Amb aquest treball de final de carrera vull divulgar en format hipertextual el conjunt dels Dolors de Santa Maria de Mataró, que és segurament el conjunt de pintures més complet i més ben conservat del Barroc català. Totes són obra d'Antoni Viladomat i Manalt, el pintor barceloní més destacat de la seva època.

La cascarilla cerámica y su uso innovador

The ceramic shell is a material mainly used for making foundry molds. This research demonstrates that ceramic shell can be used for making sculptures with exceptional definition in its finish. The research has identified a number of advantages of the material to meet the challenges of an artist during the making of a sculpture. The research has been developed in six stages: In the first stage data were collected from the chaff as the process material. This was the starting point for research. In the second stage, we have set the appropriate composition of the slurry, both in percentage and type of binder, and firing curve. To this end, we evaluated the application characteristics, thickness, drying, mechanical strength, the reduction coefficient and porosity. In the third stage it was observed that the husk is suitable for all types of materials acting as support. It was also found that the slurry can be used with various sculptural processes: modeling, molding using silicone or plaster mold, shuttering, with internal metal frame, and so on. In addition, we have established methods to repair and modify the husk by hand and power tools. In the fourth stage we have found ways to modify the surface of the husk with other minerals that affect the structure: introduction of filing of copper, bronze and iron in the slurry ceramics, different staining procedure in hot or cold, by enamel slip, and so on. In the fifth stage sculptures were made using the methods established in the previous stages, to verify this hypothesis. The sixth stage, which is annexed, contains a new method to process the ceramic shell as a mold in casting that emerged from the proven methods in the investigation.

Interpretación versus ejecución : redescubriendo el lenguaje de la música

Interpretación versus Ejecución es un proyecto que pretende sentar las bases para el planteamiento de una versión propia e informada de obras de diferentes estilos musicales. Se presta especial atención a las prácticas propias de cada estilo – barroco, clásico, romántico y contemporáneo - y su posible aplicación con la flauta moderna en cuatro obras concretas. La metodología empleada ha consistido en la búsqueda de información en tratados, libros, artículos, así como entrevistas y clases con músicos expertos en cada uno de los temas. El proyecto pretende impulsar el interés del joven músico por una búsqueda personal e informada de las prácticas interpretativas que redunde en una interpretación propia de las obras que desee tocar.

Federico II de Prusia : el rey flautista

En un momento histórico en el que las tendencias musicales en Europa estaban a medio camino entre el Barroco y el Clasicismo, confluyeron en la corte de Federico el Grande una serie de músicos que trabajaron para el rey prusiano y que compusieron una gran cantidad de música para flauta, instrumento que él tocaba. La actividad musical del Berlín de esos años se convirtió así en relevante para el mundo flautístico. Profundizaremos en este trabajo en la figura del monarca, en la relación de éste con sus músicos y en las características principales de la música de la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII.

Socrates' serene attitude before his death -although this is questioned-, as described by Xenophon in his Apologia Socratis becomes for the playwright Rodolf Sirera a useful reference in an effort to reflect boldly on the limits of theatrical fiction in another clear example of the Classical Tradition, including that derived from Baroque Tragedy. However, in this case, it is judged severely to make us more conscious of the risk of turning life into a mere theatrical performance and human beings into actors and actresses in a play they did not write.

Hallazgos en Tarragona

Dentro de la serie de excavaciones que este Seminario de Arqueología ha llevado a cabo en colaboración con la Dirección del Museo Arqueológico, cabe destacar por la importancia y cantidad de los materiales encontrados la realizada el pasado año 1978 en Tarragona capital. Se trata de la excavación de una cisterna de época romana aparecida con motivo de las obras de construcción de un bloque de viviendas en una zona situada en las cercanías del Foro Romano, entre las calles del Dr. Zamenhoff y prolongación de Capuchinos. La cisterna estaba excavada en la roca natural, aprovechando, en parte, una cavidad de la misma. Sus dimensiones eran 4,6 X 4,20 X 2,40 m., y apareció en parte destruida por la acción de las máquinas excavadoras que la pusieron al descubierto. El suelo de la misma tiene un grosor de 10 cm., aproximadamente, y es de opus testaceum. El revoque de las paredes laterales es de opus signinum, con una capa de aislamiento a base de ceniza y cal. Cabe destacar la ausencia del medio toro característico de las construcciones romanas destinadas a contener líquidos. En sus tres cuartas partes apareció rellena de tierra y escombros. De entre los materiales procedentes de su excavación adelantamos el estudio de los fragmentos escultóricos y del monetario.

El concepto de arte público es un término polisémico cuyos significados se reflejan en la diversidad de recursos que podemos hallar en internet. Por lo tanto, la aproximación a dichos recursos requerirá una acotación del propio concepto, que transita entre los ámbitos de la escultura, el monumento, las artes visuales y el espacio urbano entendido desde su vertiente cívica. La aproximación a los contenidos de internet vinculados con el arte público se aborda desde tres áreas temáticas cuyo análisis nos ayudará a organizar un volumen heterogéneo de información. La primera área incide en el papel de los centros de investigación y ayuntamientos en la promoción, inventariado y catalogación de las colecciones de arte en el espacio público. La segunda se centra en aquellos sitios web que son entendidos como fuentes de información y herramientas; los denominados think tanks. La tercera y última destaca la presencia en la red de páginas oficiales dedicadas a autores y obras específicas. The concept of public art is a polysemic term, and the dispersion of its meaning is reflected in the diversity of resources we can find on the web. Therefore, the approach to these resources needs a delimitation of the concept, crossing the fields of Sculpture, Monument, Visual arts and Urban space, defined from a civic perspective. The management of these resources is addressed from three strands, whose analysis will help us to organize a heterogeneous volume of information. The first affects the role of research centers and municipalities in the promotion, inventory and cataloging of collections of art in public spaces. The second focuses on those websites understood as sources of information and resources, the so-called think tanks. Una pintura d'Antoni Viladomat i Manalt (1678-1755) a Manresa : l'Assumpta de Santa Maria de l'Alba

This painting with an exceptional iconography of the Assumption of the Virgin with All the Saints, was saved from a altarpiece in the church of Santa Maria de l'Alba in Manresa, which was burnt during the Spanish Civil War. The article attributes this painting to Antoni Viladomat i Manalt (1678-1755), one of the most relevant figures in the Catalan artistic scene in the 18th century, and it dates it to the latter years of his extensive artistic career. An analysis of the work shows that the Catalan painter incorporated some figurative elements that he borrowed from an engraving of the Swiss engraver, Jakob Frey (1681-1752), interpreted from a canvas of the Italian painter Sebastiano Conca (1680-1764). This helps to relate the canvas of the Barcelona painter-based on his previous figurative work with high Roman baroque- to the new proposals of the so-called Roman barrochetto. In addition the study hopes to offer the reader an artistically cultural view of Antoni Viladomat, openly concerned by the novelties that constantly reached Catalonia by means of the engravings
