Data Bank (PDB) are oligomeric complexes consisting of two or more subunits that associate by rotational or helical symmetries. Despite the myriad of superimposition tools in the literature, we could not find any able to account for rotational symmetry and display the graphical results in the web browser. Results BioSuper is a free web server that superimposes and calculates the root mean square deviation (RMSD) of protein complexes displaying rotational symmetry. To the best of our knowledge, BioSuper is the first tool of its kind that provides immediate interactive visualization of the graphical results in the browser, biomolecule generator capabilities, different levels of atom selection, sequence-dependent and structure-based superimposition types, and is the only web tool that takes into account the equivalence of atoms in side chains displaying symmetry ambiguity. BioSuper uses ICM program functionality as a core for the superimpositions and displays the results as text, HTML tables and 3D interactive molecular objects that can be visualized in the browser or in Android and iOS platforms with a free plugin. Conclusions BioSuper is a fast and functional tool that allows for pairwise superimposition of proteins and assemblies displaying rotational symmetry. The web server was created after our own frustration when attempting to superimpose flexible oligomers. We strongly believe that its user-friendly and functional design will be of great interest for structural and computational biologists who need to superimpose oligomeric proteins (or any protein). Espai de treball per a Pràctiques

Crear un espai compartit via web per a tots els membres d'una pràctica, regulat per un Gestor de control de versions i un Gestor de control d'errors permeten així als alumnes treballar amb la pràtica via web i als professors poder crear i gestionar la pràctica. Tot això estarà basat en un mòdul o plugin del Gestor de projectes Redmine, el qual treballa amb Ruby on Rails.
