The fossil crown wasp Electrostephanus petiolatus Brues in Baltic Amber (Hymenoptera, Stephanidae): designation of a neotype, revised classification,and a key to amber Stephanidae.

The fossil crown wasp Electrostephanus petiolatus Brues comb. rev.(Stephanidae, Electrostephaninae) is re-described from a single male preserved in middle Eocene Baltic Amber. The holotype was lost or destroyed around the time of World War II and subsequent interpretations of its identity have been based solely on the brief descriptive comments provided by Brues in his original account. The new specimen matches the original description and illustration provided by Brues in every detail and we hereby consider them to be conspecific, selecting the specimen as a neotype for the purpose of stabilizing the nomenclature for this fossil species. This neotype exhibits a free first metasomal tergum and sternum, contrary to the assertion of previous workers who indicated these to be fused. Accordingly, this species does indeed belong to the genus Electrostephanus Brues rather than to Denaeostephanus Engel & Grimaldi (Stephaninae). Electrostephanus petiolatus is transferred to a new subgenus, Electrostephanodes n. subgen. , based on its elongate pseudo- petiole and slender gaster, but may eventually warrant generic status as the phylogenetic placement of these fossil lineages continues to be clarifi ed. A revised key to the Baltic amber crown wasps is provided.

En aquest treball de final de carrera es proposa la creació d'un sistema per a gestionar d'una manera molt més eficaç els processos de treball d'una cooperativa de taxis, mitjançant la instal·lació d'equips GPS en els taxis i la implementació d'eines informàtiques que automatitzin i optimitzin el procés de designació.

Lectotypification of Halymenia rodrigueziana J.Feldmann [= Sebdenia rodrigueziana (J.Feldmann) Codomier ex Athanasiadis (Sebdeniaceae, Rhodophyta)].

Here we designate as a lectotype of Halymenia rodrigueziana J. Feldmann the sheet JF2328 held in the Herbarium of J. Feldmann, included in the Herbarium of the Cryptogam Laboratory of the Muséum National d"Histoire Naturelle de Paris (PC). Also we present the correct citation of this species and for Sebdenia rodrigueziana (J. Feldmann) Codomier ex Athanasiadis.

La Divisió eclesiàstica en arxiprestats a Catalunya (1800-2005)

Arran del Concordat del 1851 els bisbats espanyols s’organitzen territorialment en arxiprestats. El mapa català d’arxiprestats presenta una complexa evolució històrica. Actualment s’observa una clara tendència envers la reducció del seu nombre (92). L’organització territorial arxiprestal reflecteix l’estructura del territori, la xarxa urbana i la percepció social de la realitat comarcal. Per això, la divisió eclesiàstica és un interessant element de comparació amb l’organització política i administrativa. El mapa de 7 vegueries (noves províncies) amb què treballa el Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya té una estreta relació amb la divisió tradicional en bisbats. Igualment, totes les noves comarques previstes per la Generalitat tenen una clara correspondència amb algun arxiprestat. Inversament, la designació de Sant Feliu de Llobregat com a seu d’un nou bisbat (2004) no hauria estat possible si aquesta població no hagués estat designada com a cap de partit judicial el 1834.

Denominació d'horitzons genètics (i capes)

En aquest treball es presenta una proposta per a la denominació d'horitzons genètics dels sòls de Catalunya, recollint especialment el cas de la gènesi dels que s'han desenvolupat sobre materials originaris rics en carbonatats i guix. Al llarg del document s'expliciten els criteris de denominació i les regles nomenclaturals adoptades, com també la utilització dels subíndexs per indicar els processos edafics i les propietats dels horitzons. Finalment, es presenta un conjunt de denominacions per als horitzons més freqüentment trobats a Catalunya.

Phylogenetic relationships of the newly discovered sexual state of Talaromyces flavovirens, comb. nov.

Typical Talaromyces ascomata were observed on dry Quercus suber leaf litter amongst the characteristic synnemata of Penicillium aureocephalum, and they appear to represent the sexual state of the latter species. The species is a synonym of the older Lasioderma flavovirens, and we propose the new combination Talaromyces flavovirens. Lectotype and epitype specimens are designated for this name. The defining characters of the asexual state include yellow, short-stalked, mycetozoan-like synnemata with an unusual, almost closed terminal head of penicillate conidiophores intermixed with sinuous hyphae, and dark green conidia. Ascomata could not be induced in culture, but PCR amplifications of mating-type genes indicate the species is heterothallic. In nature, ascocarp initials appear to be antheridia coiled around clavate ascogonia, similar to those of T. flavus, and the thick-walled, spiny ascospores are also similar to those of T. flavus. ITS barcodes and β-tubulin sequences place T. flavovirens in a clade with T. apiculatus, T. flavus, T. funiculosus, T. galapagensis, T. pinophilus, T. macrosporus, and seven other species.
