Resumo:
Research on the attitudes, motivations and social and political behavior of European cadets have been made throughout the last decade. Nowadays Spain also joins those surveys. Thru the analysis of polling data, we can consider the different attitudes of Spanish cadets in relation with the other European ones. The conclusion is that although the Spanish political transition to democracy has not ended already in the military teaching system, there are a lot of similarities among Spanish and European cadets.

The aim of this article is to analyse those situations in which learning and socialisation take place within the context of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), in particular, at the level of experts in the Council Working Groups. Learning can explain the institutional development of CFSP and changes in the foreign policies of the Member States. Some scope conditions for learning and channels of institutionalisation are identified. Socialisation, resulting from learning within a group, is perceived as a strategic action by reflective actors. National diplomats, once they arrive in Brussels, learn the new code of conduct of their Working Groups. They are embedded in two environments and faced with two logics: the European one in the Council and the national one in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The empirical evidence supports the argument that neither rational nor sociological approaches alone can account for these processes.

This research project is an attempt to give arguments in favour of using cooperative learning activities in FL classrooms as an effective approach to learning. The arguments offered are presented from two different perspectives: the first one is based on the empirical study of three students working together to achieve a common goal. The second one is a compilation of the trainee teacher's experiences during her practicum periods in a high school regarding group work. This part is illustrated by some examples that emphasize that cooperative learning can facilitate learning, promote socialisation and increase students' self-esteem

El treballador públic és sotmès, des que comença la seva particular relació laboral, a un món fortament estructurat i amb una cultura, unes característiques i un tarannà propis i particulars. És en aquest procés que les forces socialitzadores del seu lloc de treball, juntament amb les del món exterior, el van formant com a treballador públic, fins al punt que es pot parlar del funcionari com d'una construcció. Això produeix una manera de veure i entendre el món laboral molt diferent de la que es té en l'empresa privada. Així, les aptituds, les actituds, les maneres de fer, les dèries i les manies només tenen sentit dins el seu entorn, que ell mateix comprèn com a totalment diferent. L'oposició com a ritual de pas, la socialització secundària, la percepció de l'alteritat, el qui és l'altre, el quan i el perquè, i els trets de la seva cultura - el temps, el treball, la normativa són algunes de les claus estudiades en aquest treball que ens ajuden a comprendre el perquè i el com d'aquesta construcció.

Important theoretical controversies remain unresolved in the literatire on occupational sex-segregation and the gender wage-gap. A useful way of summarising these controversies is viewing them as a debate between - cultural -socialisation. The paper discusses these theories in detail and carries out a preliminary test of the relative explanatory performance of some of their most consequential predictions. This is done by drawing on the Spanish sample of the second wave of the European Social Survey, ESS. The empirical analysis of ESS data illustrates the notable analytical pay-offs that can stem from using rich individual-level indicators, but also exemplifies the statistical llimitations generated by small sample size and high rates of non-response. Empirical results should, therefore, be taken as preliminary. They seem to suggest that the effect of occupational sex-segregation on wages could be explicable by workers' sex-role attitutes, their relative input in domestic production and the job-specific human capital requirements of their jobs. Of these three factors, job-specialisation seeems clearly the most important one.

En les diferents recerques sobre la socialització familiar són cada vegada més habituals les referències dels progenitors catalans de classes mitjanes i altes a la complexitat, a les dificultats i a la tensió creixent que implica educar els fills i les filles. Sobre això, i amb la teoria de la civilització de Norbert Elias com a fil conductor, l’article es pregunta pels malestars que actualment travessa la socialització familiar i els posa en relació amb quin és l’objectiu del mateix procés en la nostra societat immersa en un capitalisme financer i flexible. Així, si la finalitat és la «socialització terciària» (Mead, 1964; Bateson, 1984), dins les famílies emergeixen un seguit de neguits i malestars lligats a l’autoritat, l’autonomia, els hàbits, els conflictes i els càstigs, les normes, les convencions i les prohibicions, etc. que, segons el parer de l’autor, cal comprendre dins del nou context social i econòmic i en relació amb els nous objectius de l’educació familiar de les famílies benestants catalanes.

This article is part of a research focusing on the process of transition to adulthood of young people with intellectual disabilities. Specifically, this study analyses transition partnership programs, as the professionals involved in them see them. The information is obtained in two stages: in the first stage 45 interviews to professionals working in this field are conducted. In the second stage we develop a study applying the Delphi method in which two panels of experts, the first one with educational professionals and the second one with professionals working with afters chool services, were asked about several topics. The results show a lack of continuity underlying the actions taken in support of young people with ID during the transition process. Insufficient information and collaboration among services and professionals and a lack of leadership are the main problems perceived by professionals. The study helps to identify problems in the transition partnership programs and establishes actions in order to enhance the transition process

The aim of this article is to introduce one of the approaches of research that we consider may contribute to find useful knowledge for prevention of school failure. This approach is in some studies called the study of risk and resilience. The word resilience refers to the capacity of individuals to endure adverse events in their vital experience, without long-term negative or disrupting consequences in their development or socialisation. We present a review of studies that have been carried out with this approach. Then it will be exemplified with a research that intended to identify protective factors of the risk of school failure in at risk adolescents. By means of a qualitative case study approach, this research has allowed us to approach some personal, educational and social factors that seem to have a certain relevance as protective factors of the risk of school failure
