This paper analyzes how the ideas and concepts of Europe have developed in Catalonia, under the conditions of a decentralizing nation-state (Spain) on one hand, and the European integration process on the other. It analyzes the programmes, manifestations of political leaders, and political actions of the Catalan political parties, specially the nationalists, from the setting up of the Spanish state of autonomies (1977-1982) until today. The paper tries to show how, in multilevel governance, holistic and enthusiastic visions of an economically and political integrating Europe as a natural ally of a Catalan nationalism were partially replaced by more pragmatic and even more critical assessments.

M. Daz-Andreu plantea un anlisis de las implicaciones acadmicas, sociales y polticas de la arqueologa (entendiendo como tal la investigacin estricta, pero tambin el coleccionismo de obras de arte) entre finales del siglo XVIII y el inicio de la Primera Guerra Mundial, perodo durante el cual la formacin y expansin de los imperios coloniales constituy uno de los elementos clave en el discurso ideolgico de los estados europeos. Su trabajo contina la lnea marcada por estudios suyos anteriores, esencialmente Nationalism and Archaeology in Europe (Daz-Andreu & T. Champion [eds.], 1996) y Excavating Women. A History in European Archaeology (Daz-Andreu & M. L. S. Sorensen, 1998), en los que combinaba el anlisis historiogrfico de diferentes aspectos y personajes clave de la arqueologa europea desde la perspectiva de la organizacin de las redes sociales entre investigadores, con la reflexin sobre las implicaciones de la arqueologa como ciencia en la definicin y defensa de diferentes credos polticos, y el papel de la mujer en la investigacin.

In the evolution of Catalan nationalism, as much politician as cultural, the period of II Spanish Republic (1931-1939) was essential. The obtaining of the Statute of Autonomy (1931-1932) supposed the beginning of a stage of expansion in multiple aspects. One of them were the contacts with the Catalanists nuclei of the rest of the cultural space of Catalan language in which, at that time, it would begin to call Catalan Countries (Balearic Islands, Valencian Country, Andorra, Rossell, to l'Alguer). On Those Collaborations between cultural organizations, political and particular parties Catalonia always will be the model to follow. The Increasing connections will be visualized on press, as well as on cultural celebrations, policy of parties and Constituent Courts. This evolution will be cut by the Franco victory in the Civil War in 1939.

Treball de recerca realitzat per una alumna d'ensenyament secundari i guardonat amb un Premi CIRIT per fomentar l'esperit cientfic del Jovent l'any 2009. El present treball s un estudi de la personalitat humana, literria i filosfica de Jaume Brossa aix com un anlisi del medi sociohistric que li va tocar viure. El mtode utilitzat ha estat, en primer lloc, un rastreig de material original, articles publicats entre els anys 1892 i 1902 en diversos rgans de premsa de Barcelona i Madrid. Una vegada obtingut el material requerit, sha sondejat per dins de les seves lnies fins a trobar quin era el seu pensament en molts aspectes, a saber: el seu posicionament entorn els grans centres datenci del seu temps: el nacionalisme, el moviment obrer, lesttica modernista en les seves parcelles de msica, literatura, teatre etc., tots aquests camps, tractats des de la base de la seva actitud regeneracionista i revolucionria. Lestudi sha realitzat des dun enfocament crtic: intentar esbrinar quines han estat les causes per les quals un autor certament notable de les nostres lletres ha estat marginat o, si ms no, minimitzat en el seu abast intellectual. I, tal com es planteja al comenament del treball, aquest consta duna recerca de causes, implicacions, contextos etc. que ens permetin esbrinar per qu Jaume Brossa ha estat desacreditat.

El catalanismo ha tenido desde sus inicios fuertes lazos con la ciencia, apareciendo como rasgo distintivo y elemento diferenciador del resto de la cultura espaola. Observando el impulso y desarrollo que han sufrido algunas disciplinas como la paleontologa y la antropologa, que devienen estratgicas para sostener los ideales de una poltica nacionalista, presentndose a los descubrimientos de ancestros humanos como smbolos de la cultura catalana. Los monos del mioceno vienen a explicar la evolucin humana y los descubrimientos del Investigador Salvador Moy-Sol, como Jordi, Pau y Lluc a su vez vienen a aportar una simbologa cultural nacional en la Catalua democrtica, entre las dcadas de 1990 y 2010.

Some historians have argued that 1996 marked a second transition for Spain because of the return to power of the political right in Madrid and that the relationship and eventual pact between the Partido Popular (PP) and Convergncia i Uni (CiU) meant that the state could finally escape the ghosts of its Francoist past. For this research, face-to-face interviews were conducted with Catalan Members of Parliament who served under either Jos Mara Aznar or Jordi Pujol in Madrid or Barcelona. Drawing upon both interviews and other evidence, including the analysis of election results and the 1996 Hotel Majestic Agreement, the research seeks to provide a better understanding of the previous relationships between the PP and CiU and their leaders in order to understand what lessons might be learnt that would contribute to anticipating and explaining possible future negotiations between the two parties. This is attempted by first examining the potential costs and benefits of political pacts between centre (Madrid) and periphery (Barcelona). Secondly, due to many interviewees making reference to Salvador Esprius work La Pell de Brau, the three routes of Esprius Catalan nationalism are put into the context of the political pacts. Finally, the likelihood of future agreements between PP and CiU are hypothesized, not only how those agreements may (or may not) come about, but also, what might the result of those negotiations be. Ultimately, it is concluded that the benefits of the Hotel Majestic Agreement outweighed the costs, thus leaving the door open for future negotiations, even if some of those interviewed disagreed.

Amb aquest treball s'intenta fer explcita la nova societat, el nou ordre, com els agradava dir als idelegs del nazisme, que Hitler i el seu partit van crear a Alemanya durant el seu mandat, i que volien estendre a l'Europa que havien conquerit.

L'objecte d'aquest treball final del Mster d'Anlisi Poltica de la UOC (2008) s fer una reflexi basada en casos de diversos pasos de caracterstiques similars a Catalunya, seguida de propostes estratgiques i de decisions a prendre sobre les condicions i seguretats que podrien fer decantar la poblaci catalana de sentiment nacional espanyol cap a un vot favorable a la independncia en un referndum sobiranista.
