The new Keynesian approach to monetary policy analysis: Lessons and new directions

I discuss several lessons regarding the design and conduct of monetary policy that have emerged out of the New Keynesian research program. Those lessons include the bene.ts of price stability, the gains from commitment about future policies, the importance of nat-ural variables as benchmarks for policy, and the bene.ts of a credible anti-inflationary stance. I also point to one challenge facing NK modelling efforts: the need to come up with relevant sources of policy tradeoffs. A potentially useful approach to meeting that challenge, based on the introduction of real imperfections, is presented.

Silene de Sennen

SILENE SENNENII PAU IN BOL. SOC. ARAGONESA CI. NAT. 4: 309 (1905) - Silene sennenii és un colitx dedicat a Frère Sennen, botànic occità i germà de La Salle que treballà en la flora empordanesa a principis del S. XX. Es tracta d’una espècie endèmica de la comarca de l’Alt Empordà fortament amenaçada (categoria EN, “En perill”), que ha estat estudiada per investigadors del BioC des de fa anys i, actualment, és objecte del projecte de recerca CGL2007-60475/BOS. Ha estat part de la tesi doctoral de M.C. Martinell, del Màster en Ciències Farmacèutiques de S. Massó i del treball dirigit de L. Guasch. JXTA-Overlay P2P Platform and Its Application for Robot Control

The design of an efficient collaborative multirobot framework that ensures the autonomy and the individualrequirements of the involved robots is a very challenging task. This requires designing an efficient platform for inter-robot communication. P2P is a good approach to achieve this goal. P2P aims at making the communication ubiquitous thereby crossing the communication boundary and has many attractive features to use it as a platform for collaborative multi-robot environments. In this work, we present the JXTA Overlay P2P system and its application for robot control. Since JXTAOverlay is able to overcome Firewalls, Routers and NATs, it is possible to control end-devices in a WAN without changing the network security policy. We used JXTA-Overlay for the control of robot motors. We evaluated the proposed system by many experiments and have shown that the proposed system has a good performance and can be used successfully for the control of robot.
